Explore the different learning theories and learning styles

Introduction
For this case study assignment, I will be writing about what Visual, Aural, Read/write, and
Kinesthetic (VARK) learning style or styles I have and how it relates to two different learning theories. I will also be discussing how my identified VARK learning style or styles will affect my online educational pursuit.
After taking the Visual, Aural, Read/write, and Kinesthetic VARK questionnaire study, I found based upon the answers to the questions I was asked, I was deemed to have a multimodal learning style

Behaviorism learners are shaped by positive and negative reinforcement and feed back which in turn would increase the possibility of an event happening again. If you were to incorporate negative reinforcement than it would decrease the possibility of an event happening again. In essence, Behaviorism learning tasks require a low degree of processing (sounds good to me) and associated with frequent behavioral responses (Positive feedback/reinforcement). I am a simple minded man who loves positive feedback and reinforcement. I will excel in whatever
I do with this type of theory. I’m sure many excelled throughout the years under this theory.
Who doesn’t like hearing that they done a great job? I think my learning style can relate to this type of theory. Let’s move on to the Constructivism learning theory. Constructivism learning is based on real life experiences to solve problems. It encourages hands on and collaborative or group based learning which would broaden brainstorming ideas and expand points of views.
Because of the items mentioned, I believe that both the Constructivism learning theory and
Behaviorism learning theory would best relate to my learning style. My Multimodal learning style will defiantly have some pros and cons that will affect my online educational pursuit. My main concern since I haven’t
I agree with the result of the questionnaire in Vark. The website suggests me to use several strategies like Multimodal strategies, Visual Strategies, Aural Strategies and Read/Write Strategies to improve my learning efficiency. However, according to the questionnaire’s result, using the kinesthetic Strategies is the best way to help me improve my learning efficiency since I scored 10 on the kinesthetic column. In Kinesthetic Strategies, I have to learn in different ways like from doing different experiences in the laboratory, going on a field trips or tours. I do learn something new about myself from the questionnaire’s result since it helps me to understand my strengths and weaknesses. After doing this test, I might have a better understanding

Teaching theories are as much part of the classroom as the student and the teacher. The effect individual theories have on an environment depends how they are incorporated within the classroom in addition to the influence they have had on the curriculum construction. This essay will briefly look at how motivation theory, cognitive and social cognitive theory along with constructivism have impacted on education and the classroom.
According to Fleming (2001): ‘People can be grouped by different learning styles, visual, aural, read/write and kinaesthetic.’
Some students may be a combination of these sensory modalities making them a multimodal learner. Over 60% percent of learners fall into the multimodal learner category (Fleming & Mills, 2011). Learners in this category may switch from each of their learning strengths to fit the situation or presentation of
From an early age I found learning hard and in my early educational years I
The acronym VARK stands for visual, aural, read and kinesthetic comprised if 16 question to analysis and gain a better understanding of personal learning styles (VARK a guide to learning styles, 2016). Understanding of personal learning style aids in the ability to teach others in a variety of styles to ensure that the learner has an understanding on new information. An analysis of an individual study will aid in the understanding of how the VARK learning styles can be applied.
According to the Vark questionnaire, there are four types of dominant learning styles; Visual, Aural, Read/Write and Kinesthetic. Additionally, Vark introduces a sub category of learning called multimodal. (Fleming, 2011)
Accruing a score of 47 definitely place my learning strategies in multimodal with Whole-sense approach group. This composed of
Upon my completion of the VARK learning style quiz, my results indicated that I have a Multimodal learning preference. After reviewing what this truly means, my results signify that I learn best by typically having the same material presented to me in several different forms in order for me to grasp and learn the material. Whether it be hands on learning, listening to learn, visual learning, or learning by reading and writing; a combination of some or all depicts the best way I will learn and understand the matter.
After taking the Vark questionaire I learned that I have a multimodal learning preference. I like when people explain things to me. I also rather see a visual or do things myself. I learn best by having someone explain things to me. For the aural section of the questionaire I scored a 12. I scored a 9 in the Visual and kinesthetic
There are many theories that are relevant to classroom teaching today. Marsh (2008, p. 17) states that “each theory is nothing more than a set of reasonable suggestions”. A teacher should look at the information available to them and take what is necessary to achieve a positive learning environment in their classroom. This may mean taking a little part of one theory and combining in with another part of a different theory, there is no singular theory or theorist that encompasses everything that is required in a modern classroom. Some of the most important theories of learning are motivation, constructivism and behaviourism. Teachers choose their teaching style and strategy to complement their students, to arrive at their own personal
Personal learning styles are highly complex and unique to specific individuals. It is often difficult to pinpoint an exact learning style. Though there are different categories, we often fine tune them to our own abilities. By examining our traits and tendencies we create a clearer understanding of how we process and learn information. With careful review, I have developed a specific analysis of my learning characteristics, including an evaluation of skill levels. Based on what I have recently learned and know from experience, I have also devised a structured plan for improvement of time management and study skills.
This paper will identify which of the Kolb learning styles best suits me and why I think so. It will also give some examples from my past and present to support these findings. After determining, the learning styles that best fit me and completing an inventory exercise, I have concluded that I learn best using audio and visual techniques in the learning process. I agree with everything this exercise has brought to light. I never knew that these styles were the meaning by which I learned. I have also included examples as to how I see the use and benefits of these learning styles in my career.
Education has long been the center of reform with new ideas about learning and teaching. Educators are regularly introduced to new teaching strategies, curricula and rigorous standards in an effort to provide effective instruction to students. However, the pursuit of proficiency in mathematics and reading through the use of research-based methods requires an understanding of the learning models and theories that both drive instruction and learning in the classroom. In this paper I will address the evolution of ideas about learning and teaching in education as well as address the shifts in learning in the 21st century.
