Method
For this project, we used exploratory research to conduct our analysis on healthy eating. Due to the little knowledge we had regarding healthy eating, we needed to get information from the general public regarding their opinions toward healthy and unhealthy food. Our goal was to find a potential relationship between the cupcakes and the chicken and spinach sandwich. By finding a potential relationship, this could be used for further research experiments regarding the opinions towards healthy and unhealthy foods. We used mainly qualitative research questions to conduct our survey, while having a few quantitative research questions to help compliment the data. Using qualitative research questions was extremely beneficial to our research study because it

We decided to use the descriptive text questions because it allowed the person taking the survey to freely express their opinion on the given question. Some questions were set up by first having a quantitative research question and then the respondents were told to explain why they chose the given answer. This allowed us to get a more detailed response, thus giving us better insight on healthy and unhealthy eating.
Results
The results we got were very surprising, yet very insightful. The first question was whether our respondents would be more satisfied with a cupcake or a chicken and spinach sandwich. The majority of the respondents chose the chicken and spinach sandwich due to the fact that it was more filling and a healthier option. Many respondents decided that a cupcake would not benefit them as much because it was not only unhealthy but it wouldn’t count as a proper meal. Next, we
It has been observed that, in recent days people are more preferred to have fast foods. Therefore, rate of Obesity has been increased day-by-day and affect the overall well being of the human health. As suggested by Freeman and Moutchnik (2013, p.5), healthy food habits helps to lead a healthy and disease free life. It has been observed that, Gregg’s bakery is a leading bakery organisation and nowadays they have
The majority of Americans give the argument that healthy food takes up too much time. They state that they do not have enough time to prepare healthy meals with a busy schedule, whereas convenience foods are easily squeezed into a day. This common misconception often
David H. Freedman, a consulting editor for John Hopkins and author of several books, writes in “How Junk food can End Obesity” about the dangers of ruling out Fast Food as a way to decrease obesity in society. He argues that using nutrients to gauge the healthiness of a food is an adequate way to increase health in society, and that most “healthy” foods contain a lot of unhealthy ingredients that do not promote health. He also advocates small changes of about 50-100 calories in meals to encourage people to stay on their diets and promote long-term weight loss. He also points out the severe monetary difference between health foods and fast food. He ultimately wants to promote using the forum of food in society to decrease obesity in society, rather than making the large leap from junk food to whole, natural foods.
Researchers are looking at the effect of food health outcomes, as well as examining which solution will have the greatest potential to improve conditions (Gallanger 1). Many supermarkets are heavy on processed sugar and fat laden foods. These foods are the reason why obesity became a big
A. The study of food classifications has served us as a helping hand in understanding how people view foods and how they consume them.
Authors Alice Waters and Katrina Heron, proposed an idea that more money being put into the food would help the poor nutrition that cheap food gives . This cheap and unhealthy food has shown its way over the last decades. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention mentions that childhood obesity has doubled in the last 30 years, and adolescent obesity has quadrupled. My idea, is that lunches could be five dollars a day. Instead of pizza, chicken sandwiches, and cheeseburgers; each day of the week can have a certain day where cultured food is served. For example; on Mondays, Italian food would be served, on Tuesdays, Chinese food would be served, etc. This is a much more appealing food option than the two dollar lunches students currently eat. This would also benefit the students because they would look forward to the certain day where their favorite food is served, while also being healthy. Another poll I created asked whether my idea of cultured food days would be better than the everyday pizza, chicken sandwich, and cheeseburgers. Ninety-nine percent of the students agreed that my idea was
I. IntroductionBecause of the omnipotence of fast food chains in America, when we feel the urge for an easy meal, Americans, in general, immediately look to the fast food nation for a quick suppression to their hunger. Because we live in a time-is-money society the most efficient means of hunger satisfaction is the almighty drive-through. Corporations spend billions of dollars advertising to enhance sales of their products. With American catching on to the lack of healthy food options in the fast food nation, fast food chains began campaigning healthier food such as their salads and fruit cups. However salads may sound healthy but a Southwest Salad with Grilled Chicken from McDonalds has 320 calories and 90 grams of fat. Where's the "healthy" in that. Now that Obesity is the second leading cause of preventable death in the U.S. we need to re-evaluate the importance of healthy eating. By increasing awareness of the

In an essay, “Don’t Blame the Eater,” David Zinczenko argues that alternatives and nutritional facts on food are lacking. For example, Zinczenko states, “Complicating the lack of alternatives is the lack of information about what, exactly, we're consuming” (Zinczenko 242). Zinczenko is mistaken because he overlooks how Americans choose food carefully. In my view, Americans pick food depending on their emotions because they help them maintain their health. Specifically, they eat food at a fast food restaurant if they are feeling sad.
In addition to Balko's claims, Carol Ann Marples and Diana-Marie Spillman conducted a survey for high school students. Due to the lack of participation, the students were asked what their attitude were toward school lunches. The article states, "The quality and variety of foods offered were significant factors affecting the students' decision to participate" (Marples and Spillman). Marples and Spillman's point is that the students are less likely to purchase low-quality foods. Another constraining factor is the variety of foods the school's cafeteria provides. These factors conclude that our spending to "manipulating the array of food options" (467) is unnecessary since students are choosing to not participate.
Many of the research methods for which the research we have reviewed is classified as either exploratory or constructive. Rape culture, victim blaming, and rape myths encompass more gray areas (uncertainties) than mere black (wrong) and white (right) understandings. As few of the studies specifically sought to gain insight in what is considered consent, therefore they exploratory research wanting to purely define and identify the miscommunication and mixed opinions of interpretations of consent, as they consider this to be a root to the problem of rape (16p.907)(8p.470)(19p.518). A couple other studies we found went a different route and chose to test theories they had relating to rape and then went on to propose solutions
We took two versions of the same foods, one with additives and preservatives and one without, and fed them to participants. The foods are as follows: Canned and preserved carrots and carrots that were boiled in salted water at home, chemically preserved bacon and naturally preserved (salt) bacon, coke sweetened with high fructose corn syrup and coke sweetened with cane sugar, and mountain dew sweetened with high fructose corn syrup and Mountain Dew sweetened with sugar, and made from scratch vanilla cupcakes and vanilla cupcakes made from a boxed cake mix. We ended up having store-bought vanilla cupcakes with poppy seeds for the first half of our experiment and vanilla cupcakes made from boxed cake mix for the second half because we did not have access to boxed cake mix at first and then re ran out of vanilla cupcakes with poppy seeds, so the box-made cupcakes were introduced. They were very similar in flavor and the change made no impact on our experiment. The participants were fed the food, one version and then the other for all the categories and then asked to identify which foods they thought had additives and preservatives and then asked to justify their answer. This was to ensure that they were not simply guessing the

For most Americans and Canadians, the ideal meal is fast, cheap, and tasty. Examine the cost putting profit, value and convenience over nutrition and environmental impact is important to the well-being of the world.
