As a woman I can testify that finding the perfect outfit is never easy. I am capable of recognizing appealing styles on others but I lack confidence when it comes to shopping for myself. With this in mind I recently signed up with a company whose goal is to take away the stresses of hunting for an ideal wardrobe. The success of this business could make countless women very happy. The best part is, it’s not too good to be true. Stitch Fix involves setting up an account, reserving a date to receive a “fix,” then reviewing the items sent by your stylist and deciding if it is all worth the cost.
Similar to Peterson who did a review for the Business Insider, I went to Stichfix.com and filled in my personal information including details about what sizes I wear, the styles I prefer and questions about my lifestyle. Even though these details are necessary for the stylist to build the best profile, I couldn’t help but agree with Peterson when she says, “The survey was so involved that it felt like I was filling out an online dating profile.” On top of completing the questionnaire I also created a Pinterest board full of different style ideas …show more content…

"The algorithm will often be better than a stylist in determining what a customer will like," Lake said. The technology understands written feedback, in addition to rating systems.
