4. HOP HLP Project. • Introduction. I worked with ERD Team to develop needed project which is HOP HLP project, I applied the concepts I learned in the Human Computer Interaction and System Analysis and Design courses and I read about the project topic in different companies sites before I start working in the project and I read a lot of articles and see a lot of videos about this topic. In this project the user (Employee) will be using the system in easy way from his own office so that he can request for home ownership or loan and complete all the procedures without going to any place (HR department). Also the HR employee will benefit from this system, it will save their effort and time in collecting requests and ranking the employees according to the consistence and priority check-in age, marital status and functional class. The program itself will be managing each request with its own ranking process and it will update the request status for the employees to make he/she able to see the request status anytime. The main purpose is to convert the old procedure using papers and forms to be as a program that make the request more easier on all employees. At the end of this project we will be solving or at least reduce the problem of dilation of a request so that the employee can know that his request is issued and will be updated of its status. Riordan wants to integrate and change the HR applications with a new state-of-the-art information system. The company wants to have the HR department to have the ability to assesses resources and tools all in one application.
Each phase of the project will be completed within the time that was given. IF the project team cannot complete each phase on time, the project team will work overtime. Each phase of the project will be tested and a detailed report will be created after each phase is completed. The V.P. of operations will sign off the report when each phase is completed. The individuals that will test during each phase of the project will be several members of the HR department. As soon as the HR System has been tested and finalized, each member of the HR department will be trained to operate the new software that will be added to the upgraded HR System.
Riordan manufacturing has requested an upgrade to their current human resources system. They currently have several disparate tools that are patched together in order to complete HR functions. Many Excel spreadsheets are used by different parts of HR, and combining all resources into one system can provide many time saving advantages and a more reliable system over all. By reviewing who the stakeholders are and what the best information-gathering techniques are we can ensure that we collect the information for the requirements and stay within the scope of the project.
