My Opinion On The United States Army

Some may look at my history or my former occupation and think my opinion is skewed. Honestly, I can admit that my political views are bias to a certain level. But, my opinion on torture is not swayed due to the fact that one time in my life I served in the United States Army. My view on torture or inflicting agony on an individual for information rest on me being protective of my children. I know, that many will read what I just wrote and think I am a terribly father and the “ramifications of war” attribute to my support of torture for information. But I ensure you the reader that I am normal 26 year old male, father of two, who would do nothing more than ensure the safety and protection of my family.
September 11, 2001, a day that no American can or will ever forget. I am sure, if you ask any person to recall where they were on September 11, 2001 they could, without hesitation. What this shows is the significant impact this event has had on Americans. As I look back at America during this time, I remember flags being stood up at almost every house, proud Americans wearing lapel pins and Americans trying to pick back up the pieces. According to a report done by the USA Today in 2001, more than eighty percent of Americans supported the War in Afghanistan compared to now over 40 percent believe it was a mistake.
