Scared, excited, nervousness filled me and was now part of me as I stared at the dead crusty cat in the circle…
“Come on!” I shouted to my friend Rebecca as I started panting like a dog. I stopped for her to catch up to me, I have to admit I was running the whole time so no wonder she was behind me. “I'm coming!” she exclaimed with a sigh of exhaustion and continued to trudge on through the poky cut down corn field heading towards the barn. This is going to be fun! I thought as I turned towards the barn and started walking. “We are here” I thought as we walked up to the barn, it was a gray, brownish color and had two floors and some holes. (and when I say some I mean a lot!) “Let's start on the top floor and then we can go downstairs and see the cat,” I said very quickly.
In brief to get in we have to step on a log and climb up onto a platform with a ladder and wood planks and hay scattered all over the place a railing was running along the middle of the platform. “What are these” Rebecca said as she picked up a gadget that looked like a bolt of some sort and looking at it intensely like if she looked hard enough she would know what it was. “Probably just a bolt” I said a little too cocky and looked at some of the other stuff we collected when we have came here the other times and I thought of the time when my brother found a bone buried in the dirt! I ignored her, now I think that was kindof mean to do. “Do you want to go down stairs” I said,
Seeing as there was nowhere else to go, you shuffled over to the opening and frowned. It was dark and you could just barely make out a doorway to what was most likely another room. What really threw you off guard was how nicely the doorway was carved. An intricate pattern wove itself around the exit. Did that mean… someone else was here? At the thought of possibly being able to get out of here with the help of another person made you scurry over to the patterned doorway with little hesitation. The sleeves of your two-sizes-too-big sweater fell down to wrap loosely around your forearms when you reach over and grabbed the wall to peak around into the next area.
raggedly, and trying to go even faster. They were behind me, I knew they were. I could hear them, but I
The next morning, the gang met me at the edge of the forest. While we are on the way to the cabin I thought about the stories of how kids that went in never came out.
“It looks as if the room might be used as a nursery for a child.” I slowly slid the door open and cautiously walked into the room followed by Anthony.
to sprint down the hallway. I didn’t look behind me. I kept on running until I couldn’t hear
“Okay, I know you guys are very tired from the walk, but guess what! We made it to the site!” Sarah stopped us and said.
“It was obviously smashed from the top, by someone standing behind it.” I concluded aloud.
“We have to get back to the cabin, it's getting dark.” Aiden advised. They all paused to look at their surroundings before continuing their trek through the woods. After ten minutes of walking, the woods finally parted to make way for an old wooden cabin. Cleo, Aiden, and the old man sighed as they looked up from their shoes to see the cabin. The cabin reminded them of warmth, and the sooner they could get inside, the sooner they could change out of their wet clothes and shoes.
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We won’t be late!” I hollered as I scampered up the stairs to get Elise.
As he stumbled through the wet forest, branches smacking his face and bushes tugging at his boots, he spied a little cottage, with smoke rising from the chimney. He walked up to the porch, completely unaware of the feeling that he’s being watched. He knocked thrice upon the door of the cottage, and waited in the pouring downfall. The door
Majestic, noble, and brave, this famous iconic wild animal on the planet has captivated the people since the beginning of time. They are most feared by other animals thus, known as the king of the jungle – no other than the lions. Member of the genus Panthera, the lion is one of the big cats in the Felidae family. A lion’s head and body size average about 4.5 to 6.5 feet and tail of about 26 to 40 inches in length. A lion also weighs about 265 up to 420 pounds and a size relative to a 6-foot human. These mammals are also carnivores. Lions have always seen hunting in groups called pride. While lions generally avoid a full-grown elephant, lions still prefer their preys large like the zebras, buffaloes, and giraffes. Poised as the top animal in the ecological pyramid, lions have strong physical qualities, fascinating reputation, and an unfortunate decreasing number of population.
" I had to help this girl," I exclaimed. As I spoke I heard this sound. " Do you hear that?" I questioned.
“What was that?” I ask myself. “Well, maybe it’s just something new they added to the store.”
I looked at my dog and made eye contact with his large brown eyes. Time seemed to slow down as I read his eyes like an open book. I still remember the look today, while I was laying on the couch next to him. It was the most terrifying sight I’ve ever seen. My dog, my best friend, and the only thing to trust me with everything calmly could show that he had accepted death. For me though he was still could wagging his tail for us. The night I saw this was October 22nd at 8:02 PM. This dog changed my entire perspective on life. He was a dog that could instantly make a room bloom as a flower would, but with joy. He loved life and those around him and that caused us to love him so much.
My first dog was named Toby, he was a very white, ball of fluff. He blended in with the shiny white crispy snow on December 25, 2006. My sisters and I were on our way home from my dad’s house when all of a sudden we pulled into my mom’s house. On Sunday, December 25, 2006, Toby was waiting at our house. We all got out of the car on that cold snowy day and walked on the slippery sidewalk. The snow was like a chilling carpet on the bottoms of our feet. My mom opened the door with a camera so my sisters and I knew something was up. A shocking step in the house and we saw a very fluffy dog, we were very excited. He was like a deer in headlights. There was a bunch of screaming and yelling going on at that moment between the three of us. We
