The Marketing Concept The "marketing concept" is the philosophy that firms should analyze the needs of their customers and then make decisions to satisfy those needs, better than the competition. Today most firms have adopted the marketing concept, but this has not always been the case.
Apple Company has applied marketing concept into their business. As we know, the marketing concept means determining the needs and wants of target markets and delivering the desired satisfaction more effectively and efficiently than competitors do.

The purposes of recycling are to reduce toxic products, increase durable products and save resources.
The Product Concept: The "product concept" prevailed from the time of the industrial revolution until the early 1920 's. The production concepts was the idea that a firm should focus on those products that it could produce most efficiently and that the creation of a supply of low-cost products would in and of itself create the demand for the products.
Toyota is an example of a company, which uses the Product Concept. The cars manufactured by Toyota are of supreme quality, which also yield an overall good performance. They do not compromise on the seating comfort and luxury in the car. At the same time, they manage to give a good mileage, which is a necessity in the Indian market. Although their prices are slightly higher compared to other competitors such as Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki and Honda, Toyota is still a primary choice for many of the middle class families. Some of the high selling cars of Toyota in India include Innova, Altis and Fortuner. The highest selling Toyota car around the world is the Prius which is a hybrid car made to save fuel. This car can be charged and is very efficient at the same time. The servicing of the car is also one of the key features why Toyota cars rule the market. It is very affordable. Marketing Concept The marketing concept can be defined as the idea that an organization should strive to satisfy the needs of customers, while also trying to achieve the organization’s goals.1 The marketing concept is about matching a company 's capabilities with customer wants. They use TV adverts, billboards, catalogues and flyers which are all effective ways on how to approach customers in order to sell products to them. This is effective as it keeps consumers interested in a business’s products and it asks customers on how the business how it could improve, this could make consumers happier with the store.

Even though Apple is a technological company it takes a humanistic approach to satisfying the needs of its customers far better than the competition.
This paper comprehensively describes the marketing plan of a charismatic organization Apple Inc. The main focus of the paper is to describe the most important marketing strategies which Apple has espoused from the date of its emergence and different challenges which it has faced from time to time. The paper begins with an introduction to the organization. Apple Inc. is an American MNC; engaged in the business of developing and marketing of IT products. Apple has expanded its business operations all over the world. Every product which Apple introduces has its own target market; it develops marketing plan and strategies for each of its products separately (Apple, 2012). Apple's strengths include strong brand image, financial strength, product and process design, and highly efficient operations management while high prices and inability of up gradation of some products are its main weaknesses. Apple has threats from its competitors, increasing costs, and economic situations but has greater opportunities in entering new markets, making strategic alliances, and bringing innovations through efficient R&D. Before entering new markets, Apple has to analyze the business environment through sensitivity analysis, and then decide a framework for the future strategies.
Recycling is a very essential and crucial process in our world today. The term recycling means that waste can be converted into new products instead of being discarded. As the population continues to grow, humans are using more and more products. In order to reduce the amount of waste on planet Earth, and to preserve its resources, recycling is significant. Not only does recycling allow the environment to thrive, but it also allows living people to thrive as well. There are many materials that can be recycled. Plastics, electronics, aluminum, food and glass are only but a few products that can be recycled. Recycling can benefit our environment in numerous amount of ways. However, without recycling, negative impacts on our environment can occur. Some of these effects include pollution whether it is air, land or sea, depletion of natural resources and even an increase threat to global warming. Therefore, recycling is extremely important to sustain our environment.
The Marketing Concept. This is a business philosophy that challenges the above three business orientations. Its central tenets crystallized in the 1950s. It holds that the key to achieving its organizational goals (goals of the selling company) consists of the company being more effective than competitors in creating, delivering, and communicating customer value to its selected target customers. The Marketing Concept represents the major change in today’s company orientation that provides the foundation to achieve competitive advantage. This philosophy is the foundation of consultative selling.
Apple wants to expand sales to clients who do not own products. Produce hassles free products for the enjoyment for customers. Become the leader in the mobile market. Strategy: Expanding the company’s distribution network to hit more consumers. Continue to invest prudently in Research and Development. Become the mobile leader.
Apple was established as an IT company dealing in exclusively in computers. However, competition in the technology sector forced the firm to focus on other consumer products. The diversification strategy has seen Apple’s sales grow tremendously in the last decade, earning the firm the No. 1 brand position at Forbes. The Apple brand is recognized on an international scale and enjoys a strong recognition thanks to its aggressiveness when it comes to creativity and innovation (Tar, 2013). It has a large number of loyal customers who would purchase the new products regardless of the market price, which guarantees profits from the new division.

As Jobber(2012) was claiming, the marketing concept is "Achieving corporate goals by meeting and exceeding customer needs, better than the competition". Marketing is the process of telling a true story in an unforgettable manner. As a consequence, it became an essential tool in the competitive business environment. The main objective is to maximize the company 's profit by showing up with stunning adverts. Bearing in mind the development of technology, "It is well known that markets grow by the reduction of unit prices: this is how the computer became a household necessity", this could not be possible without a good marketing strategy (Kapferer 2012, p.205).
The Marketing Concept The marketing concept has evolved over the last years, marketing reflects to a key approach to doing business. An organisations objective is to make profit, to do this they have to consider the marketing concept, in order to satisfy customers. For an organisation to be successful should divert its attention away from particular products and towards the interest of the customers. Customers changing their needs and wants influence an organisations strategies and plans. Meeting customer’s needs is the main key in marketing.
Increased recycling means less trash entering landfills. The greatest environmental benefit of recycling is the use of energy and natural resources when old materials are used to make new products. Many consider recycling an easy task. Products that become garbage have an effect on global warming, which makes recycling as a viable option. The phrase ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ was coined to promote recycling and a clean environment. Recycling is a simple way in which people can contribute to making a better world. It takes time and effort to collect, separate and send trash away. Recycling effects every aspect of our environment—homes, schools and hospitals.
