On Thursday 12/01/16 at 2236 hours I was dispatched to Terminal Park Elementary School located at 1101 D ST SE because four juveniles had knocked over a donation bin and were throwing rocks at the school (reference AP160088033). Dispatch advised it was possibly related to two other malicious mischief calls that had just previously occurred in the nearby area.
I knew Officer D. Pedersen was at 107 16th ST SE located in the city of Auburn, King Co, WA, for a rock being thrown through a living room window at about 2216 hours. I contacted an employee, and he stated they did not find any damage to their building. I asked the employee if anyone had seen the males throwing rocks at the building, and he said they did not, they only saw some subjects walking away off in the distance after the rocks were thrown.
I returned to Terminal Park Elementary to check the building for damage, and did not locate any. I took photographs of the donation bin that was tipped over. I checked the bin for damage, but did see any.
While I was at the school, a subject, who requested to remain anonymous and would not provide me with his name, stated he believed the juvenile males Officer Pedersen and I were contacting earlier were the males who knocked over the bin. The subject told me he did not know which one of the males knocked the bin over, but went on to say the males threw rocks at the front door of the school. I walked to the front door and did not see any damage to the windows or doors and I did not see any rocks on the ground near doors.
It is likely the group of males Officer Pedersen and I contacted were the same subjects that had damaged Bickham's window, and thrown rocks at Regency Auburn, but at this time there is no witness to establish probable
Back on October 3, 1974 at approximately 10:45pm two Memphis police officers were on patrol and received a complaint from dispatch to respond to a burglary in progress (Tennessee v. Garner, 1986). After arriving, a neighbor told the two officers she heard glass breaking next door and “they” were breaking into the home (Tennessee v. Garner, 1986). While officer Wright radioed back to dispatch the situation, officer Hymon proceeded to the backyard of the home (Tennessee v. Garner, 1986). Hymon then heard a door slam and seen a person running across the lawn towards a chain link fence, later identified as Edward Garner
