Myrtle Beach, South Carolina attracts about 14 million visitors per year because of its warm weather, beaches, and activities.
During the summer of 2015, my brother, Ryan and I traveled to Fayetteville, North Carolina to visit my cousin, Julian, aunt, Heather, and uncle, Rich. As they have a condo in Myrtle Beach, Heather wanted to take us there. Julian was going to go along too, but Rich had to work at his dental office so he couldn’t make it.
After spending about three days in Fayetteville, it was finally time to take the drive to their condo. On the way there, we first had to stop at the local Starbucks since it is a daily ritual of my aunts. While sipping our Starbucks we drove through several rundown cities and ended up seeing a large

Its an activity that non surfers can enjoy with a similar experience. I loved searching for the perfect waves to get my farther and farther up shore. I always knew I caught a good wave whenever I experienced such an exhilarating feeling when I was just effortlessly pushed forward by the seas. The feeling definitely made up for all of the missed …show more content…
Boardwalk is similar to a fair on the ocean. It has several shops and restaurants along the area's borders. It also had games and rides. Before shopping we went to a fancy seafood restaurant where we had lobster, crab legs, salad, bread, and pasta. When we finished with the meal, we began our adventure along Boardwalk. We stopped in many shops but what caught my eye was a boat in the center of the Boardwalk doing fast turns and tricks. We found out that people can ride on them, so naturally, us kids wanted to ride on them. We found the ticket booth, bought our ticket and waited for our ride.
The ride was full of adrenaline. It actually felt like a rollercoaster and that you were going to be launched out. Nonetheless, I would do it again.
We returned to our condo to sleep after some shopping, eating, and lots of walking. The next morning we were to head back to Fayetteville .
Before officially leaving, we stopped to get wings for lunch. Although the wings were good, let’s just say that there were two very gassy and silent boys in the

It was a sunny Friday afternoon when I decided to take my observations with me out into the world. This day happened on my spring break, in the beginning of April, my senior year. As I walked upon the beach the salty, floating breeze of Panama City was enough to make my knees go weak. I looked into the clear blue sky and saw the perfection of life. I took a moment to gaze about what nature has offered to me. Everything on this beach has its own unique feel and it has its own way of making you feel calm and relaxed.
Stepping out of my silver 2008 Nissan Altima, the blistering heat is impossible to ignore. Feeling the moist humidity of the air along with the aggressive beating down of the sun almost immediately draws sweat. A crisp breeze washes over me, bringing forth the aromatic scent of fresh pine. The red dirt road brings an unforgettable memory of wrecking bikes and drifting four-wheelers.
On the morning of June 17, 2016, I woke up with a smile on my face like it was Christmas morning. I launched myself out of bed to take a quick shower before I was to meet my friends to leave for Daytona Florida. We planned this trip months ahead of time when we found out there was a truck meet on the weekend of June 18th and 19th. The truck meet we went to was where anyone who owned a pickup truck could come down to Daytona Florida and drive on the beach to get to mingle and entertain one another for the weekend. We met at a local gas station in Morgantown Kentucky at eight that morning. There was eleven of us total going on the trip, my father, Robbie Henderson, my friend Seth Gaskey and his father, Jimmy Gaskey, my
It was a beautiful sunny day and my family and I were driving on the expressway. We were in my Dad’s blue truck with the fifth wheel behind us. We had the windows down in the amazing 80 degree weather. We were around our exit, Myrtle Beach! I was so excited for the trip and couldn’t wait to put my foot in the blue, cold, salt water. After the like 15 hour drive we had just suffered through I was expecting a pretty great trip.
It was June 10, the day we got out of school and headed to the beach. It was our annual family trip to Myrtle Beach which meant going to Family Kingdom, River City, to the ocean, and playing around. I couldn’t wait it was finally time to go and as soon as we got on the highway my mom stops the car and turns around because she forgot her pillow. That didn’t really bother me because everyone forgets things. We were about two hours into the trip when my brother realizes that he forgot his phone. He complained the whole rest of the way how he wanted to go home and he didn’t want to go all because of his phone. But the best part was soon to come. We stopped at a convenient store to rest and get a snack. I got a bag of Chex Mix and a Blue Raspberry
As the Days turned to weeks and the weeks turned to months I heard more and more about our special guest coming to our small town. Almost enough to believe it, but the information came from unofficial sources so I didn’t plan on the event to come true.
We have always gone to this beach because when all of us kids were little the adults made a pact stating that they would never take us to Ocean City or any other place that is built up with boardwalks or other distractions. They wanted us to go the beach to just enjoy the ocean and our surroundings. We never got a beach house with a pool for the same reason; they did not want us to have that as an option--it was the ocean or nothing.
In most cases, when people hear the name South Carolina they instantly think Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach is one of the most popular places in South Carolina. Why is Myrtle Beach so popular? Myrtle Beach is popular because of Ocean Boulevard, better known as the “Strip.” The famous history cultivated the popularity of Ocean Boulevard, along with the amusement parks and entertainments, the best dining places, special events and most of all its beautiful weather especially in the summer.
In 2014, I decided to have my mom a Mardi Gras themed 50th birthday party. Chris and I decided to drive to New Orleans on a Friday afternoon, the weekend after Mardi Gras, just to buy decorations for the party. We drove back on Sunday and, therefore, we spent Saturday sightseeing New Orleans. This may sound insane to most people, but we love spontaneous trips like this. Since this was my mom’s birthday party, naturally we asked her to go with us to help pick out decorations. We also asked Chris’s mom to go because we wanted to have a fun weekend with our moms. This was the first trip that we took with both mom’s together and how our travelling as an entire family started. The trip to New Orleans was also before the blog was even thought
Before we go back on the thruway I was hungry again. So we went to a Friendly’s for the final part of our trip. After relaxing for awhile and eating we figured it was finally time to go home. So we go back in the car and headed home. Before we even got to the thruway Jim was asleep in the back seat. I fell asleep right after we got our toll
Picture a beautiful city surrounded by tall skyscrapers soaring into the clouds and the beautiful statue of liberty standing still on the water. You walk down the street passing hundreds of little shops and restaurants, all the while you are taken a back by the breathtaking beauty of the city that you are gazing upon. Now picture laying on the beach at sunset listening to the ocean waves. The air is crisp and the smell of saltwater is bitter sweet. The locations I’m describing are New York City and Myrtle Beach. I have 2500 dollars to take on vacation to one of these destinations and I am comparing and contrasting the two. I will be considering the cost of travel, food, hotel, and also activity and
Once, we arrived at the Myrtle Beach State Park Campground we parked and hooked up the electricity and water to the motor home. When we arrived my aunt and uncle were already there and hooked up. When we were all straight, we headed to Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse. This steakhouse is a very expensive place to eat. It has a huge salad bar and people come around
I walked along the beach. As I was walking I could feel the fresh smell of the beach like it was an air freshener but it also smelled that gave me a tingle in my nose. As I kept walking along the beach I could feel the light breeze coming against me. This fresh air felt warm as I felt like I was sleeping in a comfortable bed. I kept walking in the beach, as I did it felt like an escape to all my problems and also my stress. Beach felt like a solution to all my problems and could be open with anything.
The warm breeze of the ocean air flies past my face. The heat of the yellow sun was sizzling, beating down against my skin, tanning and burning it within seconds. Beach goers were crowded around in all directions. Seagulls gliding past the groups of people, scouting for dropped or forgotten food to eat. Their little footprints marking a trail in the sand all over the place, going in a million different directions, searching for their next meal. I take in the exquisiteness of it all, the blue-green waves crashing into the sandy shore, making white foam and bubbles wash into the sea, little boys and girls that are digging in the bright white sand running away from the small waves before they get wet. The beach is a stunning place to be; there's just something about the ocean waves and the sand between my toes that makes me just want to stay there forever.
