Extraneous Variables The research study will use a random sampling method to improve the control of extraneous variables and to reduce the potential for bias. Extraneous variables add error to an experiment and influence the outcome of an experiment due to external influences (Kaya, 2015). Therefore, one of the research goal is to decrease and control the influence of extraneous variables. The extraneous variable are Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners Cardiology-ARNPs and Physicians Cardiologist tiredness, employee motivation, and job satisfaction which could affect the outcome. Both ARNPs and Physicians will be using a standardizing method of interview to obtain information and review medical history information. The participants in this research have different levels of literacy, medical necessity, and socio-economic resources. Random sampling is powerful in greatly decrease systematic error; therefore; a random sampling method will be used for this research-study.

Eligible participants will be divided in two groups of 75 participants, which will be assigned as group A and B. A computer randomization program will generate Group A, which will be identified as patient currently on pharmacological intervention for cardiovascular diseases and Group B will be participant status post MI. A standardized one-on-one interview will be scheduled seven days after patient was discharged from the hospital. The potential research study participants must understand English fluently, pass initial interview, pass a psychiatric evaluation, and able to give a written informed consent. The computer will generate a report data, which will be analyzed by ARNP-cardiology leader as probability-based sampling; therefore, bias won’t be arising in sample
The setting in which this writer would start the study would be similar to the original case, by also conducting it at a state level in order to gather a big enough sample to secure and address the statistical power of the results. The setting essentially is going to target the California state's nurses that are licensed through to the

The sample is not a representative of the population. The number of different groups of nurses was not equal. Registered nurses had the biggest number and this made the research biased towards them (Kalisch & Lee, 2011, p. 86). To represent the entire population, the different
In an article published by Applied Nursing Research the authors point out that nurse staffing is related to patient outcomes, “lower levels of RN staffing are associated with higher rates of OPSN (Outcomes Potentially Sensitive to Nursing) in both medical and surgical patients treated in hospitals, U.S. Medicare, and other publically available administrative data” (Duffield et al., 2011, p. 245). The writer of this paper researched 5 relevant articles regarding the relationship between nurse to patient ratio, morbidity, and mortality, every article related similar information. “A systematic review of 102 studies concluded that increased RN staffing levels are associated with lower rates of morbidity and mortality” (Ball, Murrells, Rafferty, Morrow, & Griffiths, 2013, p. 2).
The target population would be men/women aged 18-60; and to be enrolled on the initial 3month block the patient will have to meet the following criteria;
The PC will randomly select 25 participants, aged 65 years and older, who are patients in a primary care setting, who have at least one chronic disease, are Haitian Creole speaking only, and who take more than five medications daily. Those patients will meet monthly and will bring their pill bottles for medication review. Two Haitian Creole speaking pharmacists will be recruited to participate in the program. They will gain access to the participants' electronic health records (EHR) for the duration of the program. During each visit, the pharmacists will inquire about participants' medication use including over the counter medications, reason for taking the medications, the duration of the treatment, the use of different providers, and participant's
The questions were compiled by a team comprising information studies faculty at the Nanyang Technological University and nursing representatives from the National University hospital. Making the questionnaire unbiased towards the researchers. Marczyk, et al. (2005) states that it is important for all research to not be biased towards the researchers.
This paper will address and evaluate the research problem itself, the design of the study, the sample, how the data is collected, its limitations, and its findings. Furthermore, how does this study impact the overall nursing process?
Purposive sampling was utilized to recruit 14 participants. A purposive sample is a non-representative subset of a larger population and is constructed to serve a very specific need or purpose. Research assistants distributed study flyers at hospitals and professional meetings throughout one Southeastern state. Criteria for inclusion included being an RN over the age of 50, working in direct patient care, and having a self-identified history of depression and/or musculoskeletal pain. Study participants included 13female and one male RN ranging in age from 50 to 65 years (mean of 57 years). Twelve of the RNs worked full time, two worked part time; eight worked the day shift, four worked the night shift, and two worked the evening shift. Thirteen of the participants were Caucasian and one was African American. Seven of the RNs worked in critical care settings, two worked in geriatric rehabilitation, and the others worked in newborn nursery, surgical,

Yes.A semi-structured interview was developed for data collecting of the research. Semi-structured interview is a paper-based interview guide which contain open-ended questions and the participant to follows (RWJF,2008). Moreover,Semi-structured interview provide rich, detailed information in the phenomenon study (Polit and Beck, 2012). In the study, the researcher has described in-depth interview to explore patients’ beliefs and experiences. Besides, a consent form was signed by participants before interview, a direct tell phone contact for arranging a time of interview. Further more, all the interview has been audiotaped, and the researcher did line by line analysis and coding the data to identify the key themes. The researcher interpreted to the participants who could not understand English during the
e. I did not recognize any potential bias introduced by the sampling method used. The researcher states the eligible requirements to participate in the study and the results reveal the significance of the use the patients and the effectiveness.
We began the interview and recorded all their answers through a recording device for a more profound analysis in a better environment. We used a semi-structured interview study for our research. We conducted this type of interview because we wanted the patient to feel comfortable in the interview. But aside from that, we also wanted to follow the protocol during the interviews to gather all the information we needed. Consent was obtained from all the participants.
This assignment will present a nursing care study of a patient on a cardiac ward. The patient will be referred to as Ann to maintain confidentiality (NMC, 2008). Ann’s consent was gained prior to starting this care study. The care study will be developed using the Nursing process and the Roper, Logan and Tierney model. These will both be outlined. The assignment will focus on the assessment process and one problem identified during the assessment and the nursing care which followed this.
A case history supplies the clinician with a exhaustive history on a client's medical or psychological situation. It provides benefits for psychologists; like launching point understanding the patients and their communication skills, it is filled out by the patients or caregivers. It is reviewed by the clinician prior to interviewing the patient. Beneficial in foreseeing those areas that will require assessment. And also case history informations can be used to detect those things that need further clarification in the course of the interview. It can help the clinician preselect those examination materials,tools and procedures before the session starts. On the other hand, there are limitations or disadvantages for the case history data. Firstly, respondent may not comprehend all the terminology, clinician must take into consideration the readability. There may be an inadequate amount of time to fill the whole form.It takes time to complete this out and get the required information like dates of disease,surgeries. The respondents may not remember or recall exactly. Case data history influences the correctness of the knowledge or information and not every respondent will have an equal amount of knowledge on the client’s background or communication skills. A important amount of time may pass between the onset of the trouble and the assessment. Respondents will probably be better
