"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." Change is necessary for growth, and generates additional change. In the Book "Robin Hood" by Howard Pyle, Little John changed how he acts and thinks because of loyalty to Robin Hood, guilt for leaving him for the sheriff, and his friendship with Robin Hood. The first force that causes change in Little John is joining Robin Hood and his men. After fighting Robin and getting "Christened" (Pyle 10) and being renamed Little John, (An ironic nickname, as his name is actually John Little, nor is he little.) Little John sticks with Robin Hood through everything, and stays by him even as he is dying. Little John wished to go to a fair at the Nottingham Town, and after
John's life seemed to be one major drama after another; he didn't have a good male role model as a kid, and it seems he never was able to get on track. What was amazing about his life was the number of problems that he seemed to get into and how he wriggled out of them (with the help of a friendly person who just happened to meet him) only to run into more problems.
Little John grew fat from eating too much, so he could not fight as well. “What with hunting and hawking a little, and eating rich dishes and drinking good sack, and sleeping until late hours in the morning, he grew fat as a stall fed ox.” This quote was chosen because because it shows Little John’s routines at the sheriff's place. “But Little John suffered the most, for he had become unused to such stiff labor, and his joints were not supple as they had been before he went to dwell with the Sheriff. This quote proves that Little John couldn’t fight as well as he could have fought before he went to the

What strategy do you recommend to Robin Hood to deal with the problems and issues he confronts?

Robin Hood: a fictional tale, a notorious thief, or a combination of both? Robin Hood is one of the most popular cultural folk heroes known to man. Although historians have ideas regarding the livelihood of Robin Hood, none of them can undeniably prove he actually existed. There are stories that differ in ways, and because of this he is still a mystery. People have an idea of where it all started, know the different names and tales that he consists of, and know what he is known as today, yet many still do not know fact from fiction. Before trying to put other pieces of the puzzle together, people must first consider where he actually came from.
“Rise and rise again until lambs become lions.” This quote defines the way in which Robin Hood lives and subsequently drives the plot of the movie. This specific Robin Hood movie, released in 2010, takes a different approach than most Robin Hood movies by focusing on Robin Hood’s background. In the following essay, the historical accuracy of the movie and our resulting cultural assumptions, the ethical and moral challenges introduced, and my personal recommendation will be analyzed.
Robin Hood's good traits are easily seen throughout the story. The author did a good job of making his hero come across as a good person, who has often been misinterpreted because of things that he did as a young boy. Showing the change Robin Hood has made since he was a little boy easily allows the reader to better understand how great he really is, and how he is helping not only himself, but all of the poorer community.

Robin Hood was faced with issues from very early on in his life. His mothers death was very difficult for him, but living with his fathers love for another women, after his mother had died, was just too much for him and he threatened his father that staying with that women would cost him his only sons love. An identity crisis and erosion of self-confidence, those are what John is unfortunately going through. It may not be obvious, but peers have a large enough role, besides his family in his development (Allen & Antonishak, 2008). Peer relationship actually affects how a child would excel in school as well as in the later part of life (Bukowski, Brendgen & Vitaro, 2007; Song & Siegel, 2008). Every individual, especially those within the younger years would have a desire to be accepted by their peers. In this case, John does not have any friends.
When some people hear of robin hood they think of the disney cartoon. But the disney cartoon/ movie is not the real story about him. A lot of people know him through movies, shows, ballads, and poems. Most people don’t know that those movies, poems, shows, etc. are actually based on a real person. Robin Hood existed back in the medieval times. Robin Hood was originally was called “robert hood” but everyone changed it to robin hood because they liked it better.
“If you want to impose change into something, you have to evaluate first where it stands at the moment. That’s the only way you could completely understand the needed improvement.”
Because of John’s exclusion, he learned to fend for himself. He learned to read when nobody else in the town could. At age twelve, John
