Early landscape photography used the same principles used in painting in order to create works of art. Prior to the 18th century, landscape was painted only as a backdrop for a principal subject. In the latter part of the century however, artists such as John Constable and William Turner have started romanticizing the environment, using it as a principal subject in paintings. Photography was invented at a time when western cultures were exploring new lands. It was used as a medium for documenting the grandeur of the natural environment and usually included small details.
The 1930’s were filled an enormous sense of vulnerability and angst because of the horrifying events of the Great Depression and its impact that it had on the society and economy of the United States of America. People of all classes, races, genders, and heritages were struck by the tragedies of the Great Depression. However, with new advancements in the technology of photography came a new hope and outlook for the future of Americans. The introduction of colored photography along with organized photographic groups and their impact took the World by storm as the realization of normal citizens being impacted by the Great Depression set in.
In the early nineteenth century landscape artists painted scenes of America’s east side near the Hudson River, but by the mid-nineteenth century Landscape artists tended to paint portraits of the newly explored western territory and the South American tropics to show a more extravagant side of the United States.

It was a method which was all about recording images by using light or radiation on a sensitive material. The first known camera was created by Alhazen also known as who lived around 100AD he invented the first pinhole camera this camera was used to capture the movement of the sun. Photography was explained to be the science and art of documenting photographs by capturing light on a light sensitive material which included film or an electronic sensor. Light could be reflected from objects which could expose a chemical or electronic material during a timed exposure which is typically used through a camera which can store the information chemically or electronically. Landscape paintings became of interest to artists as a way to depict nature, a man’s spiritual place in the world, and his relation to God. The paintings of nature became a way for artists to express themselves visually and spiritually, while also expanding what people could see, read, and feel. Landscape paintings helped to grow communities and expand western movement. There was an issue between tearing down and using the resources of nature to build communities and to increase material wealth.

According to Craig White, a professor at the University of Houston Clear Lake, the romantics believed nature as the truth and beauty of life. The painter’s landscape art was often referred as skying, which meant to look at clouds. Constable was primarily preoccupied in recording the sky and examining the atmospheric effects on the landscape. Constable said’ “I should paint my own places best (John Constable)”. The camera has given man the power to reveal the truth visually. Throughout history photographs have made enormous impacts on social consciousness and ultimately shaped public opinion on many pressing issues in society. Although photography is often considered a casual pastime, the invention of the camera has contributed to many aspects of history, science, and other important pieces of todays world.
Throughout years, landscape paintings have been recognized as a historical artefact, as well as important documents that been collected for years. The world as we know it was much more different back centuries ago. We remember the past by looking back through paintings and pictures and even through cinema. Landscape paintings have been capturing the historic moments throughout time.
Landscape photography can be widely well-liked. I believe if you research your home you will notice at least two landscape prints that spoke for you. Photography is usually an art with a message. As some sort of photographer you need to find your message you intend to portray. If you are dedicated to landscape photography you could think your task is not hard to full. As having any photography you should pay care about the facts, the lighting, shadows, theme, and the gear.
One reason the camera was the greatest invention was because it helps people keep a hold and learn from the past. When people take photos, they can retain them from generation to generation making sure the memories
