Mendez Arturo Bringing all our necessary gear to academy grounds is extremely important. It is important for several reasons. For example, it demonstrates our commitment to our career. Having all our gear ready to go means that we as recruits are ready and prepared to complete any tasks that might involve the use of those particular items. Furthermore, it shows that we are capable of following rules and that we pay attention to detail. When we do not have our gear with us it prevents us as a class from moving forward with our training. For example, Drill Instructors have to take the time to address the fact that we do not have the proper gear that is needed for the day. If things where done properly the first time, more time could be focused
This assignment is based on a year 6 pupil’s work, which is developing and the genre that is focused on is, discussion. The discussion bases around whether or not uniforms should be worn in school. Looking at the generic text structure, this piece of writing includes some areas, such as, a statement of what the discussion is based on and an introduction point of what the argument is about. There is also some strong evidence on why you should wear uniform in school in depth in each paragraph. However, again looking at the generic text structure, there is no evidence on why you should not have to wear school uniforms, for this reason the discussion is not very balanced. The child has included a conclusion but has not summarised the full text
When i was in eighth grade, teachers and students from my current high school came to visit my middle school to talk to me about the Anteater Academy. What this academy does is,it helps students prepare themselves to go to a four year university. They do this by having students challenge themselves by taking difficult honor and AP courses starting freshman year. I guess you can say that ever since i was in middle school i knew i wanted to go to college. Being in the academy for about 4 years now has been a challenging journey but, has made my pathway to college easier. This academy taught me how to be responsible, dedicated and confident. There was times where i felt the pressure of having so many AP classes in my schedule but i was surrounded
Generally everyday once practice is complete I would pick up any remaining equipment that is left on the field that may include, cones, footballs, and pylons. After listening to the team end of practice meeting, I run back over to the locker room make sure the locker room is unlocked and that the dirty laundry bin is available for the players to put their practice clothes in for the ones that need to be washed. Next, I wait until everyone is off the practice field and go back over to lock the practice field in order to help keep trespassers off the field. After each player is done changing they then come into the coaches’ office to receive a snack before heading home, I lay the snacks out for the players, while I go back into the locker room
I will prove that every school should have school uniforms.first off, school uniforms help improve focus.also, the grade point average of most students.lastly, helps stops bullying. Why my debate matters.
Student would not have to take a lot of time in the morning to get ready. When you wear a uniform, you wear the same thing everyday. Why spend a lot of time at home trying to find clothes, and just have a uniform ready for you. When you have a uniform you can sleep in the morning. You could just have to get up and put you uniform on and then go to school.
Then getting all my initial issue of clothing. The next stop was for immunizations, an eye test, and getting my military ID card. After all the standing in line to wait for my turn to go ahead to the next station. I was given a list of items to buy at the local Post Exchange (PX). Later that day, I had informal classes and instructions on how to march and make my bunk. After that I conducted a “shakedown”, with all the gear that I received we got lined up to make sure we received everything needed for the next eight weeks. The drill sergeant started to call items off of his list. As the drill sergeant called items off, I began to place each item in my duffel bag. At this point, I packed up my civilian bag with my civilian clothes and placed it into a pile with everyone else’s. These items would never be seen again until eight weeks later at graduation
Is it true that school uniforms improve behavior, grades, and help keep students safe? In 1969 U.S. Supreme Court case Tinker vs. Des Moines Independent Community School District, the Court stated that the First Amendment applies to students, but school staff has the ability to stop students from disrupting children’s education or going against the dress code. They are an appropriate way to control unacceptable behavior. Uniforms in schools enhance student’s school
Do school dress codes come off as too strict? Some schools have a twenty-one-page rulebook on prom alone. Crazy, right? Who decides what belongs in a dress code and what does not? Should the students have a say on their school’s dress code? Student do not have a say in their school’s dress, so high school dress codes feel too restricting to the students.
Each year, high schools across America send students out into the world without the skills they need to succeed. Admittedly, students learn the required academics to move onto the next level, but the basic skills required in life are being put aside and forgotten. Today, high achieving seniors will graduate understanding how to find the definite integral of a function and preform electrophoresis, but they will not know everyday skills including how to file their taxes or changing the oil in their car. In order to succeed in the real world, high schools need to equip students with tools for everyday life.
Many schools today seem to be making the switch from no dress code to a dress code or uniform. Dress codes and uniforms continue being implemented in schools and with this comes many benefits, such as less violence, students focusing more on academics, bringing success and positive results to students and teachers, and affordability of school uniforms. Having had a school uniform for most of my academic career, I definitely see the many benefits that come with having a uniform and seeing that the topic of school uniforms is something that is often highlighted in the news and is something that is constantly changing, I believe that this is a topic that needs to be discussed. School uniforms are beneficial for students, parents, and the
Is that you happy about letting your child going to school with a home dress? In many countries of the world, they understand the importance of using uniform in the middle school. It’s very traditional, it has more significant in our school. Uniform brink a lot of achievement, can change our behavior. Bring more focusing in our personal life. The word itself means unit. It takes out the difference; make you feel same with other no matter what class you are. It can solve a lot of thing that we can’t solve. Uniform bring discipline. School is where we teach to be the future responsible; school is where we teach to be the leader. But we need to be transformed mentality and physically. For example you can be well mentality but if you are not well physically can stop many conceptions. Today we are looking how to eliminate gang violence, to stop little young man of smoking weed, how to stop bad dressing. In just these little simple gests we can solve all this. In my opinion, letting student in the middle school going to school with a home dressing is not a good idea. Uniform has a real impact in student achievement. I think it may move a lot of bad behavior in the student; it will help our nation with a lot of progress. I think practicing that stuff in our middle school would solve many things. Will brink discipline in the young student, will bring achievement in the student, would decrease criminality in our society, will help the
At first glance, the only winners in the topic of school uniform policy are the uniform companies and the retail establishments that sell them. The idea of mandatory uniform requirements is repugnant and unpalatable to many Americans. It stifles students’ freedom and forces conformity on our most impressionable citizens, children. However, violence in our schools was the impetus for uniform policy adoption. It gained momentum following a sharp spike in the number of violent incidents in schools over designer sunglasses, sneakers and jackets in the latter half of the 1980’s. Because of public outcry and response at the
In the past, school uniforms have been a requirement for private schools only, however; the number of public schools mandating uniforms is growing quickly. Many public schools endorsed school uniforms after then-President Bill Clinton sustained uniforms in his 1996 State of the Union address: “I challenge all our schools to teach character education, to teach good values and good citizenship. And if it means that teenagers will stop killing each other over designer jackets, then our public schools should be able to require their students to wear school uniforms.” In statistics it shows,” since 1999 the percentage of all U.S. public schools enforcing dress codes increased by 11.1% by 2014” School uniforms have been a rising major debate for years. Most schools say that by wearing uniforms it will make the school more united, but the only thing they do is bother students, and make parent’s spend a lot of money. School uniforms limits students individuality and they don’t improve a student’s behavior. Therefore, school uniforms should be banned.
Safety is the number one concern for any teacher, principal, or administrator. A school is supposed to be a safe zone for students that do not feel safe in other places but, as most people agree, the schools are not so safe after all. Just in these past few years, America had many school shootings and some of these shooting could have been prevented if the intruders were easy to spot. Requiring all the students to wear the same outfit makes someone wearing average clothes extremely easy to spot because they are not wearing what the other people in the building are wearing. Spotting these intruders earlier could prevent the incident or make it easy for administrators to start their evacuation or lockdown plan which could save the lives of the students. School uniforms can also help with confrontations and the overall behavior of students, for example, The first public school that adopted school uniforms has reported a “51 percent drop in physical fights, a
Kiranjot Randhawa, Brampton, ON- Students of all high school’s have protested on the Ontario school’s dress code, starting the first week of November 2017.
