We should have vending and soda machines in the hall because some kids are poor and either don't get anything at home to eat or just get hungry fast because they got little to eat. Even if you are not pore you might have not had time to grab something to eat. And if you either don't get anything or you don't have anything and you don't like the cafeteria food you have nothing to eat for most of the day. Say in a situation you are running late for the bus, you don't make the bus so your mom rushes you so she can take you to school and still make it to her work. So you don't have time to get anything from your house and you can't make it to breakfast and even if you could you don't like the food at breakfast so you don't get breakfast or second
Kids would actually have time to eat their food. We students have no time to eat the food we paid for. Because not only do we have to wait in ginormous lines for the majority of the time. There are some of us who have to
For example, our school only has two microwave for the students to use and one more in the classroom if they teacher will let us if the students need to head of food. Their also two mini fridges that are for teachers and students and somethings who just have to get their early if you want a spot in the drug for your food. Some kids are tired of fight for a spot in the fridge and go across the street before school and get a sandwich to avoid being apart of this mess. This causing students to not eat because they are not liking their choices. Our school does have online lunch where we will get food to come to our school but you have to order it days before and what if you chance you're mind and then don't it, moment is going down the drain. Some kids forget their lunch and are left with food that they don't like or just need it because food is getting expansive.t also allows kids to try new food and students can enjoy new food with their friends. This option for kids to go off campus wouldn't be for everyone but would be open
Obesity can often be the consequence of living in a household that instill unhealthy eating habits. Schools can be a positive influence on teens early in life so that obese teens can lead into their adult lives with healthier habits. With these healthier habits, they may likely have more energy to become positive influences in others lives to be healthy and be able to do more. If schools can make such an impact on students’ lives, they should try, even if they needed to sacrifice extra money or instructional time. In 2007, there was a study that only one fifth of high school students had eaten fruits and vegetables at least five times a day in a week (Wexler, 2010). While it is unreasonable to force someone to eat these foods, if they are regularly offered as part of school lunches, students may eat them if they have finished the rest of their lunch and are hungry. Schools should be encouraged to even add fruits and vegetables to vending machines for healthier options.
For many previous years, Anaheim High school has had a couple lunch system changes finally settling on two lunches, both being half an hour long. With both lunches only being half an hour long, for certain, more than one thousand students being in each, imagine the lunch lines! Making line to get your lunch takes already about fifteen minutes, half of a person’s time already, which leaves little time for a student to enjoy their so called meal and free time with friends.Based on other student’s experiences dealing with school lunch, one can rightfully assume that high schoolers would much rather hold in their hunger until after school rather than have the food being provided. There is not a single day that goes by in which a high schooler does not complain about the “worst than jail” food being served to them. This proposal will go into detail about why having an hour off-campus lunch can increase healthier eating habits between the undergraduates of Anahiem High School. In this layout, you will read about the issue of why we believe off- campus lunch would be a healthier choice for Anaheim High school students, you will also encounter our plan of how we intend to carry out this idea, what exactly needs to be done, with the help of who, and so on.
There are some a couple of reason why I think that vending machines should be around the schools and open all day. First, students get hungry because of their metabolism. For example, students may eat during the lunch periods. Also, it would be a huge benefit for kids who do not have a reduced lunch. Last, better snacks may fill up a students outside their lunch periods.
High school food options raise problems for students. School lunches may not be the cheapest option for the students or the district. According to "Duluth high school principals want to stick with open campuses," Duluth’s principal, Tonya Sconiers, opposes a closed campus because of the financial burden. This program change would cost the school approximately $239,000 to supply what would be needed for the new food policy. In addition, the lunches provided by the school lack quality. Students report the food as bland, and portion size is not enough to fuel for the entire school day. Numerous students involved in after-school activities cannot perform their best without a sufficient amount food in their stomachs. The food should provide energy for the students throughout the day. For low-income students, this lunch might be the only reliable daily meal.
HELP! I'm dying!... because school lunches are cringing! Students should be allowed to leave class during lunch hours, and be trusted to leave and return back in time for their next class. If high schools gave students this right it would teach them how to manage their time wisely and it would help them become responsible. Students who leave campus during lunch are most likely end up going to a local business to get their lunch which is both good for the students and the local businesses. Students with special food allergies could leave campus during lunch and go to their homes and get food they could actually eat and not be worried that their food could have been cross contaminated to something they're allergic to. Students who leave campus during lunch would come back energized and ready for their next classes.
Changing the type of food to incorporate delectable choices for students that aids the young palate. Another topic of discussion would be school expenses for other educational supplies that have other important use like desk or electronics that would often need replacement from overuse. With the increase in savings, the school could also explore different options for those students who do not meet open campus policy requirements. Disregarding the teens who are not off campus during lunch to have similar advantages; thus, no food is wasted and the process will become
Students could leave campus, get food, and be back for time given from the school. If students could leave campus to get either a restaurant, get food at home or a fast food restaurant the food would be so much better than the schools food. Students could go to a small restaurant tor a diner. Students could go home and make their selves food. They could go to fast foods restaurants around the area such as McDonald’s, Hardee’s, or Subway. As long as students are back within the amount of time given students should be able to leave campus to get food. School lunches are not healthy for students most of the time. You do not know what the food they are serving you is half the time. If students were allowed to leave school for lunch it would give them a little bit of freedom for an hour. If they could leave campus for lunch it gives them a chance to have a break from their classes. Many students tend to fall asleep in class, if they could have an hour lunch break they could go home eat and rest for a little while. Students may feel trapped staying in one place for 8 hours. Many students also get bored sitting in classes for so long leaving for lunch give them the chance to move around and get out of
Some of my fellow students at Conroe High School don’t eat lunch in the cafeteria. For instance,I eat lunch everyday in the agricultural shop all the way behind the rotunda at our school, and my fifth period is in the main building upstairs. Because of this, sometimes I have to leave lunch early and don’t get to finish it only to be able to make it back without getting a tardy. Another example would be, the kids that eat in the Music Hall of our school or even a science classroom, and we don’t know exactly when the teachers release from the cafeteria. They get a referral because they were tardy too
How would you like it if the lunch lines weren’t so full but your students all had a filled stomach? Well I honestly believe that if you gave only 11th and 12th graders the opportunity to leave campus for lunch and it would make everyone’s life easier.
I believe that students should have access to vending and soda machines. This is because, they would have more freedom, would have more options, and the students would be happy and kind to others. This is why students should be able to have soda and vending machines.
Therefore, modifying the Healthy Hungry-Free Kids Act of 2010 is a great start to meeting the needs of a more diverse student body. In deciding to keep the program the same, active and athletic students leave school undernourished everyday. Consequently, students not receiving their nutritional needs could also quench their hunger with unhealthy alternatives. For example, they could choose to visit a gas station before a sport practice to get through the practice. A healthy lunch program is ineffective if, in effect, it causes students to consume more unhealthy alternatives. Overall, this either causes undernourished students or students indulging in unhealthy alternatives. Neither of these is a good outcome for the students health, it would more effective to offer a second serving of healthier food during
Some people don’t have time in the mornings to eat breakfast, so when they wake up, they go hungry until lunch; which is a minimum of four hours
You can probably see all the food the cafeteria is wasting by just looking in the trash after each lunch, to see that students have thrown away there food without even touching eat or just eating parts of there food and throwing the rest away. Its important for
