9-11 brings back of flood of memories for just about everyone. So I believe that is why this 9-11 photo pulls on my heart in many different ways. At the same time, it makes me so happy to see our flag still flying high. The saying “A photo is worth a thousand words”. Really backs this photo. By analyzing this photo you can see the heartache, and worn out bodies not giving up. They were each determined to help one another. Among all this in front of the dusted air you can see our flag flying high. The flag is propped on a beam. To me this is symbolizing that we are not defeated. This photo says that WE are The United States of America, and that no matter what we will not be defeated. You can analyze that from our flag that is still flying high in the photo. It also shows how no matter what we all stick together, you see this as there are firefighters, citizens, police, and many more helping to find loved ones. Through the sleepless nights, dusted air, and rubbish. These men and women never gave up. Just by looking at this one photo it says it all United We Stand. United States of America.
The topic of 9-11 hits home for a lot of people. It is something that has forever changed the world in a good way as well as bad. For me, it is very important for two different reasons. When this attack happened I was a young child in kindergarten. I don’t remember a lot of what took place that day. However, I remember a teacher running in the room whispering to turn on the TV, I remember a
September 11th 2001 there was a surprise attack on the United States by terrorists. The terrorists allegedly hijacked four airplanes. One was meant for the White House, one was meant for the Pentagon and the other two were meant for the twin tower which fell and many lives were lost. However some say it was not terrorists and that it was the United States government and that the government set a bomb and that they had several motives to do this.
The late 1990’s into the early 2000’s was a time of great economic success that took a turn for the worst as the war against terrorism began. In America, the economy was at its peak especially on Wall Street until September 11th 2001. The attacks that occurred on September 11th deeply affected America. The attacks caused the Dow to drop tremendously along with causing the recession to deepen. America was led into of the biggest government spending periods in a long time. The cost to fund the war along with to rebuild the economy held a toll on all Americans. America had to dig itself out of a hole. Unlike the economy, technology was on the rise. Many new inventions such as wireless internet, mobile devices, and new forms of social media were created.
Many People are still affected emotionally by September 11 2001 today. A huge number of people are still facing mental health issues. They are trying very hard to forget about the past and move on with there every day life. Many still fear that there might be another terror attack in the United States. The American psychological association found that people living in New York who have experienced the World Trade Center attack are showing more mental health problems more than any other place. Many people feel that we should honor our love one and the police and fireman that lost their lives because of 9/11. The National September 11 memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center has been established to honor the dead and respect the historic site of America’s tragic loss. The memorial was opened on September 11 2011. It consist of two huge pools with the nation’s largest human=made waterfalls located on the site between the two fallen towers. The name of those who died at the WTC, pentagon, and in Pennsylvania aboard flight 93 . The Museum presents a gallery that tells the story of 9/11. It contains artifacts, photographs and multimedia display.
"A plane just crashed right into one of the Twin Towers!" Someone yelled. People were screaming because they were on fire. Others were fleeing for their life, but all I could do was stare in awe at the smoking hole in one of the biggest towers in New York. September 11, 2001, one of the most devastating days for me, and for all of America.
September 11, 2001 was not just any ordinary day for the citizens of the United States and the city of New York, but a devastating attack that has put us all in shock and fear. As all of you know, the Tuesday that this country was ambushed and attacked destructively by terrorists, was one of the saddest days America has ever seen. Not only did it affect the people that were in the World Trade Center Towers and the loved ones who unfortunately passed away, but it affected our country as a whole. Scared, devastated, astonished, and surprised are just a few words that begin to describe September 11th. As separate states and people, I can confidently say that America has never been closer together as one than on that
The morning of 9/11 I wasn’t going to go to work because I had an allergy appointment,
On September 11, 2001 the World Trade Center buildings one and two were attacked. However, who we were attacked by and even if we were attacked is a hard decision to make. There have been many different claims about how everything on that fateful day happened. There are facts that we know are true, though; Flight 11 flew into the North Tower at eight forty- six in the morning. Soon after, Flight 175 attacked the South Tower. By the end of the day, both towers had collapsed and other hijacked flights had caused damage. The amount of lives lost on September 11 was substantial; 2,749 people from eighty-three different countries died from the attacks (Facts about the attacks…, n.d.). All in all, America was changed forever.
9/11 was one of America’s most devastating attacks. The world had stopped to many, and it was also the blackest day in America. Around three thousand people died as a result of the attack. Debrid from the buildings covered the city after the collapsed. People were covered from head to toe in ashes, relying on each other in this time of need. Rescuers scoured about the city in search of survivors and even casualties, resulting in the death of many of the first responders. After the attack, the National September 11 Memorial and Museum was planned to commemorate those who lost their lives. 9/11 was a horrific event in history that will, hopefully, be investigated to find the true reason behind the attacks. This has only raised more questions than answers. However, we continue to mourn their death and celebrate their lives. We shall never
In 2001 on September 11, there were attacks that were made at the two world trade centers in New York City. These attacks led to things America has never seen before. The attacks of September 11, 2011 forever change security in the united states as well the American people’s thoughts of immigrants
Many people, including myself, would consider the terrorist attack of 9/11 as one of the most horrific events in US history. This event had changed and affected not just America but the entire world. .
September 11, 2001, the United States was attacked by terrorist. It involved four planes that were hijacked. Three planes hit buildings such as, World Trade Center 1, World Trade Center 2, and the Pentagon. Another plane eventually crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. September 11, many Americans fear for their lives, 17 years later, do we actually know what really happened? What secrets are the government is keeping from us American citizens? There's questions that still have not been answered.
George W. Bush once said that “Our enemies have made the mistake that America’s enemies always make. They see liberty and think they saw weakness.” 9/11 was a devastating day in American history. Men, from the terrorist group Al Quada, attacked America on their own soil for the first time since Japan attack us at Pearl Harbor. But there are some things we can isolate from it. The basic overview of it. What were the terrorists doing to get ready for the day, and what was their major purpose and intention.
While 9/11 was a very important moment in the lives of many Americans, not many realize the direct impact this tragedy has had on their lives, and their country. For one, 9/11 greatly changed America’s involvement in wars. It also completely changed the way airport security works in America. Finally, 9/11 caused the American government to begin collecting significantly more data from its citizens, something which has been quite unpopular with the American populace. No matter how you look at it, 9/11 has left a permanent mark on America.
What happened on September 11th 2001 was a tragedy, many innocent people lost their lives, and these people include police, firefighters, and many others. No one would have ever imagine that something so tragic could have happen, when all seem to be going fine with our country. September 11th has left a scar and on not just the families of those that died that day, but also the people across the nation. Many are still grieving over the loss of their wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, aunts, uncles and many others. The memory of this tragedy is still enlisted in our minds and every time September 11th come’s around for some
Do you ever have one of those moments in your life in which you will never forget where you were? I remember waking up early on September 11, 2001, getting ready for school and my dad telling me hurry up to watch the news with him. Being in 8th grade at the time, the news really wasn’t something I would watch in the mornings so I knew it had to be something important. Then I saw it. An airplane crashing into a tower, people panicking, and mayhem ensuing in a city very well known to me. When any tragic event like 9/11 occurs, the effect it will have on a nation is tremendous. It left America in shock, anger, and sadness just to name a few adjectives to describe the insurmountable amount of feelings that we felt on that day.
