When I started Bachelor in Business Administration in 2004, I didn’t have a specific goal that I wanted to achieve with my studies. The only thing that I knew was that the degree would give me the knowledge and skills required to be a professional in the field of business/finance/economics. And I always dreamed to dedicate my knowledge and service in economic and financial improvement of Nepal. After getting the degree in 2009 I worked for two different companies. One of them was newly established company. That gave me the opportunity to experience the working environment of an established company and a new entrant in the business. I learned to coordinate with co-workers and understood the value of listening to workers grievance and settle down their problems and also saw the efficiency and effectiveness of satisfied workers in ‘Chitwan Seed Industry’, my first company. Whereas in ‘Narayani Montessori and Training Centre’ I got opportunity to make strategic plans and execute it and share my knowledge in the subjects like business mathematics and finance with students in special tuition classes where I gave special tuition classes to higher secondary school students and bachelor degree first year students. The working environment was satisfactory to some extent but the theories and principles of management that I studied didn’t seem applicable in most of the areas. Although I did not pass with a distinction, I still managed to obtain an average of 72% for the overall degree.
Business Administration The idea of studying business administration has appealed to me greatly and has encouraged me to further develop my education following this path. I have a keen enthusiasm to pursue a degree in Business Administration as I enjoy the challenges it sets and find the many different areas of business you are able to branch out into, very exciting! From research about the subject I'm expecting to greatly further my learning of how businesses operate and be able to then put my knowledge into practice. I am confident within myself and find communication with others easy.
