My personal mission is to graduate from high school with at least a 4.0 GPA and have a career in biology or the medical field. I want to talk more often and build relationships with new people I meet. I want to be able to stay positive even when I experience failure and learn from it, to be able to listen to criticism without fear, but with an open mind. I want myself to understand that there will be times where I would do something that I will regret or something unfortunate will happen to me, and that I must accept it. I must close the door behind me if I want to open the door that will let me continue forward. I need to learn that limits aren’t something meant to stop me from fulfilling my ambitions, but for me to surpass. Although there is a voice in my head telling me “No, there is no way I can accomplish anything, I’m too ignorant, I am too lazy, return to safety, etc.” I know none of these are true. I know that my strengths such as dedication, resilience, and hardworking personality will help me accomplish my aspirations. Furthermore, I am an individual who will never give up, even if I am told unless I deem it impossible. I want to remind myself that I can complete anything without any limits, if I put in the effort.
History[edit]
Rubingh’s idea to create a new sport fusing the two disciplines, chess and boxing, originates from the 1992 comic Froid Équateur—written by French comic book artist Enki Bilal (born Enes Bilalović)—that portrays a chessboxing world championship. In the comic book version, however, the opponents fight an entire boxing match before they face each other in a game of chess. Finding this to be impractical, Rubingh developed the idea further until it turned into the competitive sport that chessboxing is today with alternating rounds of chess and boxing and a detailed set of rules and regulations.[4] An earlier version of combining chess and boxing was said to have taken place in a boxing club outside London in the late 1970s. The Robinson brothers were in the habit of playing a round of chess against one another after a training session at their boxing club. However, no direct correlation can be made between the Robinson brothers’ chess playing and chessboxing.[5] The same goes
I work in the place where people come to rehabilitate their lives after serious injuries. Many patients are there due to events that change their lives forever. Many of my patients are spinal cord injuries which left them paralyzed for life. This where two of my mission statements come from; To accept the things as they are, things that I have no power to change. To advocate for others when they can’t advocate for themselves.
My primary career goal is to study and work with artificial intelligence. Medical procedures, food distribution, and medical diagnoses could all be improved by incorporating it. Artificial intelligence is going to shape the future in groundbreaking ways, and I wish to become a part of it.
First let me introduce myself, I’m Patrice Holmes founder and CEO of the A New Day Foundation. It was a pleasure meeting and speaking with you at the recent community event that you hosted in July. A New Day Foundation will be hosting our Annual Kidney Awareness Dinner this coming November, It would be a great pleasure to have as our special guest speaker this year. I would personally appreciate having you share some of your own a personal experiences throughout your own personal journey. I started A New Day Foundation some 10 years ago after my sister was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure. My goals then and now are not only to help those who suffer with Renal Failure but to focus on supporting the children of
“Sport is the force that unites and empowers us to be better, no matter how you look, what you believe or what language you speak.” These words of Olympian Simone Biles illustrate my life-long passion for sports and the science behind it. I had been an athlete all my life and planned on continuing my track and field career at the collegiate level before a critical injury switched my focus from athletics to academics. When I began my studies at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, I knew my future would involve helping athletes grow to their fullest potential in strength, athleticism, and overall health. Having majored in Health Science with a focus in Health and Wellness Promotion and a minor in Nutrition, I would now like to concentrate on Strength and Conditioning.
Sitting in a classroom during the first course for my Administrative Credential, I still clearly recall the moment when I first heard that quote. I had been a classroom teacher for over ten years and yet I had not necessarily thought of or articulated teaching and learning through this lens. This quote and the ensuing discussion I engaged in with my colleagues that evening, resonated with me so strongly that it forever changed and guided my vision of education.

(ESSAY QUESTION #3) Justify why you agree or disagree with the statement and discuss how you plan to incorporate the Mission Command Philosophy in future assignments. I believe that the Mission Command Philosophy is good in principle as well as an excellent cornerstone for developing an organization while in command. However, leaders must understand that this is only a framework to build upon while leading an organization. Therefore, leaders must be able to tailor their needs as well as their leadership style to the Mission Command Philosophy to achieve successful outcomes.
Throughout my professional career, I have had the privilege of leading, supervising and managing teams on many occasions. In each case, it was incumbent upon me to inspire and empower a group of individuals to work together, and obtain the cooperation of many contributing offices and subject-matter experts to ensure the success of a given project or service initiative. My experience as a liaison professional, coupled with my personal diplomacy skills, enabled me to communicate clearly and effectively, negotiate differences, and achieve consensus on a regular basis.
I want to succeed, I want to thrive. I was created for a purpose, and I intend to fulfill it. My high school chemistry teacher told me I have some “I want to save the world” in me. She told me that after she is gone, she believes that I will make her smile down on me from heaven, or wherever she ends up. I intend to make her do just that. I want to write about what matters. I want people to listen to what I have to say. I want people to take me seriously. I want to be an English major, and I want to show all the kids who wish to become English majors that it isn’t a pointless degree. I want to know how you destroy a monster without creating one. I want to go to law school so I can fight for innocent people put on death row. I want to publish a novel. I want to make my parents proud. I want to be a woman who everyone can look up
By the time I complete my degree, I hope to gain enough influential supporters to be willing to assist me in my quest to finding innovative solutions for improving the current unsatisfactory living conditions on the reservations. Most importantly, I want to be a major voice in criminal justice reform and improvement. My overall vision for the future is to be a leader in effecting major improvements to reservation life so that American Indians can enjoy and embrace their customs and culture without the confines of illiteracy, extreme poverty, and poor
I have many goals in my life that I wanted to fulfill; one of those goals is to have economic security. During these past 18 months that our country was submerged in recession, it pressed me to reflect on how important it is to have economic security. During that period of time, I was reflecting about which would be the best plan of action that can help me to reach my goals. I came to the conclusion that the only good plan was to go back to the University and to obtain a degree. I currently work in a company as a general manager, but that does not give me the security that I need to project my future. And this was the main reason, why I decide to enroll in DeVry University. Now that I’m an active student, I
“To support others in helping them grow academically, individually, passionately, and morally. I will accomplish this by using my knowledge, skills, compassion, and distinctive views in the belief that inherent good and potential resides in all of us.”
These are some interesting goals about my life that I would like people to know about me. These things I will strive for in life to achieve, accomplish, and prosper. Some of these things are becoming a great anesthesiologist, becoming a role model for athletes, and wanting to graduate early.
My Mission Statement is to constantly grow in ways that will take me to higher heights, all while keeping God first, family second, and career third. My goal is to forgive without holding a grudge. Vocalize my feelings when I am hurting or sad, in a way that will be productive in resolving the issue. I also would like to not be so guarded. I will allow others to love me in their own way, and not get upset when it is not the same way I love them. I would like to grow in divine wisdom, love, peace, patience and experience daily joy. As I grow in wisdom, I would also like to impart knowledge in younger generations to help them prevent some of the same mistakes that I have made in the past. I will always try to treat others the way I would like to be
My personal mission is to constantly strive to be the best overall person that I can be within my personal and professional life. My goals are to inspire and help others and myself around me to achieve greatness and a balance that will maximize our potential that will transcend the boundaries of our dreams.
