She has been all over the U.S., from California to Texas, and all down the East Coast. She has also travel to India two times during her life time. One of her favorite places to go in Indiana is where her cousins live. This year her and her family are taking a trip around Europe and to India and Immaculin is ecstatic.
Immaculine really enjoys volunteering at events that she attended as child. Every year she enjoys helping with her church VBS camp. She also volunteers at a fair help by Appleglen Elementary. She says “I grew up going to applefest, watching the teenage people, and saying I can’t wait to be one of you guys one day, and now I am.”
Immaculin Joe also, really enjoys heights and danger. From her appearance you would not expect that. She loves to be the first to go on rides, or experience scary or daring things. The adrenaline rush is so worth it to her. It gives that edge that she is always looking for. Immaculin describe her passion for danger, “I really like height, like I really like danger. It’s like a problem actually, I like getting in trouble just to feel that feeling. Just for a split second though, then I’m like no this is
The Easter egg hunt was designed for children in the church community. Another event I volunteered in was making prayer blankets for the homeless. A prayer blanket is two pieces of fabric connected by knots, and with every knot tied, a prayer is said for the person the blanket is going to. I also participated in volunteering for the vet. Similarly, my family was a member of the Missouri House Rabbit Society and fostered a total of eight bunnies. We eventually adopted two bunnies named Shannon and Clover. I love to make a difference in my community, even if it was a small deed.
Biology 102 introduces students to the concept of evolution, the principles of evolution, natural selection, and major kingdoms of living things organisms. My major is nursing and taking this course is a prerequisite and is required for my major. Taking Biology courses will help me be better knowledgeable in my chosen field. I took biology 101 last semester and we learned about cell and organisms. These are fundamentals things that someone who plans to have a career in the healthcare field needs to know. Also these courses are prerequisites for other science courses I have to take such as microbiology, human anatomy and physiology. As a future nurse these are information that will come in handy everyday. I have three years left in my undergraduate study and more

Since I was five years old I would always give my community a help hand, whether in beautifying my community by planting flowers, or by volunteering at local places. From the ages from five to ten my after school program would go around the neighborhood to plant flowers. In my town library I donated my time to help the children with hands-on activities to promote original ideas such as creating objects with everyday items. I have also volunteered a total of 36 hours for the American Cancer Society.
Additionally, every Monday, I volunteer at the Dublin Food Pantry and assist people with their groceries, and every Thursday, I volunteer at Glenwood Alzheimer's Care Center and assist with the residents by talking to them and playing games with them. Volunteering makes me a happier individual as I get to see the positive impact on
The hardest part of having a passion is sticking to it even during hardships. Julia Silverman has been gifted at basketball since she was six years old, but it was not always easy. Since she plays on two teams, she is always busy with practice. Hardworking and dedicated, she practices ten hours a week at Pine Crest and three hours a week at Boca Hoops. Michael Jordan, a famous athlete inspired her to play basketball because of his talent. Acquiring very advanced skills for her age, Silverman is put onto higher levels at Boca hoops. She also made the A team at Pine Crest every year in middle school. This girl definitely knows what pressure feels like and can handle herself on the court. Two years ago, Silverman’s team was in the championship
While I may not have completed much community service, I act out of genuine passion and self-interest rather than anything else. I see little reason to volunteer for a group or cause I have no interest in. However, I do enjoy helping others in subjects I quite enjoy like computer science and programming. The Harrington Park School STEM Camp gave me an opportunity to teach elementary school children about programming, an opportunity I would take again and will take again this winter. Tutoring volunteer work under the

Since the summer of eighth grade I have volunteered at Essentia Health Hospital making tie blankets for inpatients. These patients are able to take the blankets home with them when they are well enough to leave the hospital. Moreover, I volunteer at my local church for a once-a-month food share. I help unload the food from the truck, sort out the rotten produce, and distribute the food among the shareholders. Additionally, I clean up highways and trails as a part of Green Club ,and I partake in numerous other volunteer opportunities within my school
