For my Final major project I wanted to develop and design surface patterns made by using fruit, vegetables, flowers and natural forms to create repeat patterns and dyes. ed to explore creating different surfaces using textured vegetables. For my final outcome I wanted to create a garment so the whole way through the project I developed my ideas. My initial ideas started with ceramics as I continued to make test tiles during my research at the start of the fabric in the sketchbook. I then took these experimental tiles to continue developing my use of oxides. As it was the first time using oxides I experimented using different colours and glazes which made each tile have a different effect and which tiles showed the detailed of the imprints …show more content…
Throughout the project I visited a lot of different exhibitions. I found inspiration from a lot of different Museums and galleries. Also from Bristol Museum where I was intrigued by the mass collection of porcelain ceramics, and the delicacy of each table ware item. So I looked into a variety of different raincoat ideas looking at a lot of different designers who inspired the journey of the raincoats such as Mary Quant who controversially designed the first PVC raincoat. This inspired me to create a plastic see-through raincoat made from Plastic shower curtain material. In October I then visited the London Knit and stitch show which developed my thinking I came across an Indian fabric stall which made me then look into Indian patterns and the bold but detailed patterns. And because I then was looking at different waterproof fabric I picked up some wax cotton which experimented with to show how the textured fabric works with pleats and different structure as to whether I will get this printed on. Even the Exhibition at the Royal academy I

This is to ensure that the necessary raw materials and physical resources are available at each stage, and that the workforce on site has the right skills for the scheduled work. The project management team will need to produce a series of planning documents that can be accessed throughout the project. Each member of the project management team must know their role and responsibilities, including which sections of the workforce they will be directly managing.
Once we arrived, we looked up possible exhibitions that we could attend. A museum employee recommended African textiles. After hearing the title, I immediately expected this exhibition to have complicated and precise components to the tiles. African textiles are, in fact, made of wool or fine animal hair in a weave patterns. Although the exhibit was interesting, it wasn’t what peaked my interest.
The divestiture of Conoco by DuPont also reflected changing conditions in the energy industry. As noted in a May 12, 1998, article in the New York Times: DuPont bought the oil company in 1981 as insurance against the pricing and supply tactics of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. But oil prices have been far less volatile than it feared, and DuPont continues to de-emphasize the petrochemical side of its
One cold sunny weekend in February of 2014 in Madison, MS the Saint Stanislaus boys just arrived to the hotel where they would stay for the night before the big game. All was good the night before we ate and later went to sleep. We all woke up around eight in the morning and had breakfast. We left for the fields around twelve because the game was at two in the evening.
When you pour oil into the water the oil separates from the water as bubbles and floats to the top and looks like a film on top of the water.
Having a present interest in vintage and retro fashion led me towards the idea of a vintage themed art piece. I contemplated a range of ideas and after some compromise, I decided to work with the theme ‘vintage’ by devising ideas around crafting everyday objects into a piece of art. Vintage items, including, classic books, cameras, type-writers, cushions, buttons, prints, wall paper, etc. were all considered. I wanted to expand on my knowledge and talents, therefore, I decided on sewing a stylised and imaginative artwork combined with the use of appropriate, complimenting materials.
My personal favorite design is the swirl to a bullseye, so I began by making my pillow cases into that design with the rubber bands. I then went out to the garage
Marcia Pointon argues that the material practices of making clothing are similar to the production of creating artworks. Supporting her argument, Pointon examines garments that are made by tailors, for the reason that they are made by hand and not mass produced and compares their creation to the handiwork of an artist. Pointon explains that both the tailor and the artist start with cloth and that they both work by fabricating, cutting, meshing, and layering. Describing further, the author notes that both tailors and artist piece together shapes, pay attention to horizontal and vertical lines, must fit the figure on to one rectangular surface, and use outlining to prepare for their creation. Moreover, Dolan relates that both the tailor and the artist both work in fiction.

Every since I was a young girl I have been always asked by, what do you wanna be when you grow up? I know some people that change their minds every week of what their future hold for them and how they are gonna live through it. The future is changing every second of our lives, everything single thing that we do affects what our future hold for us. All my life I have been determined on one thing in my life. I have always wanted to become a doctor no matter what. I know that there is nothing that is gonna change my mind about that. Technology has helped many people with what they do at their job, however it has also harmed their jobs also.
My future is something I often think about. Most often, the questions that arise include the common doubts of “Am I doing this right?”, or even the occasional midnight philosophical questions such as “Why are we here?”, and so on. For the purpose of this essay, I will focus on the factors that have allowed me to reach this point in my life and how these factors influenced and continue to influence me, in order to provide me with a visualization of my future.
The proposed document must be constructed to demonstrate the need for a new for-profit transportation service. It will present a business plan, and then go into detail about characteristics specific to this service.
Stepping upon a simple stage was the best thing I could have ever done. Overseeing the multitude that was there to witness my every word, every tremble, every emotion, and every heart beat, was then that I realized that the sentiment was real. It was essentially the end of time and I could not bear to hold back what I no intentions of doing. Cry. Tears of joy darted down my face as I walked across the stage and received my ultimate gift. With fancy inscription, my gift was entitled “Class of 2009”. I had just graduated.
