Oakley will develop his peer group entry skills play by assuming what role is available to him in the peer group, over the 6 months. This will benefit him because he declined to play “Tug o’ war”. The benefits are that Oakley will participate more in active peer groups; he will not just stand their and look at the children playing; and Oakley will be more engaged in the peer group. In conclusion, we as Marines should always take the initiative as Marines before us have always done throughout history. We can’t be the generation where we lose this leadership trait simply because we just don’t want to do it. In order for me to fix the peers in my unit on the leadership trait initiative I would give classes reiterating how a Sergeant should use this trait as well as give historical examples, then have SGD and have everyone partake in EDG, and finally just have everyone hold each other accountable for not taking the initiative.

I will work hard and lead by example, proving that our task is not impossible. I will hold my organization in high regard initiating a positive atmosphere for my subordinates and superiors. I will encourage my subordinates to continue their education by taking college courses and bring current event articles to work so we can stay up-to-date with information around the world.
