Worldview is regarded as the crucial basis of reality and is dominant among culture. It consists of classes, norms as well as values that provide an overview by which is observed as an overview that people use to examine the universe. As a result of unique wide perspective associated with worldview that everybody has, there are evidences of similarities within communities, family setups and among the culture. (Shelly, 2006). There are many different ways to completely define the term “Worldview”. To actually have a worldview it means that you have built a particular opinion of life. The opinions that have been created will help in the development of ideas or decisions as well as how the world around you is perceived. No two people will have the same worldview, most people live their lives. (Open Bible, 2015)

What is a worldview? On the word of Dr. Lew Weider & Dr. Ben Gutierrez (2013), "A worldview is the reflection of ones' heart; or internal existence, ones' mentality, feelings, and desires. The complete process that brings forth one's beliefs."

What is a worldview? To have a world view means that you have created a personal opinion of life. Those opinions you have created, help you make decisions as well as help you learn how to portray the world around you. As to be expected, one man’s worldview will not be the same as yours but it is always good to share your views with other people to hopefully open their eyes to your perception on certain topics. Finally it’s also good to listen to other people’s views to expand your own personal knowledge on the Christian world view.

A worldview is not determined simply by a single factor, value, belief or view. It can be described as a collection of beliefs a person has about his or her life and the world around. This worldview can include aspects such as a consistent decision making process, an idea of what is right or wrong, and also who or what authority do I respect and follow. The worldview of the Founders of the Religious Right is based upon the presupposition that God has sovereignty over life and man (Martin, page 58). I concur with their worldview; God’s Word provides me with the knowledge and principles necessary for fellowship, to see the truth, and to guide me through all facets of my life. Evangelical leaders believe that institutions have the responsibility to serve in accordance with God’s law. I believe the Bible outlines the structure and the function of all institutions in God’s covenant and in addition, it states that each one has a limit to its authority.

Indeed, the 1989 edition of the Oxford English Dictionary defines world-view as a "... contemplation of the world, [a] view of life ..." (Funk, 2001). The word contemplation can also mean inspection or observation. Many things go into a person’s worldview and everyone’s worldview will be slightly different. An individual worldview is comprised of the total of that individual (e.g. their history, religion, priorities, etc.).

That’s what I want to know. That’s what I’ve always wanted to know. Hell, it’s what I’ve built a worldview on, a life on. Observation and speculation, understanding and knowledge. I’ve always felt so damn interested in.. Well, everything. But there’s a reason for that, a reason I didn’t really realize fully until just now. Just a disclaimer: Maybe I’m pulling the reason out of my ass; I sort of doubt the validity of anyone’s true ability to fully ‘know’ themselves, or anyone, or anything… But I thought this warranted some expression of my thoughts.

A worldview is a mental model of reality. It is the idea and attitudes towards the world, life, and us as individuals. Each individual has their own unique worldview. People acquire a worldview by how they go through life, it may change or even stay the same. How they grew up, life situations, values, religion, and attitudes are factors that may affect one’s worldview. There are many questions that can make up one’s worldview. How should we act? What gives life purpose? Where did we come from? These are some of many questions that can help define someone’s worldview. The book The History of Rasselas, Prince of Abyssinia by Samuel Johnson, brings up many worldviews. The characters in the book go on a journey to figure out their worldview. Which I think this is the best way to build someone’s worldview.

This world consists of many different humans who have many different opinions on life. I cannot begin to explain each worldview. But what exactly is a worldview? We can just break the word down and say a person’s view on the world, or viewing the world through different religions or through other people. Everyone has a worldview, and all people act and in a certain way because they are guided by a certain worldview. Sample states, “The interpretive ‘lens’ helps people make sense of life and comprehend the world around them. Sometimes the lens brings clarity, and other times it can distort reality.”
