This project is about doing a collaboration collection from a luxury brand for a retail brand. The project goes deeply into analysing and interpreting about marketing managment and visual merchandising. My topic is the collaboration of Acne Studios for French Connection. The end result is to create and sell a clothing line with ten different looks that represent both stores aesthetic.
Louis Vuitton “was established in France in 1854 by Louis Vuitton and became known as one of the oldest French luxury fashion houses” in the industry (Pearce & Robinson, 2013, p. 14-2). The firm’s products range from high quality “leather goods, handbags, trunks, shoes, watches, jewelry, and accessories”; manufactured by highly skilled and expensive laborers in France (Forbes.com, 2016). In addition, Louis Vuitton market their products “in 50 countries with more than 460 shops and generates more than €7-billion ($9.5-billion U.S.) in annual sales” (Wendlandt, 2013).
Another challenge for Louis Vuitton is the market and brand dilution as it has already entered and successfully fit in the Japanese market. The products have already maintained the “acceptable” group, and the company has become to feel difficult to increase the revenue. The figure provided in the case showed that nearly half of the Japanese have Louis Vuitton-monogrammed items by the time of 2007. This seemed to make LV prevalent but not luxury any more. To maintain its brand image, it is
In 2017, I hope to feature in more fashion show for example Kansas City, New York, Chicago Fashion Week. The sky's the limit! I hope to expand my brand even larger and making Rich Apparels a household name. I would love to bring something totally different in 2017 with my designs; something my consumers would never

Yves Saint Laurent was a great fan of art and a collector. He took inspiration for several of his designs from famous artists. In 1965 he launched the Mondrian collection, inspired by Piet Mondrian paintings. This was the first of many tributes paid to fine arts, after this one, he let his imaginary goes to African art (1960s), Picasso (1970s), Diaghilev (1970s), Apollinaire (1980s), Van Gogh (1980s) and many others.

The fashion house was founded in Rome in the mid-20s and has since grown a reputation for luxury and elegance, particularly with their line of Fendi sunglasses. Fendi has strong ties to fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld, who designed the brand's instantly recognisable logo and is currently creative director at the fashion house. The range of released Fendi sunglasses in 2015 and previous years have always taken inspiration from the label's other catwalk creations, including the famous leather handbags
Fashion has been around ever since ancient times, since the time of the Romans, it survived the world wars and is yet today a business with rapid changes. Fashion started off as an art form, a way for the riches to show their social status with unique and innovative designs that only they could afford. It was a way to separate the social classes of the society. In this paper I will include the creator of haute couture, and how the following designers developed couture, as well as having leading names in today’s ready-to-wear industry. The list is long, but I chose to focus on the three most important designers of the modern fashion industry.
Victoria Secret was founded in by Roy Raymond, and his wife Gaye, in San Francisco, California, on June 12, 1977. The company got its start when Roy Raymond was trying to shop for lingerie for his wife. He’d gone to a department store to make his purchase, only to find himself deeply uncomfortable and made even more so by saleswomen scrutinizing his presence there. “When I tried to buy lingerie for my wife,” Raymond told Newsweek in 1981, “I was faced with racks of terry-cloth robes and ugly floral-print nylon nightgowns, and I always had the feeling the department-store saleswomen thought I was an unwelcome intruder.” Raymond saw an opportunity in his discomfort and in 1977 borrowed $80,000 to open Victoria’s Secret as a store designed originally to make men comfortable when buying lingerie for their wives.
Francois Nars grew up in the South of France. He was surrounded by fashion from an early age, because his mother, Claudette Nars, owned Claudette’s Vogue Magazine. His inspiration came from the likes of Yves Saint Laurent and glamour actresses such as Catherine Denueve. A graduate of the Carita Make-up School in Paris, Nars use of colors and unique techniques made him an instant hit among fashion designers such as like Marc Jacobs and Versace. His iconic looks allowed photographers like Avedon to capture images that never ceases to amaze. After moving to New York in 1984 and working with many publications and fashion designers, he was not satisfied with the materials given to him to work with. In 1994, he created a collection of 12 lipsticks and sold it in Barneys. It sold out instantly and because a sensation.
