“He can go all the way!” says, the announcer. “That concludes the games folks! The new England Patriots Wins the Super Bowl In a nail bitter finish!” “Woah, did you see that?”. Said, my father in excitement. “Yeah! I can’t believe they actually won!” I replied in shock. That was me as a 7-year-old watching the N.F.L. Super Bowl. This is a perfect example of how entertainment media have shaped American culture. But there’s more! World Cup (Soccer), Smackdown (Wrestling), Movies, Video games, News, etc. Ok, let’s dig a little deeper. Technology has been a working progress for as long I’ve been living but made tremendous improvements. Depending on the device you are using, that can limit or expand your entertainment possibilities! Technology! It’s everywhere! You can’t live without a phone. More importantly, a phone that can do everything a computer and a phone can do. So, for entertainment media to broaden its platform, you must get creative and put yourself in the user’s perspective. I say it’s negative due to the facts that on television, majority of the things displayed is negative. What they say is that, sex sells and morally, that’s wrong but it brings income to the entertainment industry. Crime is constantly being displayed all over movies and the internet. With the young generation with phones, they have access to different crimes and how to perform these acts. They epitomize their favorite rapper who promotes taking Percocet and drinking prescription drugs for the high feelings.
