Introduction The company’s current state is exceptional. The company has been running for little under two years and already has become a twenty-five million dollar business. Although many of the features of the company are still underdeveloped, there are many opportunities that are forecasted for the growth and success of the company. The systems analyst is responsible for defining, developing, configuring, and supporting computer applications (Norton, 2011). The network administrator is responsible for the oversight, management, and maintenance of computer network systems and data circuits (Norton, 2011). The project managers are responsible for the oversight of the management, support, and technical assistance on special projects (Norton, 2011). The database administrators are responsible for initial database architecture design through implementation, administration, monitoring, tuning, and backup, migration, and support (Norton, 2011). The responsibility of the IT manager is to ensure the smooth functioning of the IT department (Norton, 2011). Lastly, the help desk technician’s responsibilities are to ensure the smooth functioning of lower level IT needs. They are responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting of problems with the hardware and software that occur in the company’s operation (Norton, 2011).
Infrastructure
The company initially stared out as a small business. There are a limited number of personnel including the four information technology specialists. In addition to the inadequate number of employees, there is a limited information technology infrastructure that was implemented initially. The company is served by an IT infrastructure comprising of an amalgamation of off the shelf software and components and locally developed applications and middleware. The hardware infrastructure is by and large robust and capable of withstanding any current operational peaks. The infrastructure employs a high level of redundancy and good recovery and password management systems, so there is little risk of high business impact in the case of IT issues. No architecture document exists and minimal change control is executed.
When planning assessment you need to gauge a clear idea of what level the candidate is at to see if they are ready to complete your planned assessment. There are many ways of achieving this knowledge. One method is observation in performance or another by taking an initial assessment test which have seven levels with the basic entry level 1 being the first.
This is to ensure that the necessary raw materials and physical resources are available at each stage, and that the workforce on site has the right skills for the scheduled work. The project management team will need to produce a series of planning documents that can be accessed throughout the project. Each member of the project management team must know their role and responsibilities, including which sections of the workforce they will be directly managing.
Once an employee begins employment with a company he or she must first go through completion of the internship program. During the program the employee has a very important briefing that he or she completed on time, and then presented to the CEO of the company. Our company Wireless Software Inc. is an innovative Internet-based company with gross revenues of more than $35 million dollars per year. Our company will be merging with a multinational company Skyguard Software Inc. of equal size, as a result of merging it produced Navitech Software Inc and we will be responsible for developing a project plan to strategically integrate all systems, including databases and infrastructure. An operating unit should ensure individual staff are not committed more than 50% of their time to the project. This will allow staff members to keep in touch with their line responsibilities. Experience has shown that the required time commitment to a project is not constant, at times needing full time attention (testing for example) and at times requiring minimal investment. The 50% relates to their overall time commitment. Exceptions to this rule are for the staff resource(s) who will become the systems administration, the project manager and change management facilitators if applicable.
