As a person, I believe that we are all created as equals. I don’t think that we should be judged by the color of our skin or our sexuality. We are all human we always make mistakes and we learn from them. I want to make a difference in this world. I don’t believe in a “bad” person I believe that everyone has good in them but it is their choice if they want to be good. I know that people are different and they like or do different things. I believe that girls can do anything that a boy can do. I don’t think we are born to be perfect, we were born to make mistakes and that’s ok.
This year as a seventh grader I a made 3 “everest goals.” For my first goal I wanted to be more principled because I was not always so honest about problems or

I like to work alone sometimes. At other times I like to work in groups. Or with just one student. Sometimes I will distract myself. I have a red personality, but I totally disagree with it. Here is what it reads.. It says that I am a “get it done” type of person.80% of the time that can be me, but sometimes I’m not that person. It also says that I and driven, competitive and that I like to be in control. I don’t think that I like to be in control. I’m the girl in the back, letting others guide me so I don’t mess up. I am driven, when I want something I will go for it. I am not so competitive, though. Most of the time I do what I am supposed to do, but sometimes I want to do my own thing and do it the way I want to.
I don’t think I have just one learning style, I feel like I have multiple learning styles. In class we did all these test to find out who we are as a learner to be able to do this paper and the poster or document that comes with this assignment. Doing these test and exercises I found that I am a little bit of everything. I am not just one number I am a 1,2,3, and 4. I don’t have just one learning style. On some days I want things to be organized and put together. On other days I really don’t care where my notes go on the age I focus on getting good notes and writing down everything.
I want to have a bright future, in order to do that I need to work hard now. So I can have a steady job and I am able to support myself. To do this I
I believe in people (Berstein 19). I believe there is good in every human being because of the choice we have between right and wrong (19). In “The Mountain Disappears”, Leonard Bernstein tells us that it is what we choose to do with that free will is what defines us. Something that we need to believe in is love. Love is a commitment and teaches us how to be passionate about something that makes us a better person. I believe that every single one of us has the ability to change and that when we change, we have great potential (19-20). Everyone has the potential to make a difference in the world. I believe in the attainability of good (21). We all have it, so why don’t we use it?
My learning style is a pragmatist since I like to get feedback from others about my work, I like to experiment and try things out and I would rather get on with tasks rather than talk about. The good learning situations from being a pragmatist is I have a clear link between thinking and what has to be done, when there are opportunities I always try to try them out, and I am happy to copy from role models since it benefits me as I gain more knowledge as to what I need to do. The bad learning situations I get from this is a m unable to identify the relevance of what sometimes needs to be done in a task and I do not like not having guidance on how to do things as I get stuck very easily.
It’s important for me to identify my ‘Learning Style’ because it maximises my own personal learning; Honey and Mumford states ‘’each learner ought to understand their learning style and seek out opportunities to learn using that style’’ to do this. I’d say I’m very particular about the way I go about learning and I am not entirely open-minded in my approach to
writing a paper, I like to bounce off my ideas with someone. Math if you show
But my learning style is visual learner because I can remember things best by looking at them. Secondly I’m a kinetic learner it is that because I like using my hands for things such as typing. I really like typing. I’m not that well of an auditory learner because it's just harder to remember instructions my mom says it
I believe that learning styles do exist even if there are no evidence to support the myth. For instance, when an individual tries to work on something for several times, he or she is capable of learning one or two things about that particular thing he or she was trying to learn. The individual may learn about the weakness of that particular thing he or she was working on and as a result the individual successful identifies how to handle or manage that particular thing. Learning styles are completely valid even though there is minimal evidence to support this. Learning through visual may allow an individual to process the ideas and the object in play hence understanding all the process and activities taking place (König, 2007). In my opinion,
A time in my life when I attempted to reach a goal was when I got my first skateboard. I had ridden one before but had never had one of my own. I tried to ride it as much as I could and get better.
There are four main types of learning styles: auditory, kinaesthetic, reading and writing, and visual. Each of these theories describes how learning occurs and has its own terminology, perceptions on learning and generalities about teaching and learning. My personal learning style uses a combination of visual, reading, writing and auditory. I prefer using pictures,
I like to take my time with material, but am not always given the allotted time to do so. I also like to keep a written list of things to do to refer to. I am comfortable with my learning style, accepted it as my very own. I am not sure if changing it this late in life is such a good idea. I have got by this far, it must work out for me.
A time when I attempted to reach a goal was in middle school. My goal was to get A’s and B’s throughout my three years of middle school. My goal started right away because I remember when I was 10 years old and my parents told me that in order to get a decent job I needed to get good grades. So the reason I set that goal was to help me get a nice job. And getting a nice job is important for me. It’s important to me because when I get older I might get my house and that’s why I would need a job that pays me about $23 or more per hour. Achieving this goal was essential, I was able to accomplish it by studying for any tests and turning in all my work I was really proud of myself. I remember I was walking through the stage and shaking all my teachers’
I believe in being non-judgemental. I don’t know what someone else is going through behind closed doors, so I don’t have an input on their lives. It’s not like I’d have any room to speak, I’m epileptic and I would hate people to judge me for having something I couldn’t control. I believe in family. My parents are divorced and I don’t see my mom anymore, I don’t see a lot of my family anymore. I don’t want any of those things for my own family. Those things have impacted me, they make me want a better future. I believe in equal rights. It’s a belief everyone should have, but many people seem like they don’t. They don’t understand that differences need to be embraced, whether it’s race or sexuality. I was raised to accept others, and treat them
What is a learning style? Well a learning style is the way a person tends to learn best. It involves your preferred method of taking in, organizing, and making sense of information, Lake Washington Institute of Technology (2012). Some people prefer to learn by doing and touching, others prefer to learn by seeing, or by hearing the information. Still others learn using more than one learning style. If a person was interested in finding out what their particular learning style is would be to take the VARK questionnaire for learning styles. The most common learning style is the multimodal, but the learner
Looking at these learning styles, I am a Multimodal learner according to my VARK result test. With several methods of learning, this employs diverse ways to help me memorize and understand what I’ve learned much better by changing between different learning styles that any teacher might use to teach because, I like numerous ways of absorbing information.
There are three main learning styles which are Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic. The three of these are different ways of how you prefer to learn, and how you consume information efficiently.
Do I keep orderly notes? Am I good at memorizing lists, definitions, or math formulas easily? Maybe I am a hands-on person who doesn’t feel the need to read the instruction manual. On the other hand, I might be the one who is always ready to volunteer to give any presentations, and be the first to talk in class. According to the book, NEW BEGINNINGS A Reference Guide for Adult Learners, it is stressed that “Part of the process involves reflecting upon your own learning style, examining your strengths and weakness as a learner and responding to your needs when you create your plan for learning” (Simon 15). What is my learning style and how do I find it? When I was an adolescent, and began to have difficulties in school I had no clue that there were different types of learning styles. Reading, spelling, and handwriting came easily for me while math and science were daily struggles. If I could see it and write it I retained the information. By recognizing and understanding my own learning style I can use techniques better suited to me. This can improve my speed, help me make informed choices about my classes, and enhance my quality of learning.
