Feedback both positive and negative is important for personal development as it helps us to become more aware of what we do and how we do it. Both in good and bad ways, this feedback can then be used to self-develop and improve our practice.

This following will outline my personal leadership practices and potential future leadership. To analyze my leadership qualities I will use the Seven Habits Profile and a leadership theory to determine my strengths, weaknesses, and areas of opportunity for improvement. In conclusion, I will determine the best recommendations for long-term improvement as well as SMART goals, or short-term courses of action, for leadership improvement.

Feedback is important as it sets up targets; the person knows what to improve. It motivates people and helps them to focus. It helps identifying the strengths and weaknesses. It expresses what is important to the organisation and the job and reduces uncertainties in people.

Besides the sole proprietorship after reading I learned about three basic types of business organizations known as limited liability (LLC), partnership, and corporation. Sole proprietorship is a “business owned and operated by a single person. The business has no separate legal existence from its owner.” (Rogers, 2012) In the textbook it said “Partnership is an association of two or more competent persons to carry on a business as co-owners for profit. The business itself is not a legal entity.” (Rogers, 2012) The law says competent means a partner having contractual capacity and a partnership where each partners simultaneously a principle and agent. You can partner up with a minor but be wise to emancipation or be cautions because minors can void partnership agreements. Partners of a business are owners and managers automatically unless specified otherwise by partners but according to the law they presume equal rights. “Note that while there can be unprofitable partnerships, there is no such thing as a nonprofit partnership. The partners must intend to make a profit.” (Rogers, 2012)

Since organizations are open and complex adaptive systems they must interact with their external environment. The external environment could consist of many things such as money, people, materials, technology, information, etc. The external environment supplies these inputs and then the organization will create goods or services using the inputs provided by the environment. Organizations are then turning the resources they are provided with into final outputs. This is called an open system. Once the organization has provided the final output for the environment, the environment then consumes the output and then provides consumer feedback that the organization analyses to see

Feedback- This area refers to the ongoing information that employees receive in the performance of their jobs. At my job, we receive feedback, letting us know that we exceeded the standards for call wait times or if we have not met this standard. Feedback also goes back to the management in that they become aware of the situations.
