How to Help Your Toddler Gain Weight Healthily

Keeping your toddler in his/her proper weight is important. A healthy weight keeps him away from unwanted diseases. Moreover, it gives them enough calories to grow and develop immediately. Underweight is a term used to indicate that your child’s weight is below normal. To check if the child is underweight, you can use growth charts. Fruit juices and milk drinks can add extra calories in the diet. Try offering these drinks before mealtime and not after. This is to discourage the child from filling up on fluids before eating more nutrient dense foods.

Though fruits and vegetables are low-calorie foods, it is encouraged to let the child eat some to improve their health. Eating fruits and vegetables can help clear out unwanted wastes in the body and can also contribute to boost the child’s immunity.
