King of Hearts will be held this year on Feb. 14 in the Jones Auditorium. There are 10 male candidates competing for this year’s title. Since the event will be held on Valentine's day, Dalton Lane, a senior public relations major and events officer for The Students' Union, said the night will follow a Valentine's theme. “Since it is on Valentine’s Day we are really taking that and running with it,” Lane said. “We are making Valentine's cards for each of the guys so they can hand them out across campus with their faces on them, complete with cheesy pickup lines.” Starting Feb. 1, The Students’ Union will be releasing promotional videos for King of Hearts, Lane said. “There are just a lot of random, funny videos coming out,” Lane said, and students should be watching for them to show up on social media. He said they will also release eight second profile videos of the candies, similar to the ones made for Miss Hard Work U. …show more content…
“We have three hosts. Jacob Russel, Toria Harrington, and Brittany Weaver,” Lane said. “We are excited to see the chemistry that they have on stage, which will be fun.” Lane said those attending King of Hearts this year can expect a night of entertainment from beginning to end. “(For the) secret finale this year, we have tried to go with a comedic kind of twist. It will be good,” Lane said. “It will be worth coming out.” Mickey Pitman, director of student activities, said the event will be one students won’t want to miss. “It is going to be one of the funniest things we do all year,” Pitman said. “It’s a good time and it’s a cheap date for Valentine's day. Everyone is broke

Beethoven’s 5 secrets was quite a bit different from the first two videos I watched. It didn’t seem as fun as the first two. However, it was still a great video with wonderful music. The editing was still very good, and the scenery they used was beautiful. There Taylor Swift Begin Again video was similar to Beethoven’s 5 secrets. It focused more on the music than the editing, but the transitions
