Exercise On My Body, Soul, And Mind

When I was little, I felt like I was always active. I was always out with my friends, playing, running around, and having fun. However, after starting school, I had less time to be active. I played during PE and recess, but when I came home, some of my time was taken over because of school work. This pattern continued, and my time for individual exercise only decreased as I got into high school. I was able to stay relatively fit by doing sports during school, and so I did not take as much time to exercise on my own outside of extracurricular activities. Exercise not only helps people improve their physical condition, but it also improves aspects regarding the soul and the mind. Even without any outside evidence, through past personal experience, I can say that exercise has an impact on my body, soul, and mind. The impact of consistent exercise on the body is apparent. If I start lifting a ten-pound weight, I will engage muscles required to lift the object and over time, I will be able to lift a twenty-pound object. If I run a mile everyday, my endurance will improve and soon I will be able to run two miles. By exercising consistently, the physical body is changed. For instance, the weight of a person may increase or decrease based off the person’s diet and exercise. In addition, the size of the muscles in the arms can be increased by doing specific exercises that will train the muscles in the arm (like the biceps, triceps, and deltoids).
