VARK Learning Style Analysis

The VARK learning style is an acronym that simply stands for visual, aural, read/write, and kinesthetic sensory modalities that are used for learning information (The VARK Modailities). This method is actually one of the most frequently used tools to determine how an individual learns information. Helping students, adults or children, recognize what their weaknesses and strengths are when it comes to learning and retaining new information and how to learn more efficiently. It is also most effective for the educators to realize that each individual learns differently and by using VARK these educators are able to apply the best strategies into their students syllabus. Upon my completion of the VARK learning style quiz, my results indicated that I have a Multimodal learning preference. After reviewing what this truly means, my results signify that I learn best by typically having the same material presented to me in several different forms in order for me to grasp and learn the material. Whether it be hands on learning, listening to learn, visual learning, or learning by reading and writing; a combination of some or all depicts the best way I will learn and understand the matter. Since I do well with reading and writing as a learning tool, this theory would best describe my learning style. The way I process and store the information, using logic and reasoning, and visually processing the material (Sincero, S.). At the same time, I also have traits compared to the Constructivism theory; I have a questioning demeanor about myself and I wonder how things work, I use my past experiences to learn from, and I always look at things in my own perspective
