A strength that I upheld within this domain was through collaborating interprofessionally to identify and address my clients learning needs. For example, while caring for a postoperative day one client, I was able to observe and work along side the physiotherapist to determine the level of activity required for the client too progress within their health and healing and move towards their goals for discharge. By observing this interaction, I gained insight into the limitations of my client if any, and what I could do as the nurse to help within the process of healing.
Another strength I portrayed was through utilizing an evolving and relevant knowledge base when facilitating an educational game for my peers during post conference.

As nurse educators, it is important for us to create an environment which will help students to learn effectively. In order to help learning effectively, the nurse educators must implement a variety of teaching strategies applicable to learner needs (NLN, 2005). I have worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for about two years. My naturally caring and compassionate nature has helped me to excel in this field. I find myself inherently invested in each of my resident’s lives, and I take deep pride in being an advocate for residents that no longer have a voice of their own. Being a CNA has taught me how to work as a part of a team, in partnership with my residents, fellow aides, nurses, family members, and physicians. Interdisciplinary teamwork is an important aspect of the PA role, and I believe my work as a CNA has strengthened my teamwork abilities immensely.
I have worked with many multidisciplinary teams and have seen the difference in care with team led by Nurse Practitioners. I was always looking for the role that will motivate me not only to advance in career professional ladder but also expand my role as a nurse in the promotion of health. The first experience of having a Nurse practitioner on one of my client’s care team in 2009 gave me the career path I was looking for. The experience gave me insight to the role and I was so moved with the positive change in care it brought. My client was 19 year old special needs teenager and will miss most of his medical appointments because of his health condition and he was too weak to leave house as well. It was so hard for me as his primary caregiver in community to collaborate with doctor’s office, specialist and other professionals to maintain care plan as they have not seen client on
I believe that through medicine I would be able to put other people’s needs before my own, and continue caring and making a difference in people’s lives. As a newly certified nurse aide (CNA), I have been able to begin this journey. As a CNA, I get to leave work knowing that I directly made an impact on someone else’s life. Not only has becoming a CNA changed my patient’s lives but it has also changed mine for the better. They give me the opportunity to constantly challenge myself, build relationships with them, and develop new skills. In the time that I have been a CNA I have had the opportunity to develop many different qualities including: adaptability, compassion, emotional stability, patience, and problem-solving skills. Each of these skills I find to be important qualities that every PA should

I have very strong beliefs about what is right and what is wrong. I’ve also been known to advocate strongly for patients. If I have a patient who I feel deserves more than they are receiving, I will speak up. I’ve run into this most frequently with pain management issues. In the ED there are problems, but it was poor pain management in the ICU that has had the most potential to compromise the recovery of the patient. I have on several occasions taken my concerns of the chain of command to accomplish what I need to for my patients.
Throughout my experience working as a Nursing assistant, I was able to identify my strength and

According to Dictionary.com, a strength is the quality or state of being strong, a mental power, force, or vigor; a weakness is the lack of strength, an inadequate quality. We all have and carry our own strengths and weaknesses of qualities. As I’ve learned in class this week, every nurse can be a leader. It was difficult to see the leader in myself until I took the Nurse Manager Skills Inventory by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. There are four areas I am going to discuss here about the Inventory: First is my personal and
