The Denial of Thousands of Murders: The holocaust vs The Rape of Nanjing
The small things can make a big difference in the world. The holocaust started out as a small thing against the Jews like making them wear yellow stars. It started with that and then Hitler turned it into a full scale war against the Jewish. The Jewish people were in the same situation as the Chinese people were they both tried to hide and run. The Rape of Nanjing were a mass murder of hundreds of thousands of people that had no involvement in the war. Also like the holocaust the Rape of Nanjing started with small fighting and as time progressed it turned into something bigger than it should have been. The Jews were put down and labeled as an aliens and they put signs

Hitler made it very clear that he hated Jews and making them wear yellow stars just kinda made them mad. Hitler tried to find reasons to hate Jews and he just made random stuff up and he was such a good speaker and people person that the nation of germany believed him and they started to hate the Jews too. Hitler hated the Jews and no one was going to stop him from trying to completely get rid of them. He blamed them for them losing world war one he said that instead of them joining the army and helping they stayed home and if they would have they would've had more manpower and would have won the war and they people believed him. He was also blaming them for the great depression he said that because they did not join and didn't help that they lost and had to pay and why the nation of germany was fighting the Jews were staying home and didn't help so when it came time to fight and rise they welted and he didn't like weak people. He also blamed them for usury and he believes this is taking advantage of Germany. Hitler is the type of person that can't stand losing so when they found a way to beat him he made sure they wouldn't have the chance to beat him again. The Japanese and Chinese just started out light and a little fight in one battle and it turned into a full scale war …show more content…
The Holocaust affect the Jews, Mentally/Physically Handicapped, and Dissenters. The Rape of Nanjing affected everyone in the city of Nanjing Visitors ,Chinese people ,kid ,parents ,and Grandparents (Walter2). The Perpetrators of the Holocaust were Hitler, SS/Gestapo, and Nazis. This SS and Gestapo were two elite groups of Nazi soldiers. The Gestapo was more of a spy. Their job was to find out where the Jews and find out who was keeping them and where they were hiding them and find out who was against the Jew party. The SS were every Jew's worst nightmare they were the brutal they didn't care. If they were supposed to kill you then you were dead and part of that was if they showed their brutality they got promotions. They gave their soldiers a drug called Methamphetamine. This drug made them where they got agitated easy and didn't require much food or sleep. The perpetrators of The Rape of Nanjing were the Japanese soldiers. At first the Chinese people were happy to see them because they didn't think the Japanese would go so low where they would rape the people and ruin their
The Holocaust was a period approximately in the same period of the Nazi Party’s power in Germany, and around the length of World War II. It began with just a simple persecution of a minority, but eventually in the later stages of the war it became something much more horrific and detestable. The Nazi Party sent Jews from all of Europe that it controlled into brutal death camps to be exterminated in one of the most bone-chillingly effective attempts at exterminating a people in all of human history. The dehumanized people in those camps died en masse, and the Jewish people are still recovering from the effects of this genocide. In the utterly grave situation during the Holocaust that people found themselves in, it is ironic that this was how
When Germany invaded Holland during the beginning of World War II, the Jews were the German soldiers and Adolf Hitler’s main targets. Jews were required to wear a yellow star on their shirt, and if they walked around town during the day, they risked being taken into captivity by the German soldiers. This, among other racism against
To start, when Hitler came into power, everyone loved him and he was like any average ruler until things started to change. Hitler led Germany into battle in World War II and mostly everyone was convinced that it was only a matter of time before they won the battle, but when this was not the case Hitler was outraged. From the article in historylearningsite.co.uk it illustrates what Hitler felt, ““stabbed in the back” by the Jews” (Trueman). This was most likely the result of feeling like he needed someone to put the blame on, someone to be displeased at. The Jews didn’t purposely make Germany surrender or have any part of having Germany lose the war, after all it was their country too. After this event, things started to go down hill for the Jews and what most people refer to as mankind's worst mistake. Secondly, Hitler started to use his power to exterminate or control the population of all Jews, thus abusing it and doing things that should not be done with his power. Since he thought Jews took everything away from him and Germany he started dehumanizing them and treated them as if worse than animals. The novel Night states that they were deprived of all of their jewels and precious belongings, having to wear a yellow star so everyone knew they were Jewish, living in the ghettos,
Labeling happens all over the world, labeling mostly happens in negative ways. Labeling was the number one reason for hate in the 1900’s. Labeling was the biggest reason for Hitler killing the Jews, the Salem Witch Trial, Joseph Stalin, and Slavery by labeling the blacks, and Isis wanting to kill everyone and take over. Labeling rarely happens in a good way it is mostly 90% negative.
The Holocaust victimize many Jewish people. These people had to suffer for so long, in harsh conditions with little food and water, before they were liberated, and many did not even make it to liberation
Finally, many purely hated Jews because they were not Aryan. Germany was one of these countries. Hitler, the leader of Germany, has carried hate for the Jews since early childhood. Primarily, he blamed them for his mother’s death along with him not getting into his dream school, Vienna Art College. Also, they were blamed by Germany for defeat in WWI and as the cause for unemployment. However, mainly Jews were persecuted because of the way they looked. At the time, Hitler wanted a racially pure Germany. He believed that by adapting the Darwin theory of survival of the fittest, he would be able to create a stronger generation and kill those that are impure or disabled.
Before WWII started Germany’s new dictator was starting a revolution. That only Adolf Hitler and his army knew about. The Nazis were what hitler’s army was called their job was to collect and kill as many Jewish people as they could. If anyone got in the way they were killed to. Hitler’s reasoning for killing all the jews he says they are the reason why they lost the first world war. How he killed all of these jews hitler and his nazis would force the jews to leave their houses and towns. Then he would get them all on a cattle car and take them to concentration camps. How hitler killed the jews were mostly gas chambers ,but he kept some few thousands to work or do certain things in these concentration camps. Some of those jews survived the holocaust to tell their story of what happened to them and their families.
The Holocaust was a disaster affecting many people's lives, mainly targeting Jewish people. They were also against Poles, Gypsies, Russians, The Disabled, Jehovah's Witnesses and Homosexuals. During the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered and many others were treated inhuman and killed. People who were affected by the Holocaust were discriminated, segregated and hated. This people were mistreated and their freedom was taking away, just by having different beliefs and have a different looks.
In conclusion, the Holocaust had detrimental effects on all that survived. This was because prisoners were treated as less than human and not given enough food. They also lost many of their loved ones, many of whom were executed. And to top it all off, they were abused by their captors on a regular basis. With these things happening, it’s no surprise that survivors of the Holocaust suffered terrible
When Hitler came into power he used his power to put jews people on the spot, he believed Jews were the one the to blame on why they lost the WWI. During pre-war times of WWII, Hitler targeted jews and his intention was to do everything that he could to ruin them. Jews were forced to wear the star of David on them at all time
Massively recognized and known writer Edgar Allan Poe had a very different background and life story than what most people have had. Through out a lot of his writings he has written, he portrays his life experiences and reflects a lot about how he was mentally. The experiences and situations that Poe was subjected to was by no means what anyone should go through, especially at the age Poe experienced his tragic experiences. Though he faced many obstacles, he did not give up his passion of writing, as most people that would have gone through the same experiences would give up on life and their life aspirations. Poe’s writings are a true exposure of the view of the world through the eyes and mind of someone who has been permanently damaged through life experiences.
The Holocaust not only affected the areas where it took place, it affected the entire world. Even though Jewish people were the main victims in the Holocaust, it also left lasting effects on other groups of people. Both the Nazi and Jewish decedents still feel the aftermath of one of the most horrific counts of genocide that the world has ever encountered. The cries of the victims in concentration camps still ring around the globe today, and they are not easily ignored. Although the Holocaust took place during World War Two, the effects that it had on the world are still prominent today.
The Holocaust was a repulsive time where many Jews suffered miserably from Hitler’s concentration camps and millions died. I researched this topic because I had learned about the Holocaust a little bit over the years, but I wanted to focus primarily on the United States and if Roosevelt helped the Jews who were suffering or if he only focused on the needs of his own country. Before I started my research, I knew a basic amount of information about the Holocaust itself and what Hitler had done to the Jews, but I knew nothing about what effect FDR had on the prosecution of Jews. I chose this topic mainly because I found it interesting to learn about and I knew I would enjoy reading about the Holocaust but another reason why I chose to research this topic is because I am Jewish. My great grandma had experienced the great depression and had lived during that heartbreaking time period. I wanted to learn more about my history and what it was like to be a Jew back in the 1930-1940’s. It is hard to imagine the hatred some people had for Jews and how awful they treated them. Learning about the Holocaust made me thankful for what I have because millions of survivors were scarred for the rest of their lives and experiencing the pain and torture European Jews underwent is unimaginable. Living in America, I wanted to know if we had helped. I wanted to know if our country cared about what was happening in Germany and if they put in a lot of effort to stop Hitler from his horrible actions.
Now lets look at the year 2020. Technology has improved drastically. Self-driving cars are no longer a thing of the future. They had been around for a few years and were now becoming more readily available. People had nearly anything they could ever desire at the touch of a screen. The internet was an enormous benefit to society for knowledge but also contributed to such horrendous downfall. Everything was touch screen. Food was not what it appeared to be. They often contained more chemicals than actual foods. Our bodies were eroding from the inside out. All of the chemicals that we had been ingesting over the last seventy years began to cause physical harm to our digestive systems. We had to be proscribed antibiotics
The Golden Age of the Qing, governed by the traditional relationship-based philosophy of Confucianism, spanned from 1644 to 1800, providing growth and stability for China. However, decline soon followed as leaders of the Qing refused modernization and Western ideas. It was in this time of corruption, conflict, and humiliation that Mao Zedong seized control with his radical ideas of communism, an ideology that sought a classless society. Intending to restore China’s wealth and power, he began his long journey to fulfill his new vision of China. Mao Zedong revamped China by promoting rights for the peasantry, supplying resources and attention for the peasant class, and implementing a reformed way of thinking while maintaining the traditional idea of a single leader with absolute power in his new society.
