A district officer team should be present and involved in the district that they are serving as well as helpful and enthusiastic about FFA overall. I believe that district officers should be willing to help members in anyway they can, whether that be by supporting them in CDEs or encouraging them to take the initiative in their chapter. As a FFA member selected to represent the Western Idaho District, you should be diligent, respectful and hard working, so as to show that you are truly derserving of the office position you are awarded.
I’m still trying to identify my strengths and weaknesses, and how I can use them to my best advantage. Being a HOSA district officer would allow me to expand and strengthen my leadership skills, and allow me to effect a larger population. If elected district officer, I want to communicate with other district and state officers to build a sense of community and teamwork which I believe is a strong aspect in constructing a very capable team. Communicating with other state officers would allow us to accomplish much bigger tasks which we would not be able to achieve as individuals. As Helen Keller once said “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so
For consideration as a Lieutenant within the Intelligence & Analysis Crime Unit, Regional Operations & Intelligence Center. my experience of supervision, dealing with outside vendors and ability to manage complex data systems would make me a good fit for the Intelligence & Analysis Crime Unit. Used by the NJSP and various outside agencies, the Voicebox system is a primary tool of police wiretapping operations. Furthermore, I have managed the entire MAPPS System software, this includes negotiating with outside vendors and writing of waivers each valued at a quarter of a million dollars or more. Having been an assistant unit head since 2011, and in charge of two enlisted and five civilian personnel, my experience in managing personnel is established. My current assignment in the MAPPS/SPU Unit has required a wealth of different skill sets including, editing and writing SOPs, completing MAPPS Supervisory Training Lesson plans, and instructing hundreds of new supervisors.

The International Association of Chiefs of Police Research Center Board of executives, Smaller Law Enforcement Agencies Technical Assistance Program developed a New Police Chief Mentoring Project (IACP, 2013). Supported by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, U.S. Department of Justice, the focus is to make available official support to newer law enforcement leaders in the first three years of appointment, who are serving in smaller populations less than 50,000 citizens. Faced with an unfamiliar problem, Coach P, of the West Point Crew team, had a JV boat that was consistently outperforming the Varsity team on different measures. Upon preliminary analysis, it appears that the problem is simple: the selection of the varsity team was flawed and many of the athletes were misjudged and subsequently misplaced. However, the coach analyzed this possible flaw through seat races and even decided to demote varsity rowers to the JV team and JV rowers to the varsity team; the unlikely outcome was that the JV boat would win by even more, meaning that the demoted rower actually made the JV boat faster. This unlikely outcome revealed a deeper flaw within the Varsity team’s attitudes and motivations that sharply contrasted with those of the Junior Varsity team.
The fifties proved to be a difficult time for baseball. As America was busy changing baseball remained the same. The middle class began to move out of the city to the suburbs, away from the major league ball fields. Therefore, leaving behind low-income mostly black families, which did not bring much profit to the ballfields. The fields and parking lots were too small to bring any real profit to the teams as well, and many whites were too scared to venture into these neighborhoods to even watch a game.

1. The transition from officer to supervisor is difficult and sometimes isolating. Discuss some issues that complicate the transition. I think some issues that complicate the transition is the fact that the officer had a personal relationship with his coworkers where they saw him as a peer. Due to that relationship, he previously acted and spoke without a filter. The officer now will have to deal with “things” from his past being brought up. Having more tenure officers passed by for the promotion also complicates the situation. Most people would imagine that an officer with more experience would be promoted first. However, they don’t stop to think that being a chief requires more than just experience.
