Methodology

3.1 Research Plan
This research has three stages, from discover to define, develop and deliver.

Stage1
Firstly, in the section of discover includes, getting the problem identification, finding out key questions, definition of research aim, and clarifying the research objectives. Once decide the interest topic which are social enterprises and innovation culture, and start the wide rage of literature reviews. The rage of literature review in this stage include: social enterprises journals, the challenge of social enterprises, design management journals and review, design strategy etc. As well as books of social enterprises and design and innovation etc. Literature review section will extend until stage2 and stage3. …show more content…

The books and videos will take into account such as,

organization survival guide, emerging social enterprises, and the TED Talk which related to design, business and creativity topic. Moreover, some related article from organizations’ websites would include in this research such as FastCompany, Social enterprises UK, Social Enterprises Insight, and The Guardian etc. The Primary research would focus on those case studies companies to process in-depth survey, for example; interviews with social entrepreneurs and staff, also the expert of innovation and social enterprises profession; the observation in local UK social enterprises’ companies; and the questionnaire with employees in creative industries.

Stage3
The last stage is the transaction from develop to deliver, to analyze the data from all primary research in order to gain the key insights and findings of this research, then integrate with secondary research. Ultimately, to develop all the key findings to assist this research to develop the discussion and deliver the recommendation— the framework.

3.2 Research Tools
The initial step is to discover the problems, key question and the aim, and clarify the objectives in order to guild this project to achieve the aim. The chosen Research Tool as follow:
Literature Review, Case studies, Observation, Interviews, Expert interviews, questionnaires.
