Through interviewing Joyce I gained insight into a strong philosophy, leadership style, and how her background experiences have created the director she is today. When deciding to become a director of a daycare, there are two options: opening and owning your own center or directing an established or corporate owned daycare. While I have done much research on owning my own daycare, I have little experience about what it would be like to be the director of an established center. Financial responsibilities and budgeting are also two aspects that are important, but the level of responsibility is drastically different in each scenario. Lastly, legal and ethical responsibilities exist in either scenario as well.
At Children’s Discovery Center the daycare is split into two buildings, one building is for the children in pre-school and the second building is for infants to three year olds getting ready to start pre- school. The classroom I observe is for children 18 months to 28 months. They are about fourteen children in the class with two teachers. The way the class is set up the younger students and their two teachers share one classroom, but the teachers and their toddlers are not in the same room until lunch time and nap time. The classroom has a kitchen, reading area, girls and boys bathroom, activity tables and there is a connecting room for the children to have bible time and free play. The discovery center has three separate playgrounds for the

In the spring of 1990 in Edenton North Carolina seven people including the owners and the staff members of the Little Rascals Day Care Center had been arrested and charged with sexually abuse. The mother Audrey Stever, who was concerned about her 3 year old Kyle reported the details of the abuse to authority. Seven staff members that worked in the Little Rascals day care were innocently accused of sexually abusing the majority of the children that attended the Little Rascals day care. This is a witch hunt because the co-workers were blamed. Put to jail, and judged for a crime they never committed.
The three programs I chose to analyze were the transportation program, the Day Away program, and the Stepping on program.
1. Context/ Introduction: For my third observation, on Monday October 17th, I returned back to the Kean University Child Care Center. Just like my second observation I came for my observation for the hour of 10:30-11:30 am. This time in the classroom there was four teacher aides and the teacher Ms. Kierah. When I walked into the classroom I was surprised when one of the teacher aides told me that Ethan has a lot of energy in class that day. She explained that Ethan had a lot of energy that his listening skills were a little off as well. Once she was done explaining this I was anxious to see this for myself. I saw Ethan was playing at the middle table with one other boy Steve. Quietly, I sat at the table to the right of the middle table and began my notes.

My interviewee is a close friend of mine, she is a Curtin university student, as well as working at a daycare center. Her job involves working with children from 0-3 years of age. She provides care and guidance for children as well as teaching kids primary and essential knowledge from young age. She deals with all types of children and she observes the children’s behaviors on daily basis, as this is a important role for her job. In the past she has spent time observing specifically autistic children, she explained how fascinating she found autistic children, and that she would like to learn more about their condition. She explained how often she has to try harder to explain simple things to autistic children, by repeating herself several times, showing him/her examples of her instructions. She also told me how as soon as autistic children understand her instruction, follow her rules to the best of their ability, often doing an excellent job. She said that its as almost if these children are adults, for example when she tells children “it is home time, time to put away all the toys”. Autistic children put the toys exactly where they got them from often in an organized manner. After that I asked her if she is interested in knowing more about autism. she explained her knowledge of autism is limited and that she would like to know why autistic children, have an excellent performance in areas such as, music, art, math and perform poorly in other areas such as,
According to Cook Children’s Hospital, the Kid Center webpage provides information for parents and children to learn about their bodies and how to stay healthy (Cook Children's Health Care System, 2018). Thank you for contacting the Governor’s Advocacy Office regarding if the ERDC program can cover daycare costs while someone is looking/interviewing for potential jobs.
If I were to leave my three year-old in a child care facility I would be very picky about where I would choose to leave him/her. A lot of parents tend to mainly focus on the child care price, location and availability. It is important but there's also many other important factors to look at when choosing a childcare facility for instance adequate staff, supervision or care. You see or hear things that go wrong at child care facilities and it does make you want to be more cautious on where you plan to take your child to be taken care of. You want to make sure they're safe, whether you choose a child care facility or a family day care.
childcare associations most commonly for the low-income families are costly these affiliations offer many services to kids their families and the babysitter's as such working families think that it's hard to give quality childcare to their kids because of the increasing expenses these associations ensure that families discover child care choices which can manage such predicaments most affiliations are charitable in order to offer a scope of sources one could see one of these child care associations luckily there are many associations in the United States that cater towards lonely pay families in managing the sort of child care that each American young star merits some of these include services that get guardians with referrals and assets that
