Management Analysts A small company is looking to improve efficiency of inventory control while a larger company needs to know how many employees are necessary to operate a new or growing department. They utilize Management Analysts also sometimes referred to as a Management Consultant to deal with their new problems. Management Analysts work with a company’s management to conduct studies, and evaluations, to design systems and update procedures to improve their efficiency. Currently the job outlook of a Management Analyst is projected to grow 19 percent within the next 10 years and is expected to grow as companies continue to seek ways to improve efficiency and control costs. There are many cases in which a person jumps into a career that they end up detesting because they did not look into the specifics of the job. Personality assessments, research in major, and an informational interview have guided me to make the decision to pursue a career as a Management Analyst.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment profile revealed my personality type was ESTP (Extroversion, Sensing, Thinking, Judging). A possible career match was Management Consultant due to the fact that I notice and remember important facts and details about people and places. This makes me capable of making accurate and efficient assessments of a current situation.
