Teachers make a big difference in students lives everyday, especially middle school math teachers! Math has always been my favorite subject since about kindergarten! It fascinates me in all kinds of ways. After thinking about this, I have decided I would someday like to become a middle school math teacher. At my school, my teachers are like my second mothers. They always take care of me if I need something and they always want me to do my best! My favorite teacher and role model has always been my K-4 teacher from DEA, Ms. Carol Jonson. Ms. Carol always made me laugh and smile when I needed to, and if i got upset when my mom dropped me off at school she would be the one to take care of me. She also always told me that she believed in me no
When I was 5 I went to Eisenhower elementary my teacher in kindergarten was Mrs. Herbst. All of my teachers were just ok but then in fourth grade I had an awesome teacher named Mrs. dune she gave us an extra recess and just gave us candy if we were good. She had us play with computers if we got are work done.
1. What makes a good role model and how can I ensure that I act as a role model for employees I supervise?
During my life I have had several teachers with who I hold in high regard. Mr. Anthony Arico, Mr. Marty Berger, and Mrs. Edna Thomas to name a few. Even though all of the above named teachers had a very profound effect on my life; my all-time favorite teacher would be SSG Daniel Spencer retired. He was my ROTC instructor for approximately two years and has been a mentor throughout my adult life.
One of the influential people that made a huge impact in my life is my college professor who told me to never settle for less. She encouraged me to push the envelope and attempt to do things that are out-of-the-box. Her credentials and accomplishment in teaching is, for lack of a better word, overwhelming. She is strict, but fair. She saw my potential in teaching and told me that being a great teacher requires 4C's and 1P: competence, compassion, character, commitment, and passion. These are the things that remember by heart. Every time someone asks me who is my role model in teaching, I would always tell them that Mrs. Edith L. Ortega is the person I look up to up to this time. Even though she is nearing retirement, she still managed to keep
Of course, my parents were also my role models but there was a difference between my parents and my teachers. Being a daughter of immigrant parents had its obstacles. For example, when it came to completing my assignments I struggled because of my parent’s low proficiency in the English language. I was not receiving the assistance and support that I should have been of receiving. Having a positive and strong relationship with my teachers facilitated my decision to seek for the assistance I needed. My teachers never looked down on me or embarrassed me because I could not grasp the material at the same pace as the other students. They understood my situation and offered my family and I the assistance we needed to best aid in my success in accomplishing my work and contributing to the learning environment of the classroom. I was never given any kind of privilege or special treatment. I always worked diligently to thrive in my courses. Without that strong and positive relationship with my teachers I would have never found the motivation and inspiration to continue with my education through grade school and attend a four-year institution.
My second grade teacher Mrs. Balzer was one of my favorite teachers through elementary school. Everyday after school while I was in her class waiting on the bus she would say "Dillon would you like a cheese stick?" Though cheese sticks was not my favorite snack and I didn't want to sound rude so i would say "yes ma'am." Learning was starting to change through grades there were more books, more homework and more classes. Another favorite teacher of mine was Mr. Britton. He was always there helping me struggling on an assignment, and always asked me to go run papers to them office for him or go make
My role model would be Ethen Polson because he wasn’t that type of guy that was always talking to other teacher and not giving any of the kids’ attention, he was always watching for kids that needed help. I would love to be like that. Ethen was always looking for ways to improve his tumbling abilities. He still is, he did a backflip every day for a year and he completed it. I think he is doing it again this yar. Ethen is my role model because he was always watching for people in need, he always looked for ways to improve, and he was kind to all of his
As a kid growing up playing baseball I’ve always had the dream of becoming a MLB player. As I grew older I began to realize becoming a MLB player is too tedious. So I knew I had to have a plan b. Commingly for most teens, I determined my career path half way through high school. Math has always been my favorite subject in school, so at the end of my sophomore I figured that I can become a math teacher. My influences to become a math teacher were: realizing I am very clever in math, helping my peers understand the math lessons their teacher couldn’t clarify to them, and having the patience, support and potential to do what it takes.
In 6th grade Mr. Strupp was always kind and a bit sarcastic, but in a friendly way. Mr. Fosse was funny and taught me math and science. Laura taught me how to play and do certain sports. In 7th grade Mr. Leister teaches me history, and I get to hear his interesting stories all the time. Ms. Duncan lays the hammer down, and strictly grades, which always encourages me to do my best. Ryan teaches me science (with a little help from Tim and Moby). Lastly Mimi, is a fun, but clumsy math teacher. All of them have been superb, and helped me through my two long years of Middle School.
Becoming a middle school teacher changed how I felt about what kind of teacher I want to be. When I graduated from college in 2009, I was sure that I wanted to be a 4th or 5th grade teacher. I had student taught in 5th grade, and I really enjoyed it. I immediately began applying for elementary teaching positions. Thankfully, a position opened up in the district I lived in, student taught in, and where my children attended school. I was so excited because a position was open in 5th grade! I could work with the teacher I student taught with, in the grade I student taught in.
Teachers have the power to change the world and to make a difference in the student's life. Teacher is a facilitator of knowledge, motivator, advisor and a positive person that can improve the student's education. I decided to pursue the career of education because I have the desire to help others. I also have the ambition to provide encouragement and support to the people that need it. Becoming a teacher means more than sharing my knowledge to the students. It is a commitment with society to shape the performance and learning of future generations.
She would help to bring out each student's creativity and imagination. She would pick up on the student's talents and or interests and help to develop them. She saw in me the interest and ability to write, so she gave me some "junk" mail with pictures of animals on it and told me to try to write a story about it. After I had turned it in, she entered it in the school district's writing contest along with a few other students' writings without our knowledge. It was a surprise to me when she told me that my story had been published in the school district's book of students' stories and poems. I will never forget my fourth grade teacher, she was one of the best examples of a great teacher I have ever
When you’re a little kid most of the time your first role models are a doctor, firefighter, or a teacher. Most kids look up to them because they save lives. When kids think of doctors, they think of someone helping their ailments. They look at firefighters as a positive role model because they save people out of fires. They see them as role models because they are helping someone while putting their life at risk. Kids most of the time think that teachers are role models because they see them in the class room helping them. The teacher’s best intentions are for the kids to get better and grow. That’s why some kids look up to teachers. These are some of the common role models for kids. There are so many different role models. Its honestly up to the person to look up to them. Every man for himself. Everyone has their own opinion. Your role model is the person in your opinion you look up to. No one else can tell you who and what you can look up to.

My favorite teacher is my Family Home Consumer Science Teacher and Parenting Skills Teacher is Mrs. Asia Holley she is the best teacher. She is happily married, and though she has no children, she is the closet a student will get to a mother figure at school. She has a way with words and is so comforting that students, and at times faculty members, cannot help but to come and confide in her. She is a very spiritual woman which makes sense since her husband is a pastor. She has the potential to make any subject that seems extremely boring to some, very appealing to all through her enthusiasm and dedication to helping her students. Going to her class was something everyone was eager to do and not dreadful like I would do most of my other classes. Such as, me not being in a good mood just because i know my other classes were not as interesting as Mrs. Asia Holley’s class.
