Every day veterans are unattended to, or their appointments are rescheduled. So many veterans are homeless because they can’t or won’t be hired, to me this is unfair. I know many veterans that would rather not go to the VA or be cared for at the VA because of their lack of being cared. The way I see it is, if the people/ workers at the VA work there they should know what they’re getting themselves into. yes the VA is insane, and deranged etc., but hey if you work there stay committed to help and take good care of our veterans, to help the people who is or have fought for our country as a favor in return to
By forming these strong interpersonal relationships and working with the VSO’s I was frequently able to obtain information, support, or concurrence that would allow me to resolve a Veteran’s claim. After moving into various management positions within the Veterans Service Center (VSC) I continued to work towards building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with these and other organizations in order to further the goals and interests of the VSC. I accomplished this by participating in outreach events, focusing on improving relations with the RO’s VHA partners, and by focusing on providing timely responses to requests for information from partners to include, VHA, VSO’s and exam
After years of admirable service, many veterans choose to make the transition back to civilian life. During their enlistments, they’ve learned invaluable skills that are highly sought after by employers. For these individuals, the experience was a powerful and empowering experience, but it’s time for a new chapter in their lives. Each year, more than a million veterans take advantage of resources that are provided specifically for current and former military personnel. Just as there are many reasons why these men and women decide to go back to school, there are many resources to aid veterans in the process.
The center will have certifying official to answer any questions relating to military and veteran benefits, academic success and transition
