DBQ: Does the physical environment help or hurt human development? The physical environment hurts human development because things like climate, landforms, and winds can take a toll on a county’s development. Document number two supports my argument because it shows how Russia's climate takes a toll on the human development. Russia's extreme climate affects how long its citizens work, how the crops are grown, and how much power is used. These increased demands have a major impact on the Russian Federation. The Russian Federation takes extra lengths to make buildings and machinery that can withstand the cold winters. Instead of having money to further develop the country, Russia must work around the physical aspects like the weather. This
In my school, students tend to learn about puberty and the developmental changes that occur during the last quarter of sixth grade. However, what happens when these changes start occurring earlier than that? Well, I was one of those early bloomers. I got my period the summer before my sixth grade year and I had no idea what was happening and no clue what to do.
Environment: The place in which children grow up can as well affect their development. This is also caused by economics, because of the family on low income often having poorer access to housing and local facilities such as sports centres, libraries and parks. This will prevent them from practising skills such as riding
Providing a comfortable, safe and well supervised environment is important to meet the requirements of each individual child’s sleep and rest. Educators should ensure children are safe, healthy and secure in their sleeping or rest environment. Environmental factors can impact on the rest and sleep for children within an early childhood setting, these can include the noise level of the room, the darkness of the room, the temperature and the comfort of bedding or rest area. Educators should try to minimise noise level and provide a calm and relaxing feeling to the environment to help children get the sleep or rest needed, this can be done by playing soft music during sleep or rest times. Reducing stimulation will help children to sleep or rest,
There are factors that can influence cognitive, social and physical development. Everyone develops at a different pace. Tyra Beckett development was different and not easy. But she overcame her challenges and became the person she is today. Tyra Beckett is a native New Yorker, who moved to Virginia. She has faced many obstacles in her life such as not speaking until three, having a speech impediment, losing her father, being bullied and stressing in college. She plans on finding a career in Human service, helping the community and finding love. At a young age she was taught about spirituality. She attended bible studies, events and church every Sunday and holiday. Her spirituality has been a positive influence on her and her decisions. Spirituality and her development will continue to affect her decision into the rest of her life. Everything Tyra is today is because of her spirituality and belief in God.
2.1 DISCRIB WITH EXAMPLES THE KIND OF INFLUENCE THAT AFFECT CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLES DEVELOPMENT INCLUDING
A family will go through many challenging issues during the development of a child from toddler all the way until they reach adulthood. Starting during a child’s years as a toddler, they are exploring the world that they live as they learn how not only does the things around them work, but how their body works and the function of each part of their body as well. It is the environment of the child provided by the parents that help them undergo this process, and at times determines how and what the toddler grows up as they age.
Growth- Growth is one of the most aspects to the developmental process. It is responsible
natural development and this lack of development can cause a negative impact on certain situations
Research Task: A document giving examples, of the kinds of influences that affect children and young persons’ development including:
Children’s and young people’s development can be influenced by a lot of different factors such as family and friends, environmental issues such as where they live.
Both nature and nurture (genes and environment) influence children’s development. The quality of a child’s earliest environments and the availability of appropriate experiences at the right stages of development are crucial determinants of the way each child’s brain develops. A large number of studies conducted during the past three decades have shown that children with divorced parents have an elevated risk of a variety of problems, including conduct disorders, emotional disturbances, difficulties with social relationships and academic failure (Amato 2000). The issues that raising children in single parent household affects their development have played a significant part in our society. Society tends to compare those children development to the relationships parents have with each other. The significance of children raised in single parent home happens is that it is indicated that they do worse than children in two parents household. They demonstrate poor behavior, difficulty in school, and have more outlooks in school.
From a total of 1,132 sources that presented themselves, at first glance only 11 seemed to be a perfect match for the research efforts at hand. Many of the sources were excluded rather quickly when the source did not meet the inclusion criteria. All references that met the inclusion criteria where then again filtered to insure the information embedded in the sources where an exact match leading to information about connecting children to the outdoors.
Russia, officially known as the Russian Federation, has a total area of 17,098,242 sq km (“The World Factbook”) and is the largest country in the world. It is about 1.8 times the size of the United States (“The World Factbook”). Most of Russia is either large stretches of plains or areas with a lot of forests and mountains, with the exception of the Siberian Tundra. It is difficult to perfectly describe Russia’s climate because of it’s large size. However, in general, the country only has two seasons, summer and winter. In the summer they have very warm, continental weather and they have very harsh winters with a lot of snow. Russia is plentiful in natural resources. They are particularly
The current development levels of a region can be affected by many variables including the physical features of that region. Physical features can provide with trade routes, natural resources, and can become a tourist attraction. These are all ways that the government could make money that they could invest on better education, roads, etc., therefore allowing the country to be classified under a higher development level than if they didn't have the resources to get the money. Some physical features are also a burden on a country's development levels, rivers can allow trans-boundary pollution which causes the tension between countries since one country is negatively affecting the others useable
Studies have shown the impact a person’s environment can have on their upbringing, their attitude, their personality, and how they adapt or handle tough situations. No truer words are apparent with adolescents and how their environments can lead to substance abuse. For many adolescents, risk factors, such as family problems and community violence frequently lead to substance abuse (McWhirter et al., 2013). Society is very good at encouraging people just to do about anything. Though they may not go right out and say, “Go do this, or do that”, they sugarcoat it through subliminal messages, also known as commercials, television programs, movies, and advertisements. During a stage where adolescents are vulnerable and easily influenced, it is not too farfetched to think they will practice what they see. Companies that advertise alcoholic products make them seem glamorous and make the experience seem exciting. It is simpler to say that each person makes their own decisions, which affirms the first amendment of “freedom of choice”; however, it is necessary to recognize that at some point it becomes difficult to avoid all these possible addictions when they are plastered at every corner.
