After completing the “Determining Your Personality Style” assessment, I was shocked with my result because it plainly described me. According to my assessment my personality style is Amiable; a person who wants to know “why?”, Wants to build relationships, loves to give others support and attention, values suggestions from others, fears losing trust, dislike disagreements with others, displays her emotions, and somewhat introverted. I also discovered that as an amiable person, my strengths are, supportive, patient, and diplomatic. I am not quite aware know my strengths and what I tend to see mostly are my weaknesses and mistakes, which scares me when confronted with the question, “tell me about yourself.” However, I am glad I did this assessment because it made me realise that in all my weaknesses and mistakes I still have strengths. Now I can boldly tell someone my strengths. Nonetheless, there are still some signs of weaknesses in me. The assessment said, “there is a great saying ‘your greatest strength is also your greatest weakness’’.” As a leader, I need to be able to access all the personality styles because I will be dealing with different kinds of people and situations that demand leaders with a certain type of personality style. For example, I can’t efficiently lead a team of drivers if I’m an amiable person. So to develop other personality styles I will start doing the following;
The personality type most different form mine is the artist. “The artist will do whatever works, whatever gives them a quick, effective payoff, even if they have to bend the rules” (Keirsey, n.d.). I find myself struggling with this personality because I like to play by the rule, not bend them. I like to take time and assess the best way to do
The personality type that best describes me is ESTJ personality -The Executive. ESTJs represent tradition and order and embrace the values of honesty, dignity and dedication. They also lead by example as they are strong believers in the rule of law and authority, dislike laziness and cheating specifically at work. Because ESTJs expect their reliability and work ethic to be reciprocated, they do not hesitate to show their wrath to anyone who does otherwise. This attribute however, earned them the reputation of being inflexible. Throughout my life and career, I have exhibited these traits. I am brutally honest, dedicated and follow the rule of law without wavering. In my field we are governed by laws and in my position, I uphold the law.
My personality type is logistician(ISTJ). Some generally qualities are independent, logical, loyal, responsible, serious, organized, quiet and a rule follower etc. I found most of these qualities to be true about myself. I like working alone and think before I act. I need to have the facts before I set my k da to something. I'm pretty loyal since I keep things to myself and people can rely on me when they need some assistance. I am kind of quiet when I don't know where I am at or who I'm going to be dealing with. I don't like to be social and make conversations to others. I stay by myself until someone comes to me and speaks first. I can be serious at times but I'm a goofball and I like to be silly and sarcastic. I'm also a tile follower I
Nothing feels better than giving back to a place that has given so much to people. A majority of the little things that we do day by day are taken for granted or they are just seen as nothing major. In reality there are so many things that are given to us and we do not always see the little things in life as anything of mass importance. For our kindness project we decided that it was time for us to give a little to ensure someone had a smile at the end of the day. We partnered up with the Rho Nu club here on campus and together we made tie blankets. These blankets that we made will be donated to the Sacred Heart hospital in Spokane later this month. We decided to do this project in the hopes of giving a little, but making it count for a lot more. We hoped that the children receiving these blankets always get a smile on their face or simply that they just find comfort in these blankets. In this project I was the leader of the group and I did most of the organization of
After answering multiple questions for different situations I was able to obtain information about my personality. ENFJ is a very unique and has various skill sets that will allow me as individual to work in multiple roles. Occupations with good interpersonal skills that allow productive collaboration through any working process. Although this personality can be challenging it still has many benefits to help build careers successfully. There are many high rank positions that this particular personality type would be effective in. Some examples are sales, social services, community care, legal and the list goes on. In all of these roles there are a broad range of occupations that would fit perfectly based on the personality type. However, the ultimate focus is to reach their main dreams. Although they may see their selves as helpers or enablers, this creates the challenge.
The first personality is ID. ID operates on the pleasure principle which is the idea that every impulse should be satisfied immediately, regardless of the consequences. When the ID achieves its demands, they then experience pleasure. When it is denied, they then experience unpleasure or tension. (McLeod) The best character from Lord of the Flies that fits this personality is Jack. Jack is willing to do anything for his clan of wild hooligans and that even means killing anything to protect them, for example killing the “beast” before it kills them all. Also, he is eager to make rules and punish those who break them, he makes others follow them but he doesn’t follow those same rules that he creates.(Golding ) The other two characters are nothing like Jack but they do care about the others like Jack does.
After taking Jung’s typology test I received the personality type INTJ. The introvert score given was a 59 percent, intuitive 16 percent, thinking 25 percent and judging 56 percent. Based on these scores I took a look at what my strengths would be. According to the website used to take the test one strength would be that INTJ’s are perfectionist while some may consider this a bit of a weakness, I don’t think it’s such a bad thing. INTJ see that there is always room to improve and learn more, especially about things that they find interesting. Another strength is having the combination of both imagination and reliability, this is good when it comes to working on projects or coming up with an idea for something, because not only can you envision what it will be but you can decide realistically if it will work. Butt and Heiss (n.d.) say that INTJ’s are also good at seeing opportunities other people may not. The high introvert score indicates I am much better at working alone then with the help of others, and normally working on something until it is completed. When it comes to other strengths, INTJ’s will work extremely hard in relationships and are very good at picking up people’s emotions. This is part of the intuitive dimension. Thinkers are good at making strong decisions based on rational information rather than
Personality simply can be defined as the character of someone. It is the set of emotional qualities, thinking, ways of behaving, feeling and so on. Personality differs from one person to another. Similarly, my personality is also quite different from others. I get a chance to know about my personality by trying a test which I have never tried before.
One particular element I read when reading about the results of this indicator test was the ESFJ personality types works hard, see problems clearly and expects others to do the same. In nursing not everyone has the same personality and it is difficult for me when other nurses don’t have the same enthusiasm or flare to get tasks done. Also my personality demands structure and organization, not all personalities feel the same way. To improve my team performance, I need to remind myself to be respectful to other personalities, by not getting frustrated with others not performing the way I do. They just have different personalities.
Succeeding in academics can be affected greatly by your personality. Being an ISTJ and having sensing and judging as my two main personality traits certainly has both its up and downs. Ever since I was a child, I have always been responsible, orderly, and statistical, and as time passed, these traits become a natural habit. I see this as a strength since it had helped me significantly in my studies, but some of these traits also restrict my creativity and often makes it difficult for me to look outside the box.
After taking the personality test, my results showed I had the “ENFP” personality type. From reading more about my personality type, I found out that people who have the “ENFP” type of personality would enjoy working as an actor or a fashion designer. There were other careers that were mentioned, but those were the top ones listed for the “ENFP” personality type. Overall, I think the test did a good job of describing me and what I enjoy doing, as far as the type of work I enjoy. The information also stated that my personality type consists of people who like to help others, which is also true for me, as I like to help others whenever I can.
“Encourage, lift and strengthen one another. For the positive energy spread to one will be felt by us all.” (Deborah Day) This describes the ESFJ personality in which fits my personality perfectly. Never taking one of these test left me very skeptical, but after finding information on it brought to my attention that most of the information does fit my personality. Every personality shows a lot about the type of person you are like your strengths and weaknesses. I believe this class will give me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge on how to grow as a better individual after learning more about myself.
The INFJ personality is known to be the world rarest personality type and often misunderstood. This type stand for a percentage of less than 2% of the overall world population according to Holm (2009), the majority of that percentage being female and some famous INFJ that can be named are Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Mother Teresa. My INFJ in academic and business milieu: from the past week assignment, my preferred four letters chosen base on the instructions received from Myers-Briggs type indicator were INFJ, which stands for Introverting, iNtuiting, Feeling and Judging. For this week assignment I was very surprise after taking the Jungian test to discover that my personality type fours letter were confirmed to be the same INFJ. Having my conformed INFJ profile means that in business milieu, my creativity and sense of responsibility come in first. Although as an INFJ I’m strongly introverted, I nevertheless highly care about my relationship with other individuals. At work I’m open to communication and always available when it comes to help colleagues to carry out on tasks or explaining work procedures. However, my personality type also implies that I can have sudden need for personal time away from others, which is my way to recharge and regain my energy. In an academic milieu, I’m more focus on setting and reaching my goals; I get motivated by planning in advance my studying weeks and do a lot of efforts to meet my assignment deadlines. I can get emotionally
I have to admit that I was skeptical in completing the personality profile. I thought, “How could a few questions determine everything about my management style”. When I received my results, I was astonished at how accurately those results portrayed my personality. While deciding which of my personality traits were advantageous and which were detrimental to my management style, I became conflicted as all of my scores can be portrayed as both positive and negative depending on the situation.
