In conclusion Adnan is innocent the so called evidence is not strong enough to go against him. Even though Adnan seems guilty he shows his ultimate innocence because after 17 years he has not said he is guilty. I think the thing i learned about this project is evidence is the key to everything if you can't prove something what good would it do you sure they might believe you you have to show them for they could believe you even more. This concludes what i think about the serial podcast.
The criminal justice system is meant to protect the innocent, and punish those who are guilty of a crime. However, no system is perfect, and as a result, sometimes the innocent become victims of the system that was meant to protect them. How exactly do these innocent people become victims of the system? Sometimes the person gets framed, and the crime scene is staged to point a finger at them. Sometimes, there is no strong physical evidence against them, yet circumstantial evidence is used by the crown to put them away. This happened to a 17 year old boy named Adnan Syed in Baltimore, Maryland, who was imprisoned for life, for the alleged murder of his ex-girlfriend Hae Lee. Throughout the Serial podcast, Sarah Koenig is able to critically analyze information which proves Adnan’s innocence. Firstly, Asia’s letters gave Adnan an alibi for the time of the murder. Secondly, Adnan’s innocence can be demonstrated through the lack of any strong evidence and the prosecution’s use of circumstantial evidence which can be disproved. Thirdly, Jay’s constantly changing testimony is not credible evidence of Adnan’s guilt, making him innocent.
My verdict is Adnan Syed is innocent of the murder of Hae Min Lee. I reached this verdict after analyzing the evidence and determining that there was a reasonable doubt that he committed the murder. The following pieces of evidence showed he was not linked to the crime: The first piece of evidence talks about the lack of physical proof.
A lot of people wonder if Adnan Syed is guilty or innocent, today as a legal assistant I'm going to tell you one important reason why he is innocent. Adnan is not guilty because there is another potential suspect like Jay. Jay's story that "proves" Adnan's guilt, has changed every interview and testimony. Jay had intimate knowledge of the crime he knew things, like if he knew every single thing that Adnan was thinking about which makes everything looked suspicious. Also Jay's stories don't quite match Adnan's cell records.
Adnan Syed is accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend, and various factors present him as a very likely suspect. Information put together by the state don’t add up, but instead prove he is innocent. Is Adnan guilty or innocent for his ex-girlfriend’s death? In the Serial Podcast, journalist Sarah Koenig discusses the case, committed almost seventeen years ago, and uncovers new evidence that indicates Adnan’s innocence. Adnan Syed has been viewed as a boyfriend, honor roll student, and a murderer. Many described him as a smart, flirtatious, and a likable high schooler. On January 13, 1999, his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, was murdered. Investigators immediately assumed Adnan as the primary suspect because Hae had broken up with him, a month
When someone is innocent, they aren’t blamed for a crime, and when someone is guilty, they are blamed. So, would Adnan Syed be innocent or guilty, for being accused of murdering Hae Min Lee? The podcast Serial is narrated by Sarah Koenig, which is about a man named Adnan Syed who was put in jail for “killing” a woman named Hae Mine Lee. Adnan’s ex-friend, Jay, accused and turned in Adnan into the police, stating that Adnan killed Hae. Because of this, Adnan was convicted of first-degree murder and was sentenced to life. After investigating the case, it is clear that Adnan is innocent because he had a good relationship with Hae after the breakup, he was a good student, and there was no trace of Adnan that showed he killed Hae.
Adnan Syed is innocent. I believe this because one, everyone says things that don’t make sense or don’t add up. Two, how could Adnan do this if he cared for Hae as much as he says he does? Three, every time it seems like the blame should fall on Adnan, people doubt that he’s not the one to blame. First, Adnan Syed is innocent in my eyes because all of his witnesses say different things and things that don’t add up. For example, almost all of the witnesses said a lot of “he was probably there”, and “from what I can recall”. Next, Adnan cares and wants the best for Hae, so why would he kill her? Adnan stated that he just wanted her to be happy that’s all he cared about, does that sound like a murder to you? Lastly, there’s too much doubt on
The world we live in today is not the same as it was in 1999 when a high school teenage girl disappeared on January 13th, 1999 in Baltimore County. Hae was supposed to pick up her little cousin from kindergarten on the day she went missing but never showed up. This raised suspicion because she was known to be very responsible. Hae-Min Lee’s body was found six weeks later on February 9th in a park not too far from Woodlawn High School where she attended. Hae's ex-boyfriend Adnan Syed became the prime suspect in her murder and has been in prison ever since. Sarah Koenig re-investigates the trial upon Adnan's friend's request Rabia who strongly believes Adnan is innocent. The State does not have enough evidence to prove Adnan was guilty because
The state used cell phone records as proof of the murderer. And in some of the calls in the call log it matches the state's story of Adnan killing Hae. So they used that against him. Now my other quote is “ Right. That looks pretty bad for Adnan.
The case of Adnan Syed became very popular after the journalist Sarah Koenig made a podcast with her group and collected all the information that related to Syed’s case. Sarah and her team made many interviews with Syed’s friends and the people who related to the case. The trial convicted that Syed had killed his ex-girlfriend. Many of Syed’s friends believe that Syed is not guilty. Also, many people who did not personally know Syed and read the case about him think he was not guilty. Other people see he involved in the case, so he is guilty. There are many doubts about the court's decision to imprison Syed lifetime. These doubts made this case mysterious. Syed may be not guilty if the detective, prosecutor, and the jury
Although i believe Adnan is innocent some people may think he is guilty because his palm print was on a map book. Some people may argue that he committed the crime, this reason is why people think he did it that he was mapping were to bury the body. They were looking all around the park for clues and found the map. But i think this source is not that reliable because they could not tell if this map was 6 weeks old or six months old the palm print.no one knows he could of went there a bunch of times it is still a public park.he could of went there along time ago just to visit and might of threw the map away without even knowing.
Adnan also has a witness for after school that day. Asia McClain saw Adnan in the library after school, when he was supposedly killing Hae. Asia wrote a letter to Adnan explaining that she saw him in the library and so did her boyfriend and his friend. The police and even Adnan’s lawyer did nothing with this evidence that could have made this
The podcast Serial explores the murder of Hae Min Lee in 1999 involving intense evidence for each episode portraying the moments up until Lee’s murder. There were many people who were tied to her murder but Adnan Syed; her ex-boyfriend becomes the central character. Jay Wilds, Syed’s friend is the key to the case, testifying against Syed, however, numerous questions arise about Jay and additional people and what his or their purpose was in this murder. For example, Jay admitted to burying Hae’s body but was fearful of speaking about it because of the illegal things he was into. Furthermore, Adnan Syed was convicted, however, the podcast will raise a number of questions around who really did kill Hae Min Lee.
Similarly, Koenig in Serial spends many hours reviewing the case attempting to discern, whether Adnan is guilty or innocent. She spends many hours on the phone with Adnan, even more than she does with her friends. Koenig feels invested in the case and in Adnan. When Adnan says, “I mean, you don’t even really know me though,” Koenig gets very insulted. Koenig believes that through the over thirty phone hours she logged with Adnan, she got to know him. She even calls this Adnan’s hostility, as she describes in her podcast following this statement “This is the closest thing to hostile Adnan has ever gotten with me.” The case certainly is very time-consuming for Koenig, and perhaps becomes a big focus of Koenig’s life to figure out whether Adnan
Upon listening to the first episode ''The Alibi,'' Adnan Syed’s story instantly reeled me in.
Base on the law, plan to kill someone already constitute murder. The suspects not only killed the Roger Whetmore, but also ate him in order to survive. It was already unethical. Some of the people say that they kill their shipmate in order to survive suppose to be justified. In this case, they could wait for a couple days. Someone might suicide so they could eat the person who suicide. People said they would get more fresh meat if they killed the person instead of waiting for suicide. At this moment, they had waited for fifteen days. All of them already ran out of energy and reached the limited that human could reach. Even though they waited for another day, their body would not change a lot. The variety were almost close to zero. Problem came again. People argued that if they waited for another days, then they might die. I would say no one will murder if one of them actually die. They could eat the person who die first and the rest of them would survive in stead of murdering someone. They would just be immoral instead of committing murder. Base on those, I think the suspect as guilty as charge.Their action toward Roger Whetmore were not justified.
