The movie Mean Girls is filled with characters that are easy to relate with, quotable lines, and a hilarious but realistic plot line. One other major thing that the movie has is concepts of the development that occurs during late adolescences including social, emotional, and cognitive development. Mean Girls is about a girl named Cady that is attending a public high school for the first time after being home schooled in Africa for all of her life. She knows nothing of the American teenage culture or customs or about the public school system. During her first week of school Cady becomes friends with two people in one of her classes named Janis and Damien, who unbeknownst to her are a part of the

From the introduction before, everyone may have rough concepts about the perception and the movie named mean girls. The movie will be used into analysis perception in the following parts.
Mean Girls is a movie about a girl who moves to the United States from Africa and attends her first real high school, as she had been homeschooled throughout her life. The movie relays the social struggles faced by high school students. This movie, however, is no boring documentary about the life of a high
Mean Girls (2004) follows the journey of sixteen year old Cady (Lindsay Lohan) in her first year at a public school in suburban America - a stark contrast to the previous twelve years of her life: being homeschooled in Africa. Cady moves to Evanston, Illinois and soon finds herself in with 'The Plastics ', the "teen royalty" of Northshore High School, led by the 'Queen Bee ', Regina George (Rachel McAdams).
In the movie “Mean Girls”, released in 2004, followed through the life of a girl named Cady, played by Lindsay Lohan. Cady faced a new chapter in her life when she attended in a high school for the first time. Where the “Plastics” rule the school and infested it with drama, the group runs by four teenage girls, Regina, the leader, Gretchen, the pretty princess, Karen, the dummy girl, and later on Cady joined the group as "a pretender". This movie truly shows what a teenage life at a drama infested high school looks like when teenagers that are not familiar with the American ways in socialize with other people and how to survive the potentially threatening lifestyle that could affect a person mental.
The movie Mean Girls follows Cady Heron as she experiences high school for the first time in her life. As she is thrown into a new society, this film provides the opportunity to socially analyze high school. From figuring out her new culture and society that she is engrossed in to realizing how social status can both negatively and positively affect her values and beliefs, there are many concepts that Cady learns and is taught as she makes her way through her first year of public school.
Stereotypically, men and women have very different roles in the eyes of society. Gender roles and stereotypes have a history in religious, political, legal and economic systems. In reality, men and women are more alike than most people assume. Throughout the world there are struggles with identity, power, and violence occurring everyday between both men and women. The film Mean Girls, directed by Mark Walters, follows a young girl, Cady’s, transition from being home schooled to public high school. Cady enters the school’s group of mean girls, otherwise known as “the plastics”, which consists of Regina George, Gretchen Wieners, and Karen Smith. Throughout the film each character struggles with their true identity.
Mean Girls reinforces the aspect of tragedy by creating a lesson that being yourself is better than becoming someone you’re not.
“Cold, shiny, hard, plastic.”, one of the most popular quotes from the movie, Mean Girls. Mean Girls is a teen comedy film directed by Mark Waters and screenplay by Tina Fey. This film is loosely based on a book called “Queen Bees and Wannabees” by Rosalind Wiseman which is a self-help book that describes all of the cliques in high school and how they can have a huge effect on girls. But the movie itself is about the sociopolitical climate of the average American “high school”. The movie was made in 2004 and set in Evanston, Illinois, but the film was shot in Toronto, Canada. The film stars Lindsey Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and many more comedic actors and actresses. I chose to do an analysis on the movie, Mean Girls, because I wanted to see if people would agree with my perspective, which is that this movie does correctly show the real life mean girl situations and how girls can overcome the popularity contests.
Deciding what is most important in life is often a struggle, especially during high school. Mean Girls is a teen comedy film loosely based on the self-help book titled Queen Bees and Wannabes. The main character is a high school student named Cady that just moved from Africa and has been homeschooled her whole life. The American culture and society she is introduced to is embodied by the Plastics, who are the most popular girls at North Shore High: Regina, Gretchen, and Karen. The pressure put on Cady by society causes her to struggle to decide what her priorities should be. Mean Girls criticizes the traditional notions of femininity that are expected of women, as they are not required for them to be successful and accomplished.
Tina Fey and Rosalind Wiseman wrote the 2004 cult classic film Mean Girls. The film is about Cady Heron (played by Lindsay Lohan) and her attempt to fit into her first ever school experience after having been homeschooled. In one scene, while trying to navigate through the cafeteria, she is stopped by the queen bee Regina George and is asked to sit. This act jumpstarts the familiar high school journey, and teenage quest of becoming popular. During this journey, many other teenage ideologies and values are highlighted.
"Cold, shiny, hard, PLASTIC," said by Janice referring to a group of girls in the movie Mean Girls. Mean Girls is about an innocent, home-schooled girl, Cady who moves from Africa to the United States. Cady thinks she knows all about survival of the fittest. But the law of the jungle takes on a whole new meaning when she enters public high school and encounters psychological warfare and unwritten social rules that teen girls deal with today. Cady goes from a great friend of two "outcasts", Janice and Damien to a superficial friend of the "plastics", a group of girls that talks about everyone behind their back and thinks everyone loves them. Adolescent egocentrism and relationships with peers are obviously present throughout the film. I
The movie I have chosen to do my psychological film disorder assignment on is Girl Interrupted which is a psychological drama directed by James Mangold. The movie takes place in a mental institution for troubled women. All of the characters in this movie suffer from one or more mental illnesses such as depression, borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia. The movie gives us an inside look on how poorly these women are being treated and how they are treated as if they are abnormal because they are in this institution. Similarly the women are faced with their own personal and outer issues within the institution. The director gives us an inside look on how the patients are being treated poorly are
