American Sniper is a 2014 movie about Chris Kyle, a Navy Seal Sniper who served 4 tours of duty in Iraq, and credited with being the most lethal United States Sniper of all time. The movie follows Kyle’s life from the attacks of 9/11, the impetus for joining the military, through his 4 combat tours as a sniper in Iraq, and the years after his military service, including the event that led to his death in 2013. Much of the film shows Kyle’s combat experience, the actions he took, and consequently the turmoil that results from those actions. The movie was not only a commercial success, it was also a catalyst for debate on the morality of war, and how it affects those who fight wars. The first review I read was
“Beauty and the Beast” is the movie poster that I love to write about because this is one of my favorite movies. The poster shows a red rose that is keep in the inside of a clear glass container, which light up in the dark background that portrats the sadness. Due to the organization of this poster, I think it wants to show the audience about the hope of love. The rose in the middle represent the love that is keep and wait to be releast. There is also snow in the background which it mentions about the coldness and loneliness of the Beast in this movie. I am enjoing this poster because it have a deeper meaning than what it actually looks like. Some other posters of this movie show its charaters and this would be too easy to know what the movie
How To Train Your Dragon is a children’s animation movie created by Dreamworks and directed by Chris Sanders and Dean Deblois. Released in 2010, the film features a young viking who through a course of strange events, end up befriending a dragon, going against everything his viking brethren stood for. Struggling to find acceptance, the young viking Hiccup, and his dragon Toothless end up changing both their worlds. This movie is easily one of my favorite films! Beside this film including a wonderful plot line, great celebrity voice actors, and amazing animation, this film also includes something else I enjoy, Mythology! Norse Mythology, to be more precise.
Perhaps, the powerful storyline of the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was what encouraged one of the greatest cinematic martial arts directors Ang Lee, to make a film out of the Chinese novel. In this film, Lee’s primary function is not only to portray skillfully choreographed fighting scenes, but also to connect powerful sequences of events that touches upon the emotional complex human condition that is associated with both the Taoist and Buddhist belief systems. By not allowing action to be the sole guiding force of the narrative of Crouching
The movie was a serious success at 2016 Sundance Film Festival in Utah. It not only won the festival’s Grand Jury Prize; picked up an “Audience Award”; settled a record-breaking $17.5 million distribution deal with Fox Searchlight; but it even kick-started the early 2017 Oscar buzz.

So pretend you are a man in jail, yes you committed the crime, but you believed that the proof in front of you was the end. In your eyes what that detective presented to you was the whole “proof in the pudding”, but then you figured out that it was a ruse. You submit the report under the Article 38.23, denied, and then still had to serve long years in jail. At this point you might think to yourself “The system is failed”, but there is light at the end of that tunnel.
The Weinstein Company, Netflix, and IMAX are teaming up to produce the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend through both the streaming and in the IMAX theaters. Sarah Moran states this has angered AMC, Regal, and Cinemark as they feel this is cutting them out of the distributing process and have refused to screen the film. This article continues to discuss how movie theaters do not want to work with streaming services such as Netflix, and even more so when they believe new films being streamed online as well in theaters are a huge threat.
Gavin Hood’s adaptation of Orson Scott Card’ The Ender’s Game is a very thrilling adventure.

Movies today don’t show a lot of religion elements they are mostly focused on action, sex, romance, or adventurous. Before movies would talk about religions and how they work and also have a story to them. One movie in particular does a great job in portraying Buddhism. This movie is Little Buddha. This movie is both great for teaching and entertainment. Little Buddha doesn’t just entertain but also uplifts people’s spirits and leaves them with positive feelings. The movies does a good job in expressing the religion, it is not related to me because of the different beliefs, but it’s more related to Hindu people, the movie does have a message for the viewers, and it does have a purpose.
An animated Disney movie called "Mulan," was directed by Tony Bancroft and Barry Cook in 1998. The moral of the story is that women can be just the same as men can. I support the general meaning of the movie. I believe men that and women should be treated equally and that women should not be seen as weak or frail. Women are more than just wives or slaves and can-do jobs that have traditionally been set-aside for men. They can be successful and bring honor to their families in other ways.
For this film review, I watched the film Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. It tells the story of Percy, son of Poseidon, and his quest to discover both who he is and who stole the mighty lightning bolt of Zeus. The film is aimed at families, and generally shows an accurate representation of the Greek myths. There are a few key differences though, which are mostly used to present the Greek Gods in a better, more likable tone for the movie.
The Thor: Ragnarok story involves the mighty Thor finding himself imprisoned in a different part of the universe. Hence, in a race to safe is home Asgard from the powerful Hela, he leads a quest for survival that involves him fighting the Hulk. Taika Waititi directed the movie, and his trademark is seen all over the movie with the movie's sense of humor and vibrant nature. The movie time frame is after the Avengers: Age of Ultron, which explains why both the Hulk and Thor are not present in Captain America: Civil War. The movie is a quirky cosmic adventure comedy that features some of the most colorful supporting characters in the Marvel universe such as Loki, the Incredible Hulk, and Valkyrie. The movie through the assembled cast translates very well on the screen throughout their performances.
