After reviewing the NCR Country club case study, I think changing their current operation will help them to be successful. The current issues surrounding the NCR Country club operation are the lack of attracting new membership and amenities. And I think the decline has caused the club not to make any profits, which will affect their development. As a researcher I would recommend increasing membership and hiring more staff in order to meet the need of members to change their operation. In changing of current operation I would also recommend NCR Country club to change menu options. After adding the restaurant to facilities, menu option is very important because this will determine if member will prefer to eat in the facilities restaurant or
SUMMARYThe case, "Greenhill Community Center", depicted the dilemmas and crises that the new Executive Director, Leslie, had encountered after she got accepted as the new Executive Director of the Greenhill Community Center. Mark Lauber, a Wharton School of Business graduate, founded Branchburg Sports Complex (BSC) in 2008 after selling his and his father’s previous venture to another company. As a lover of sports and family entertainment destinations such as Disney Land, Mark envisioned bringing the “wow-factor” that these world renowned destinations possess to the realm of sports centers. BSC is a 78,000 square foot facility consisting of four indoor turf fields, basketball courts, training center, multi-level PlayMaze, arcade with redemption center, batting cages, and a three-floor 9,000 square foot interactive fantasy-themed laser tag arena. Advertising “fun and excitement for the whole family,” Mark truly provides activities for all demographics. He
By offering more than alcoholic drinks, the club will bring in a wider variety of people. They will be providing games such as video games, pool and shuffleboard for additional entertainment and appeal to people not there just to drink. The food in the club will be affordable and appeal to many. There is your typical bar food such as hot wings, nachos and burgers, as well as moderately priced entrees. In addition to the amenities, the service will be key. There will be friendly high energy staff available to create a comfortable environment. Having a high staff to customer ratio will improve the service in the club.
The strengths of the business would be having knowledgeable, trained, educated, and experienced staff. Lavish décor and great food and prices will add to those strengths. Location that is easily accessible and close to home for most of the guest. The restaurant would offer discounts to the college students and the travelers that are passing through, having a good reputation will be a strength and help build clientele. According to the data there is no other restaurant in the area with the same concept. The weaknesses of the business would be targeting multiple segments and trying to satisfy all of their wants and needs. Another weakness would be trying to keep the restaurant as trendy as possible but would be difficult with the changes in trends, what’s hot today may not be the next. The area is not completely in need of the type of restaurant and lounge in mind, therefore getting people to be open to and supportive of the idea is a concern. Poor reputation among customers by not giving a good first impression or not meeting their expectations would be a weakness for the company. Other weaknesses may include high costs, lack of access to key natural resources and distributors. The opportunity is that because of the current recession it would be the optimum time to open a business that would create jobs. Restaurant space can be negotiable and very
Even though your series Chesapeake Shores has come to an end as far as a book series goes, will you ever consider writing any more books in that series?
The Broadway play “Clybourne Park” is based off the movie and play “The Raisin in the Sun”. It is written by Bruce Norris and was honored with many awards including the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for drama and the Tony Award for best play. Bruce Norris wrote the play by having it pick up right where “The Raisin in the Sun” left off. By doing this, Bruce Norris picks up where the drama was and shows the racial tensions in the 1950’s and 1960’s up until present day. To create this, writer Bruce Norris created a play with only two acts. The first act is based in the late 1950’s and early 60’s right after the war. The second act is based in the same house fifty years apart in the year 2009. By doing this

These potential customers could be targeted by increasing the number of items in the menu.
One apparent solution is that the NCRCC can not rely on NCR membership to sustain itself, it must become a stand alone club with open membership. Further research showed that NCR employees had a desire for more of a full service club that offered more than just golf. For example fitness centers, spas, and tennis courts were among the additional facilities requested.

Next up, the research question, a well-formulated research question needs extreme specificity and preciseness which guides the implementation of the project keeping in mind the identification of variables and population of interest (Aslam, 2010). The primary focus of the research question, is ways to help increase membership, however, there are numerous things to take into consideration. A few research questions I would suggest asking is: How long does the membership process take at the NCR Country Club? How does NCR Country Club compare to other privately owned country club’s in the area? What factors should be considered when trying to increase club membership? By answering these questions, it should help management with figuring out ways
