What is your position and what are you required to accomplish? The position held is intern recruiter for KapConsulting, HR- Recruiting Team. The KapConsulting program provides interns the opportunity to gain experience. The chance to work as a HR recruiter provides interns the ability to apply what they have learned from previous coursework to the job. Week 4 is promotion week, new interns were asked to submit their promotion letters to their manager and director by Tuesday for upcoming open positions. HR recruiters are to update managers of any new interns who are dropping the program so that the phone tree and the department managers could be updated. The HR department meeting was cancelled for Sunday evening, however the mandatory AHOD meeting was held on Monday evening. The meetings are very informational and provides new interns information of KapConsulting, LLC from department heads. Interns are asked to check emails daily and have 24 hours to answer request. Today in the 21 century HR is the pipeline for every organization. However, when you think of HR you really done think about how import they are in an organization being able to reach their goals. In relation to Target, the HR department is continuously involved in helping the organization with their strategy and achieving goals. No as a Team Leader within Target I cannot emphasize enough how important the HR department is important. From helping with recruitment, employee retention, total rewards, performance management, while also taking into consideration employee law with ever decision or situation the HR department supports and give an organizations strategy the foundation for success.

This project will focus on Keller Army Community Hospital (KACH) personnel at West Point. The scope of this project is for the in-processing of new civilian employees and employee transfers from other DoD installations. In-processing starts with the employee’s initial visit to the KACH HR office and ends when the new employee is fully integrated, in-processed and available to work a full day.
In early April, Mr. Carl Robins hired 15 new personnel to work for Monica Carrolls, the Operations Supervisor. Carl scheduled a new employee orientation to take place on June 15th, hoping to have all the new employees starting work by the beginning of July
As Director of Human Resources my goals are to formalize the recruitment and selection process, establish policies regarding compensation, provide job analyses and determine descriptions for new jobs as the need arises. I anticipate that the challenge will be to lead the organization through a cultural shift away from its current recruitment and selection model and to successfully manage organizational change across a global workforce. Currently we are in the middle of a recruitment and selection campaign for two administrative assistants to support the Human Resources unit as we lead organizational change.

1. Bullman’s brewery was founded in the 1880s by the Bullman family and is based in the Toxteth area of Liverpool. The company owns two breweries, one in Toxteth and one in St Helens, together with 400 public houses and off-licences situated in Liverpool, Merseyside and Lancashire. The next step would be to implement a safety policy and to make sure that all employees are familiar with the new policy. Once the policy was in place informing people that safety would become a priority, I would then look into re-designing jobs so as to remove or reduce physical hazards where possible (Dessler, pg. 615). Then I would make the physical workplace as accident free as possible by probably slip-reducing floors, better lighting, and a system in place where spills could be quickly blocked-off (Dessler, pg. 615).
