Nowadays, computers are emerging rapidly than never before in human history. Everywhere you go, either stores, malls or even your homes is filled with all kinds of electronics. We have come to a stage whereby everything we do or placed our hands on must be computers. We don’t even need to ask our parents questions anymore, all our answers or solutions including problems are all in the internet. According to Theodore Roszak in “Shakespeare Never Lost a Manuscript to a Computer Crash,” argues that “the computer contributes nothing essential to the life of the mind.” I strongly agree! We are created to use our minds to solve problems and think critically. Although computer usage might be a benefit to the majority of the new generation, the fact is that computers can do harm to the society such as lack of memory and isolation.

Success comes in many shapes and sizes. My parents have helped me achieve this success with their motivation, nurture and emotional support. Secondly, their endless efforts. They have been extremely involved by visiting my campus, interacting with my instructors, and taking part of my personal interests which has helped me with my transition from high school to post-secondary.

There are many individuals in my life who have influenced me to be great and further my education after high school. High school is a stressful, yet fun experience that allows you to reach great potentials. As a student I have always needed a push and a little motivation to get me through the school years. The influential person to me is someone I know I can always depend on. This individual wakes me up every morning with a beautiful smile and a kiss to my cheek. Motivating me to be the best I can be, this person is greatly appreciated and will always be influential to me.

The internet is the easier way for people to communicate with each other. It has made the world smaller by bringing people together everywhere and any time. This invention has important tools for people to contact and it has changed their way of communication in today busy world. In fact people are becoming totally dependent on the internet as a way of communication in their daily life, business and work. The limitation of old communication tools has made the use of internet for communication is wider all over the world .

The modern day society is the result of countless processes of change and evolution, among the more notable of them being the evolution of Information Technology. Today, technology impacts all aspects of the life of humanity, from the trivial chores, to the complex and intricate endeavors. But this state of affairs could not have been possible had it not been for the creation and strong development of the Personal Computer.

My preferred major is computer science. Computer science is the act of coding and other operations dealing with computer software. Computer science also deals with knowing all or most languages of code such as Java, Python, or Linux. Along my path to deciding that I wanted to major in computer science, I faced many obstacles and was a part of many experiences that pushed me towards this field. Some events would be as simple as my family designating me the honorary “Tech Guy” or my friends coming to me for advice on their computers. Those things are what sparked my interest. Then came my first coding class. It was one of the most difficult things I have ever done and it was so immense. So many commands and combinations and it just didn’t seem to make sense. But then I realized, it was made by someone. People have a knack for creating patterns. It is how the human brain works, we take all the large amount of data that is thrown at our brains and then we make shortcuts like seeing patterns. So that’s what humans did to the machines. We gave them the same mindset. So I started noticing shortcuts in the data and patterns and soon everything started to click.

Playing games on my father's computer as a child fascinated me in the way the computer works, how fast it develops, and now how the computer helps the world to communicate. It still amazes me in how fast computers change and how communication across the globe is enhanced with the computer. Computers have drastically changed how society lives and does business. Even small businesses can do global sales without leaving their location. With new strategies for business, comes cyber threats of identity theft and theft of intellectual property that brings information technology security and new laws into play. It is becoming a fast and ever challenging world. Computer science enables the ability to program software for protection against these kinds of threats and vulnerabilities. It also enables the ability to program artificial intelligence into the computer system software to enable society to meet their needs in more appropriate ways.

Computer is one of the most important electronic devices currently used; it cannot be dispensed with in any field of life, whether scientific or practical. It has caused a major change in the life of the individual because it has entered all areas of daily life. Technology has become a prerequisite for progress and development. The computer is commonly used in every field and has made our day very easy. It has made a vital impact on the individual. People are using computers to perform different tasks quickly and easily, also it saves time and effort and reduces the cost to complete a particular task. Computer has changed the way of life for each person in many ways.

Culture in the modern age is characterized by more complexity than ever before; particularly after the mass use of the Internet. Each particular ethnicity and culture must adapt into the culture as a hole, yet the way the Internet has changed the way humans act with each other has no precedent in history not even the telephone changed culture this dramatically (Storey, 2009). Less than two decades ago, primarily academics and scientists used the Internet. Today, it is a major contributor to increased global communication, data access, research, personal communication, social networking, and recreation. As Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft commented, "The main advantage of any new technology is that it amplifies human potential," clearly the Internet falls into that category (Gates, 2000).

Some are better for gaming, some are better for work, but they all have one thing in common. They all use the internet. The internet is a global communication network that allows all computers to exchange information. The internet has social benefits, it helps us in the classroom, it enhances our creativity, and it also has long term effects on our brain that actually help us. Of course, there are cons about the internet, but the bad parts are controllable. The internet changes the way we think for the better, and connects us to people all around the world.

Both mom and dad studied higher education, so I was raised with the idea of getting a higher education as well. My parents are a crucial part of my life and they taught me values that I will keep in my heart and essence forever. Besides them, there were many other persons who influenced my life in a positive way too.
