Now that you are going into 6th grade, I thought I would give you some tips about Middle School. I honestly think that you are going to love Middle School at first you might be thinking this is going to be the worst year of my life, but you're wrong you are going to love it so much that you won’t want to leave. I know that you are feeling nervous, frightened, scared, or you might even be excited and can’t wait to start. But there is nothing to worry about. When you get in Middle school you get to have so much freedom then you had in elementary. You get to have your own locker, more classes, and no more standing in lines. When I was in elementary I thought that Middle school was going to be awesome and cool, and I was super excited
Middle school was a lot of fun for me, I met a lot of new people and lots of new girls. It was also kinda tough in the beginning with switching classes and things and having so many different teachers and lots of homework from different classes and having to remember the room numbers of each class but eventually I got used to everything.
My time at Crone Middle School has come and gone so much faster than I would have ever expected. I can still recall my fifth grade memories as if they occurred just yesterday. If you told me these three years would fly by in a second, I would have never believed you. My fifth grade self thought that middle school would take my entire life to finish, and high school was a whole other topic. As a fifth grader, I was so excited for lockers, new friends, and new classes. I forgot all the other factors that play a role in middle school. This includes grades, homework, tests, quizzes, etc.
To totally start things off, right when you walk through the doors of your middle school, you are struck with a burst of something you are not familiar with. This exotic feeling is total strictness. If you thought your parents were tough then you are going to be very surprised once you hear your new principal. Middle school is just scary. From kids who are yelling at you to the kids who are crying rivers in the bathroom stalls, middle school stinks.
Fifty percent of people say they can’t wait to go to middle school. Getting ready for school may be harder than you expect. You need to go to open house, get your school supplies, and your routine. And make sure you do not forget your school supplies. Get a new bookbag.
Jr. High can be a nasty place. Notice how I said can? You control how you are going to handle it. A very important thing you need to have is study skills. You need to pay attention in class and not slack off or you will not understand what you’re doing. Procrastination is also a huge issue in Jr. High and that is not a trap you want to fall into. Without academic success, middle school can turn into a dark, dreadful place. You won’t want to come to your classes anymore because they have become exceptionally demanding. Having study skills will help you succeed and maybe exceed expectations. If you study for every test and quiz and you do all of your homework right when you get home, your life in Jr. High will be so much easier. Take it from me, a professional procrastinator myself; do not keep your homework until the last minute and have good study skills!
Second let's talk about starting middle school. I go to Rocky Mountain Middle School. I was scared when I first started middle school, but my teachers made it amazing.
Are you nervous about starting Jr. High? I know it can be scary, but if you follow my advice, Jr. High will be a breeze. Jr. High can be nerve wracking but also fun. Jr. High can be stressful and confusing, but at the same time exciting and adventurous. Jr. High is a big part of your life. Jr. High preps you for high school, and high school preps you for college, which is where you study what you’ll do with the rest of your life. To survive Jr. High, you need to know these things, know your study skills, be social, and follow my advice.
What advice would you give to someone starting middle school? For starters always put school first. If you get school work done right away you won't have a stormy cloud above your head the whole week, and you can get the chance to focus on other things like friends, family, and even sports and the things you love. Getting it done right away will help you be successful in the long run. If you can get all of your homework done well and on time you can up your grades, because grades are more important than you think. Failing grades are such a big deal because you can even lose a scholarship from them. Don’t let that happen! Secondly never plagiarize, quote the ideas that you borrow and write in your own words! Plagiarizing
“I mean, I don’t know what I am, so why is it anyone else’s business and why is everyone talking about me?”
Although life can be changing so can middle school too. Middle school is different from elementary school. Middle school is different because your teachers are different and you have more classes. That means more responsibility. Some teachers are very tough on you about that. Elementary and middle school are to different things because what you say and what you do are very serious
Middle school and high school sound very similar but they are not. All of the classes, activities, and opportunities change. It will not be the same as what you are use to. You will grow up having fun in high school.
First days of middle school, feeling butterflies in your stomach, and making sure you have everything perfect. Outfit. Check. Backpack. Check. Lunch. Check. Binders. Oh No, not check.
Welcome to your first day of middle school. Take a deep breath, and know that me and my friends all survived 6th grade. You might think that it is going to be really hard, and not fun but it is!
3 years ago I was in the same exact position, an eager seventh grade that can’t wait to go to high school. Just like all of you, I wanted to go to high school so bad and finally be with the older kids. As far away from all the seventh graders as I could get. All the teachers would say how much more freedom we would get and it sounds like a dream come true. You may think they are just sugar coating the whole thing, but they really aren’t. I know it can be nerve racking and all, but you’ve already done it before. Just a year ago you had to come up to middle school and sometime down the line you had to make new friends. Yes you came up with some of the kids from your elementary school, but eventually you had to find new kids to talk to with in classes, lunch, extra curriculars, and the list goes on. This time you are moving up to a school again, but you are with all the kids you’re going to school with right now. It’s an upgraded transition from elementary to middle school. Times of having super strict rules are gone. Yes of course there will be rules, but your freedom will open up. In some classes you get to pick your seats. There won’t be things like silent lunches. I hated having silent lunches, we would have them almost twice a week. I remember when I
When i got into middle school I gained a lot of responsibility. We are responsible for many more things. MIddle school is a lot different than elementary. The responsibility that you have is like all of you supplies for class, your athletics clothes, and to get to class on time. MIddle school is a lot more difficult than elementary.
