I believe my strength in developing as a learning advocate is student learning. In my classroom, I find that student learning is my ultimate focus. Understanding that each student has different learning needs at different times, I focus heavily in my class on assuring that my students are mastering each skill needed. In every lesson I present to my students, I consider how it could relate to them personally. I allow students to share in decision making, which places students at the center of their own learning. Resulting in an increased level of engagement and learning.
One area that I could work on is teaching students what they are ready to learn. In today’s education world students are expected to take test that standardize quite frankly
I do this through challenging, supporting, and providing guidance to them through sincere human interaction. I challenge their assumptions and push them to be authentic. I support their growth along their own unique path. I provide guidance to them by offering insight and lessons I have acquired on my own journey. I strive to ask the right questions and give the right feedback to help students understand WHO they want to be as opposed to WHAT they want to be and decide what kind of legacy they want to leave behind.
Education will always be the primary source of student’s success in the workforce, community, nationwide and globally. Teachers carry the weight of ensuring students are learning what is required to become productive members of society. As a teacher, the success of my students is the most important goal. There are so many pedagogies, philosophies, strategies, and materials teachers are able to use to be productive in the classroom. Every teacher has their own preferred
I see students as the next generations’ heroes in so many fields. In my vision, I have to inspire students and prepare them with confidence, knowledge, experience and skills. Which means I encourage, communicate, guide, teach, and assess students in order to enrich their infrastructures.
As an educator, it is my job to find new ways for my students to learn that coincides with their particular learning style and takes advantage of their strengths. In all practical terms, this will mean finding new ways for each of my students to learn in their own particular way. As a whole, my students will need more reason to learn with authentic experiences, hands-on

I am currently working in the elementary school level, but the biggest change that my school and district could make, are with the Professional Development, especially in the areas of children living in poverty or working with ELL

Two of these themes correlate directly with the mission statement previously created; lifelong learner and student empowerment. A student centered candidate who is a lifelong learner would be able to “provide a safe and effective learning environment in order to develop students with active and creative minds, a sense of worldly understanding, critical thinking skills, self-reliance, a compassion for others and a love of learning.” as stated in the mission statement.
Firstly, I would love to be able to make a difference in student’s lives most
My personal objectives for teaching is to connect the dots for the students when they learn new things and find ways to integrate what they knew and continuing to learn (Moran, Burson & Conrad,
In this regard, my ultimate aim is to empower my fellow students to understand how to take responsibility for their own particular advancement. I am able to do this by arranging and planning teaching and learning exercises that assess the necessities and well-being of individual students and groups of students. Some key parts of my role as a tutor maybe by applying the following:
I learned that some students learn better by being able to move around and some students like to sit quietly. I learned to present ideas through both auditory and visual means. Offering manipulatives or other hands-on support for students who need them. As a future educator, I thoroughly understand the differences of all learners. So now I can provide a better chance of meeting the diverse learning needs of all my future students.
As educators, we are responsible for enlightening, motivating, engaging and teaching our students. Indeed, this responsibility
My measurements of success are found in each and every student I teach. One of the most rewarding experiences I have had while student teaching, was watching a child’s face light up at the pivotal moment when they grasp a new concept or master a new skill. In fact, those “aha” moments are my motivators which feed my desire to look for better ways to ensure all students experience those same “aha” moments. As an effective teacher, I am determined and dedicatef to the continual process of researching, implementing, collecting and analyzing data to ensure I am improving upon the curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment used in my classroom. Learning is a never-ending process. The better skilled I become as a teacher, the better the learning experience I can provide for my students. Therefore, the more I actively research, implement, and reflect, the greater the opportunity for giving my students the education they deserve and hopefully, the inspiration to pursue their own lifelong love of learning.
