As I was going through high school there were many teachers that were important to me, but there was one that stood out in my mind that truly influenced my life. Mr. Ron Edwards, my 9th grade American History teacher was the most influential teacher I have ever had throughout school. Mr. Edwards was very passionate about teaching and you could tell by the way he taught every single day. He talked loud so that you wouldn’t fall asleep in his class. It was very hard to fall asleep in his class because you never knew if he was going to pick on you that day to answer questions during his discussions. He always noticed how well I took notes and he let me know it throughout the trimester. I was the best note taker he had ever met. Knowing this fact
The best teacher I’ve ever had was my Honors English teacher, who was the strictest and harshest grader I’ve ever come across. With her as my teacher, I spent the majority of my sophomore year stressed out. What I didn’t realize, however, was that the only reason I was struggling, was because I refused to acknowledge that what she was doing was teaching. The teachers I had previously, never challenged me in the way that she did and, because of that, I could do the bare minimum and still pass. After I finished her class, I realized that she didn’t just set me up to pass her class, but set me up to excel in the future. She changed the way I looked at education, and made me acknowledge that having trouble in a class didn’t mean that I was incapable;
Throughout my high school career, a teacher that has had an impact on my life consists of Michael Sherwin. He is my Advanced Placement Government and Advanced Placement U.S. History teacher. Mr. Sherwin proves to be prominent in my high school career because his lectures in class are always enjoyable and very comprehensive. He is very knowledgeable on the subjects that he teaches and he is able to provide insight on countless topics. As his student, he is the reason that I have taken the initiative to partake in much more difficult classes throughout high school.
My teacher inspired me to go above and beyond my normal capabilities, and to reach out to others that were in distress. He inspired me to become a better leader, a better person, and a good role model for many kids in the classes below me. David Glasscock was his name, he is a generous man he invests in other to provide them with the tools necessary to be successful. Without his words of advice, I most likely wouldn´t be the same person that I am today.
During my life I have had several teachers with who I hold in high regard. Mr. Anthony Arico, Mr. Marty Berger, and Mrs. Edna Thomas to name a few. Even though all of the above named teachers had a very profound effect on my life; my all-time favorite teacher would be SSG Daniel Spencer retired. He was my ROTC instructor for approximately two years and has been a mentor throughout my adult life.
My high school art teacher, Jackie Tingle, inspired me to create and further my education in art. Through her constructive criticism and her wonderful teaching skills she easily allowed me to develop my own skills as an artist. In a world full of two-dimensional characters, I found it amazing that she was a successful artist. Before I met her, I did not know it was even remotely possible to have a career in art. To this day, I still have respect for her and how she carries herself. Even at times when students treated her disrespectfully she remained professional.
A high school teacher that has impacted my life is my 9th grade Geometry teacher, Mrs. Scully. Mrs. Scully has impacted my life from the very beginning. She has always been very caring and fun to be around. She is probably one of the most unique people in my life. She has always wanted me to do my best, and worked hard for me to understand the course. I was very troubled in mathematics, but the first time I received an 80 on a test in her class was the happiest moment for me. She is dedicated and she cares about you. She wants you to do good. I only had her for that year, but I still continue to see her. Sophomore and Junior year I would also use my tutoring time to be with her. I am now a senior class officer and she is our leader. She puts together senior activities and the officers help her. She influences me to be the very best person I can be. I see how she has these stylish cars and is overall happy with her life and committed to what she does. It’s inspiring and I can only wish to become as happy and successful as she is. She is a wonderful
For example, when I was a freshmen in Clear Lake High School. My favorite subject is math because I’m good at it and also math is interesting for me. My Algebra 1 teacher was Ms. Brodus. Her class rules was so strict. She always told students to put their cellphones away but, she was so enjoyable, delighted and pleasant talk to. Also, she always gave her plenty of time to every students. She was so organized about her every assignment. Whenever a student has trouble in any problem she helps them. She always teach each problems step by step so, the students can better understand. She always shows students two ways how
Everyone has had that one teacher who inspired them, and who made coming to school every day worthwhile. My teacher was my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Eardly. She went above and beyond to be a good teacher to me, went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of, and inspired me to be a better person.
Describe a teacher or course assignment that has had the most impact on you and why.
For middle school, I had one great teacher that I really enjoyed. It was during my last year in middle school and I had Mr. Weisend. I met him at food lion one day sophomore year and I was so happy to see him. I’d just like to say thank you too him for always making class interesting and always giving us free time at the end of class. He also let me be a teacher assistant and that was fun because after cleaning I got to play games. He even impacted my life through social media by encouraging me.
There are several teachers who have inspired me since I started school many years ago. If i had to decide on the one teacher who has made the greatest impact on my life, it would be Coach Mike Hammons. Coach Hammons teaches middle school World History at Flintville Elementary School. Coach Hammons has inspired me in many ways. When I’m in his classroom, he makes learning fun for me. He loves to be around us students. Finally he’s funny. Coach Hammons is probably an inspiration to not only me, but every student he teaches.
In my 12 years of being in school, I have had a lot of different experiences with many different teachers. Some good and some, unfortunately, bad. I have had many favorites and some teachers that I couldn't wait until I dint have their class again. One teacher that I am so Grateful to have had is my 7th grade geography teacher Mrs. Gribble. Mrs. Gribble inspired me to always go after what I wanted, do my best at all times, and live my life according to me.
During my eighth grade year in middle school I had one of the magnificent teachers ever, Mr. Gendron. He's was my Avid and a math teacher. He would also teach everyone what was right and wrong. Teaching everyone what they can do to succeed, asking if they needed someone to talk to, he was as a counselor to me. Whenever he would see someone changing their way to be he would know something was going on, it was as he had superpowers. He believed that we could work hard enough to succeed. He had hope on us whatsoever. Failing wasn't an option for us, he would try his best to make us understand the lesson. Making us learn each problem step-by-step. Many significant memories in my eighth grade year, but the special ones are with Mr.
Has someone ever made you feel welcome, taught you life lessons that would be helpful to your upcoming life, or someone that taught you something in a fun way so you actually liked learning? Someone like a teacher? A teacher is a person in our life who provides many important things including a good education. A teacher means a lot to his or her students. During the six hours a day during the 5 day a week can really impact a student's life. And I can only think of one teacher that really impacted my life- Mr. Miller.
The teacher that stands out most in my head is my eleventh grade English teacher. She had a liberal arts background, and enjoyed the classic American writers; Hemingway, Steinbeck, what have you. She was in the class of teachers who was more impressed by actions and honesty
