In this article the authors present well researched information to prove their point that global warming could lead to a disruption of the connectedness within different populations of animals and could even cause a reorganization of species communities. The authors provide an ample amount of information about what global warming has already done to animals in order to support their predictions of what this means for the future. Despite having more than enough evidence to support that global warming is affecting animals, a majority of the paper is hypotheticals about what could happen for the future thus making it less credible. The authors do an exceptional job of using ethos and pathos throughout the piece. They use ethos when discussing
Last, many endangered animals are becoming more at risk because of the climate change. The habitats of several endangered animals have started to disappear, and their water has become scarce, too. Document B says that these animals include snow leopards, whose forest climate is shrinking, one-horned rhinos, whose vegetation is being diminished by regular droughts and floods, and orang-utans, who are being killed in forest fires in their forest homes. This killing of endangered animals is bringing these species closer to extinction all because of the rise in earth’s
How many declining wildlife habitats will it take until we grapple with global warming? The author of this passage surely agrees with above demand. He argues that the artic deer population declined as quickly as the weather changed. Though the underlying issue of the dying artic deer is directly correlated to global warming has merit, the passage does not deliver concise proof, supporting evidence and seems to assume his audience will agree.
There are always two sides to every story and every different point of view has a right to be heard. When it comes to the discussion of global warming—a gradual increase in the earth’s surface temperature—there are two very distinct and opposing points of view. The world seems to be split between global warming being caused by humans and it being a natural occurrence; the latter being the viewpoint that I strongly support due to the evidence I will present in detailin this paper. In contrast, I will also discuss, in Part II, the “anti-thesis” or the opposing viewpoint that humans are actually the
My other ideas about the topic describes that how the consumption of the fossils fuels degrades the environment. Climate change depletion of ozone layers increases the global warming. This is the major problems done by human activities which the environments face. This was the challenge points which was discussed with the audience
There are many opinions for and against the idea of climate change. With all the different opinions, it can be hard to know what is true and what is just fake news. It’s no wonder people get so confused on the issue. Two main arguments that I will be addressing in this report is whether or not the Earth is warming and if in fact the earth is warming it does it affect plant or animal life.
Climate change is a prominent issue around the world. Pollution, deforestation, emissions and carelessness of humans pose threats to the earth’s flora and fauna. Animals, plants, agriculture and ecosystems themselves are being harmed by the constantly rising temperatures. Earth’s wildlife is a key factor of survival, producing materials needed to make necessities, food, and recreation. Many countries are experiencing the negative impacts of climate change, including the United States. If temperatures continue to rise, much of the US’ wildlife will be diminished.
Climate change known as global warming has been steadily increasing over time. Global warming is a catch phrase of social confusion. Society feels uncomfortable with this notion. Is it real or fake? Little do people know that human progression and population growth adds to carbon emissions in the atmosphere. The term greenhouse gasses mean H2o or water, Co2 or carbon dioxide, and N20 known as nitrous oxide. In the book titled Global Climate Change, it breaks down what global warming is and relays information about carbon dioxide being the primary cause to the negative amounts of greenhouse gasses. “Carbon dioxide is the primary greenhouse
The current rate of at which the world is being affected by climate change; one may be convinced to believe that the earth will not be able to be inhabited by any other generation. The perfect clarification of these claims has been the reduction in the life span and the increase in the number of diseases that are actually attacking human beings all because of climatic change. The impact of climate change has been felt and this has had a negative impact on the lives of animals and human beings (Baker, Judy & World Bank., 3). There has been a huge debate on whether climatic change is responsible for the decline in the life expectancy among human beings as well as animals. This essay is based on the facts
Present generations are reaping what their forefathers had sowed for them; future generations will reap what present generations have been sowing whether they like it or not. Past, present and future generations are dependent on each other’s choices. Technologies are zooming rapidly. Humanities prefer to overwork natural resources and often fell into technologies’ competitive temptations. Generations are getting smarter and innovative each day. New products are constantly changing to catch customers’ attention, while current products are still young and are not even ready to mature yet. While many are embracing technologies, few are concerned with the scars that have been embedded on natural resources. It is so easy to fall into the
Global warming today is a scientific fact, and have been through controversial and emotional public discussion. Global warming research shows average climate temperatures have been increasing for the last century and an increase in weather temperature fluctuations, affecting the global biosphere environment. Local environments have also been affected by these changes, and many claim local biospheres could be led up to extinction especially in locations such as the polar caps. The argument suggests that global warming is responsible for the decrease in deer population in Canada’s artic regions.
The issue of global warming should be on the list of our top priorities. Studies show that the average of global temperatures have risen since the Industrial Revolution began. Since the Industrial Revolution, human emissions has quadrupled the frequency of certain heat extremes and many scientists have warned that a failure to bring greenhouse gases under control could eventually lead to a 62-fold increase in extreme heat blasts (Gillis Justin A17). Most of the increase is due to human activities, especially the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. These activities contribute to a build-up in carbon dioxide and other gases in Earth’s atmosphere. The Earth’s atmosphere is made of gases like nitrogen, carbon dioxide and oxygen. These gases act as a blanket that covers and gives us warmth, but once these gases such as carbon dioxide absorbs heat, but does not release it back into space in which causes the increase in global temperature. This is called the greenhouse effect because it only traps heat but does not release it.

Animals are essential to maintain the circle of life and the food chain. It is just not the animals, but insects, reptiles, and aquatic animals are all interdependent on each other, and even on plants and humans. The animals in our world today are suffering from an all around change in climate. For some species they can withstand these conditions, but for most of these they struggle to keep the living standards they had before. This is a major problem not only for animal species, but us as humans as well. It could stunt our food production and minimize our consumer goods. We must take action now to solve this problem because many animals are victims of global warming, there are many crucial effects on several groups of animal, and many species could be projected to die.
A new pentagon report mentioned that global warming is one of the urgent and growing threat to “national security”(Nakamura, 2015, para 1). Presidential contender/Senator/ Bernie Sanders also pointed out that “global warming, not terrorism or nuclear weapon proliferation or chinese hacking, is the biggest threat facing the country”(Follett, 2015, para 1). Global warming contribute to the death of 400,000 people a year and costing the world more than $1.2 trillion, which is about 1.6% of the annual global GDP (Harvey, 2012, para 4). Raising social awareness about the effect of global warming is the first step to avert the damaging consequences.Today, I would like to present to you what causes global warming, the effects of global warming on weather conditions as well as the economy, and the effects of global warming on biodiversity.
Owen BuggyLanguage ArtsClimate change, global warming, and their effects on our planetClimate change is a change in the pattern of weather and some related changes in oceans, land surfaces and ice sheets, occurring over a time scale of a few decades.Global warming on the other hand, refers to only the earth rising temperatures in the air and waters. There has been much debate on global warming. It is important to explore multiple reasons why climate change happens, what causes it, and how often it occurs. There will also be a discovery of how it affects the environment and what specific animals are impacted. Humans have had a much larger impact on the environment that any other creature in the history of the planet. Their presence along with naturalenvironmental factors are shaping our planet like never before. Global warming is having a serious effect on our world. It causes things such as melting glaciers and ice cap in our north and south poles. Ice caps are of the most visible and common victim because ice can change its chemical properties faster than most other land masses. It's has been affecting glaciers more rapidly since the early 1980's. In some places we have seen a 30-40% reduction in surface area and 50% reduction in volume due to just an increase of 2-degrees Celsius.
